Black clouds closed over the Ark. It started
A powerful wind blew up, snow fell so much that you could barely see two steps ahead.
The boards of the houses groaned under the pressure of the wind.
The vending machines were running at full speed to refill the coal, the steel mills were shut down and the vending machines were directed to the kitchen, where soup was served to reduce the consumption of food supplies.
It lasted fifteen days until finally there was silence ... Ringing silence.
People came out of their houses and looked at the sky without a cloud, and it was there that they shouted for joy.
They made it, they survived the great storm.
John circled the table, Ryder and the puppies sitting in the chairs.
- Why did you call us? Ryder asked, adjusting the hooks on the prosthesis.
He lost his hand when he slipped building houses. He was lucky that he fell to the side, not on the back. The hand can be replaced with a prosthesis, the spine cannot.
- Because I trust you the most, and im shouldn't make such a serious decision on im own ... He said when he stopped going around ... Somewhere out there, there are other judgments, bigger and smaller. And now the question is, should we find them and help if necessary, or only take care of ourselves?
There was a silence as they all looked at each other.
- How would you like to find them? ... Asked Rocky ... Because stalkers can travel far, but only as far as their food supplies allow. And this one is enough for two weeks at the most.
- See, Rocky ... John said ... These generators are a very simple structure. I developed a small version resembling a heating node. We have enough materials to build a large airship that can travel for months.
- What about coal? There are still a lot of animals alive. Food is not a problem. Chase asked.
- There are places where there are unfinished generators. We will find them, we will complete them, and this is where these new cities will be harbors for the airship. We will mine coal for the airship there and generally live there and search for people.
- And the weather? Everest asked
- We will be building large hangars where it will be stored in the worst weather. Anyone else have any questions?
- How do you know all this? Ryder asked.
- When it became obvious that winter was not going to end, I broke into the project management center and copied the map and everything I found useful. Our generator is one of about 100. And there are probably judgments without generators.
Everyone was silent before nodding their heads.
- Let's do it. Ryder said
- Let's help them. Chase said
- This might be interesting. Everest said.
The rest just nodded.
John smiled and stood up. He took a piece of paper and showed on it the symbol of a blue dog's paw and the background was a snowflake.
- This is our new symbol.
