Belle helped the injured Adam up onto the balcony, where he laid down on the floor, gasping while saying. "You...you came back."
"Of course, I came back." said Belle. "I couldn't let them...oh, this is all my fault. If only I'd gotten here sooner."
"Maybe...it's better...this way" gasped Adam.
"Don't say that. You'll be all right." assured Belle. "We're together now. Everything's going to be fine. You'll see."
With the last of his strength, Adam placed his paw on Belle's cheek while saying. "Then...at least...I got to see you...one last time."
Belle held onto Adam's paw, which started to drop as he fell back, dead.
"No!" gasped George.
"Oh, no!" gasped Helen.
"He...he's gone!" gasped Pony.
"No!" pleaded Belle. "Please! Please! Please, don't leave me! I love you."
The minute she said those words, the last petal fell off the rose.
Thinking that she and Pony failed to help break the spell, Annie started to weep when her family, Maurice, Lumiere, Cogsworth and Mrs. Potts gathered around to embrace them while Chip hopped to where Belle sobbed over the loss of her Beast.
But as soon as he dropped down, Chip noticed a beam of light falling like a shooting star. Then another came, and another, and another.
"Uh, guys?" he said.
Belle, then, noticed what was going on too when she saw Adam's lifeless body rise up in the air.
The Bramleys, Maurice, Lumiere, Cogsworth, and the Potts stared in awe as well as Adam started to change in the enshrouding fog.
"Whoa, fingers!" Pony exclaimed as the beastly paws were turned into hands.
"And toes!" he added as the hind paws turned into feet.
Finally, the wind blew across his face, melting away the fur to reveal...a young prince, who gradually descended onto the floor again.
Belle reached out to touch him, but once the fog disappeared, she jerked her hand back when he began to move.
He stood up, looked at his hands, then turned to face Belle, who stared at him with surprise.
"Belle, it's me." assured the young man, whom Belle curiously looked at, from his hair...to his blue eyes, which made her finally realize...
"It is you!"
Annie and Pony stared at each other, then smiled, knowing that this man was, indeed, Adam, who stared passionately at Belle...and kissed her.
"Whoo-hoo-hoo-hoo-hoo!" cheered Annie as she hugged Pony, who cheered. "We did it! We did it!"
"It is a miracle!" exclaimed Lumiere.
A fireworks display exploded around them. The gloom surrounding the castle disappeared, revealing the morning sky.
The castle was transformed, with the gargoyles changing into cherubs.
While seeing the castle return its glorious splendor, Belle, Adam, Maurice and the Bramleys noticed the transformation of...
"Lumiere? Cogsworth! Mrs. Potts!" Adam exclaimed, hugging the now-humanized staff. "Look at us!"
"Look at me!" Chip called out, transforming back into a boy while Sultan turned into a dog.
"Oh, my goodness!" chuckled Mrs. Potts as she picked up her son.
As she and her family watched Adam swing Belle around, Annie asked Pony while holding up the fairy-tale book. "So, what does the ending tell us, hmm?"
Pony stared at the book, which he tossed on the side, recalling Mrs. Potts' words. "Why read through the tale as old as time...when you can be a part of it!"
