There was roughly one year between the events of The Witcher 2 and those of The Witcher 3. This tale is my take on what happened to some of our beloved characters during that time. Malak of Cintra was a very unique individual in more ways than one. Having a legacy to live up to and a destiny to fulfill, puts him in a very difficult situation. But luckily, he possesses the right abilities to get the job done. Especially when there's a monster to hunt. [Complete AU]

After the Wild Hunt's defeat, Ciri and Avallac'h part ways, not anticipating to cross paths ever again. It isn't until Ciri finds herself in a life-or-death situation that she seeks out the elven sage in a moment of desperation and starts to notice certain, buried feelings rising to the surface.
