The Penthouse was a lot quieter than usual as Dick Grayson moved through the door. Had been on long shifts all week with the Bludhaven police department. The man hated being away from his brother so much, especially since recently the two had each other. Of course, they had Alfred too, but he knew the older man could only handle Damian for long. As he set the keys down and took his uniform jacket off, hanging it on the back of the stool, he noticed things were not in place.

"Alfred?" Dick called out to the man who had become his grandfather. "Lil D?" He was met with silence both times, and his eyes immediately scanned for the common areas where he would be left a note by either of them, but there was nothing. His hand moved to the gun still holstered, and he pulled it out, keeping it pointed low as he moved around, making note of the sketchbook that had been abandoned, the drawing utensils still spread out on the table, which Damian never left out when finished.

His attention was drawn toward the back room as he heard movement, and he made his way toward the sounds. They were coming from Damian's room, and he hoped it was the young boy and had just ignored the call he had given out earlier, but he also knew deep down that it would not be him. Dick put his hand on the door handle before shoving the door open and raising his gun up, only to be met by one himself.

"It's just us." Dick heard a familiar voice. "Both of you just lower your weapons and chill out for a second.

"Tim?" Dick's eyes then moved to the person his gun was aimed at. "Jason?"

"Didn't know you were still on the force, dickhead." Jason said, lowering his own gun.

"What are you two doing here?" He asked. The question came from not having seen them in at least four months. He watched as his younger brothers looked at each other, then Jason held out his hand.

"We'll tell you, but you have to give me the gun, not risking you shooting us."

"I wouldn't shoot you guys." Dick said immediately, but Jason didn't back down and Dick handed the gun over. "Now what's going on?"

"We were hoping to get here before they got him and Alfred." Tim began, and immediately the color from Dick's face drained. "They aren't dead. I'm pretty sure they wanted them alive."

"Who is them?"

"Talia is in Gotham." Jason spoke up, and Dick's heart raced. "She came to take Damian back"

"Like hell she is!" Dick yelled as he left the room, making his way toward the entrance to the Batcave. Jason and Tim both followed behind him. "Do you know where they are?"

"Dick, you can't just go and fight Talia." Tim told him.

"I can, and I will."

"It's…"

"What do you care, Tim!?" Dick suddenly yelled, and Jason moved in front of the smaller boy . "You both ran off. It's only been the two of us. If it isn't Bruce always leaving us, it's everyone else in the goddamn family. Alfred is the only other constant. You can either help me or leave, because I'm going to get my son back."

Jason and Tim glanced at each other, surprised by the words that had left their oldest brother's mouth. The two knew that Dick and Damian had been close, but they never knew that Dick considered the youngest as his son. "We'll help." Jason said. "That's why we came back."

"Good. if you were going to try to stop me, you would have lost." he said as the three entered the cave. Tim and Jason remained together while Dick put on his uniform, surprised because he put the cowl on instead of Nightwing. They had known that he had been wearing it while Bruce was gone, but still had been expecting him to walk out as Nightwing. "What information do you have on Talia?"

"Old warehouses down at the dock. You're probably walking into a trap." Tim told Dick. He received a nod in response. "She has backup. We aren't sure how many."

"Well, good thing I have backup too." Dick told him. "Oracle. I need you to send out a signal to the others in Gotham. Just have them ready and near the docks, in case it's needed."

"Got it. And Dick, just promise me you'll be careful."

"Sure," he said as he moved to the Batmobile.

"I'll ride with you." Tim told him quickly, and Jason made his own way toward his bike. As the brothers moved in on the location, the comms were silent. Tim looked over at Dick and sighed. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have left again."

"I'm sorry I snapped. I know it isn't easy when B is away. It's been a reminder of what happened before." Dick told him. "I'm glad you came back, though."

"Damian isn't as bad as before. I have to say it's probably because of you. You've been a good influence and I can't say I'm really surprised. I kind of got used to him being around, and Talia…"

"He deserves better than Talia." Dick told him. "She took Alfred, and she took Damian. She did this because she wants our attention."

"And you know you are giving her exactly what she wants." Tim stated. "Why do that?"

"I know Talia underestimates me. Damian told me himself that she has never seen me as a threat. She's about to learn just what happens when you mess with my family." Dick explained, as they stopped.

"Dick…"

"No names in the field RR." He said as the door opened and he climbed out. Jason stood near his bike and watched as Dick moved toward the warehouse.

"How does he seem like he's doing?" Jason asked Tim as the teen walked over to him.

"I think he's reached a point where he's so angry that he's appearing calm."

"Shit. Look. If it comes down to it, I want you to get the demon out. Him and Alfred are the priority. I'll make sure the big bird gets out."

"And Talia?" Tim asked.

"I make no promises with her. Depends if a certain someone shows up. "

"I don't like this Hood. "

"You think I do?" he asked Tim.
