Space girl

It was morning and Remus had a killer headache and was exhausted, half asleep at the table while Peter, Lily and Marlene were discussing homework. He'd noticed the fact that Peter hadn't been able to look him in the eye yet, which meant that he knew everything that happened the previous night. How great. Not that Remus cared. If Peter didn't like it, he could bring it up with James or Sirius.

He couldn't think straight at all, he couldn't stand getting less than 4 hours of sleep. It drained him completely. And they had some stupid exam later that day. He didn't know what subject. Or what he was meant to know for it, but Lily said it wasn't worth anything, so hopefully he could get out of it by going to see Pomfrey. He shook his head, running his hands through his hair, a habit he'd gotten from Prongs.

"Remus. Remus, get your hair away from my food," Marlene laughed, throwing a strand of his hair back at him.

He groaned, wiping his face, "Sorry."

"Didn't sleep?" Lily asked.

Peter snorted and got slapped on the arm by the other boy, "Yeah. Just a sleepless night, y'know."

Peter didn't say anything, knowing Remus wouldn't hesitate smacking him, but that would go for anyone who tried to annoy him at this hour. Lily nodded, Marlene muttered something along the lines of "Yeah, I get that."

"Where's James and Sirius?"

Remus looked around, "James is there," he said, pointing to the boy sauntering into the hall, grinning from ear to ear. It was too early for Remus to deal with anyone that happy. Sirius mustn't have woken up yet, which wasn't particularly surprising. "Where were you?"

James collapsed next to Lily, wrapping an arm around her shoulder, "Sleeping."

"Wow, Mr. Quidditch slept in," Peter snorted, exchanging notes with Marlene. Peter was right, he never slept in.

"Yeah, yeah. Blame him," he jokingly pointed at Remus, "Couldn't get Padfoot up though, you really did one on him, Moony."

Remus groaned, dropping his head to the table, "Speak to me again and I'll make sure that you're in pain for the next 6 months, Potter."

"What did you do to Sirius?" Marlene asked. Her, Dorcas and Mary still didn't know that the pair were dating, and no-one had told them, and Remus was not planning for her to find out now. It never came up in conversation, and usually, Sirius was one to hide their relationship, scared for his reputation. It never bothered Remus, he couldn't care less who knew.

"Nothing."

James grinned, nudging Remus to get up, "Don't be so sour. Next time use the fucking silencing spell."

"Next time cut your ears off," Remus snarled, sitting up again, resting his chin in his palms. "God, I'm starving."

"Then eat," Lily said.

"You could say I'm hungry enough to eat a deer."

James froze, staring at his friend, "Well, personally, I'm hungry enough to eat a wolf."

Remus snorted, "Too bad you'd die fighting one. They're quite strong when agitated."

Marlene rolled her eyes, "Children. Honestly. I don't get how you put up with them, Lils." Lily laughed, turning back to the conversations about homework while Remus stared Prongs down, wanting to fight him. It was close to the full moon anyway, of course all his emotions were crazy and unpredictable as hell. Then Marlene gasped, hitting Lily on the arm a few times, "Oh my God."

They all turned towards the entrance, along with most of the student body. Sirius walked in, hair loosely tied in a bun, bags under his eyes and a neck covered in hickeys. Remus could hear girls jealous whispering among each other, wanting to know who the lucky bitch was. And God it made him feel good to be the bitch.

He suppressed a grin as Sirius came over, basically sitting on his lap, "Morning."

"Holy crap," Lily laughed, mouth open wide.

James winked at Remus, making sure to be quiet enough that the Slytherins didn't hear, not as if this wouldn't be spread across the entire school by lunch, "Merlin, Moony, got a bit carried away last night did we?"

Remus went red, glaring at James with purely murderous intent, "I hope you choke on yoir breakfast."

Marlene gasped, finally realising why Remus and Sirius had been so close recently, "No!"

Sirius grinned, taking a piece of toast from Remus' plate and winking at her, "Indeed."

"I'm going to scream," Remus muttered, leaning his head on Sirius' shoulder, too tired to care about everyone else.

"Next time, don't be such a-"

"Finish that sentence and I'll kill you, Peter," Dorcas told him, sitting next to Marlene, "Potter, you didn't come to Quidditch practice."

"Sorry," he mumbled, "Remus had us up all night because he refuses to remember what a silencing charm is."

Dorcas opened her mouth and closed it a few times. "I don't want to know what you mean by that." Marlene leant over, whispering what she'd realised to the other. "Oh, oh I knew that."

"Seriously?" Sirius snorted, turning around to girls that were still whispering about his neck and winking at them. Fucking flirt. Jealousy filled Remus whenever he did that, but he didn't let it affect him too much. He was a natural flirt. Like Potter. Pricks.

"Okay, can we drop this?" Remus begged.

"The fact that you made Sirius look like even more of a slut?" Lily asked, getting a look from Dorcas. "Sorry, I know. But seriously."

"Honestly, I am just glad that I can say I did that and no-one else," Remus mumbled, his cheeks blushing a light pink.

James cheered, slapping him on the back, "There we go, you're proud of yourself. I don't care why." Remus wanted to strangle Prongs. So much. "Anyway," he said, going into some conversation with Dorcas about Quidditch. Remus hummed, at least he was the one who did it to Sirius and no-one else. His constant mood swings this close to the full moon wouldn't have been able to handle anyone else doing that to Sirius.

He stood up, "I'm going to see Pomfrey."

"Getting that day off, eh?" James laughed.

"Yes." Remus snapped, trying to let James know he didn't mean it cruel. Or not that cruelly. But James seemed to understand, waving him out of the hall. Damn his friends.
