Educating Angelica

Angelica looked at her mommy, and idea forming in her head. She'd just said that Angelica had to take Cynthia to school and let other people play with her… there was no way she'd ever let her precious Cynthia go to anyone else. Not with their sticky fingers and drooly mouths and no appreciation for the best doll in the world. She needed to give those stupid kids something else…

Hmmm…

"I could take Cynthia but she's not really my favorite anymore."

"OH? And what is?"

"It's not really a what…" she looked at Tommy, delighting in the idea of him getting bullied by all the other kids. It would teach him for playing with her toys and-

"No."

Angelica blinked, snapping her head back towards her mommy. "What?"

"You aren't taking Tommy to school." The baby in question looked up at Charlotte, confused. Why couldn't he go to the cool? He didn't know what a cool was but he could go there! He was a big baby!

"But mommy-"

"Tommy is a baby, not a toy, Angelica. You are supposed to bring a toy to share."

"But I love playing with Tommy most of all!"

"Tommy is a baby, Angelica. You can't take him. Babies don't belong in school."

"But he could meet all my new classmates and play with their toys and see new things…"

Tommy perked up. He liked making new friends! And playing with new toys! And new things meant new adventures! He wanted to go to cool! He did! Angelica was so nice-

"No, Angelica," Charlotte said firmly. "Now if you want to pick out a different toy other than Cynthia I will consider it-"

"I don't want them to play with any of my toys! Let them have the dumb baby that steals mine!" Tommy, who'd been playing with one of Angelica's toys, looked down at the pink chair he was holding and frowned before focusing once more on the 'Tommy can't go to cool' thing.

Charlotte just narrowed her eyes. "Tommy isn't going to school with you and you are getting a time out."

"But mommy!" Angelica whined.

Tommy, meanwhile, felt his bottom lip tremble. Why couldn't he go to the cool? Why couldn't he meet new people and play with new toys and go on adventures! He was a big baby! He could do it! He could! Why wouldn't his Aunt Charlotte let him?

"WAAAA! WAAAA!" Tommy cried as he realized he was going to miss out on fun stuff AGAIN!

"Angelica, I mean it!" Charlotte said firmly. "You just upset your cousin with your yelling. Now go to your room." Charlotte scooped Tommy up and began to rock him. "It's okay, Tommy, its okay. Angelica didn't mean to frighten you. It's going to be okay…"

Tommy whimpered and cried though, utterly disappointed that he wouldn't get to go and needlessly risk his life.

Er… go on adventure.

Yes.

Adventure.
