Arya lags behind the Dursleys as they had forced her to carry all of their bags from the stores. Arya just wants to go back to the hotel room where she can order food and think of a way to get away from them. But luck has it that the Dursleys are now walking towards a beautiful woman.
She has mahogany hair that goes down to her waist, and has extremely pale skin. Her eyes are what really draw Arya in. They are a bright purple, but as Arya inspects her further, discovers that purple is fake.
She notices that she has perfect skin that is covered head to toe. If Hermione was with her, she'd be able to identify what she is.
Arya follows the Dursleys towards the woman and as she gets closer, her magic wells up inside of her, as if begging to take down the woman. She takes note that the woman is careful to not step into the sunlight, but Arya's seeker eyes catch onto the part of skin that does make it into the sunlight.
It sparkles, and now Arya knows what the woman is. She's a muggle vampire. Arya strays to the back of the group that has gathered and shifts all the bags to her left arm. She grips her wand in case she needs to do something.
The group follows the woman, who has introduced herself as Heidi, through the halls and down to the catacombs.
Heidi lamely explains the artwork and sculptures around them, and Arya gives a little smirk wondering what Hermione would do.
They finally make it to a set of doors that remind Arya of her beloved Hogwarts. The doors open and she sees several pairs of red eyes snap towards the group, a predatory look in their eyes.
"I do hope you've enjoyed the tour because it's the last thing you'll see," the man on top of the dais says.
Then the vampires descend, and the screams start. Petunia is one of the first to go and Dudley and Vernon are one of the last.
Arya forms a shield around herself to protect her from the vampires, and once the screams stop, she is the only one left alive. The bags drop to the floor as she sees the blood all around her. She hasn't seen this much blood since the Department of Mysteries.
The vampires are now looking at her. Their predatory gaze makes her almost shiver, but she's looked into the eyes of Voldemort. Nothing can scare her.
She doesn't drop her shield as she closes her eyes. Letter be damned at this point, she is in mortal danger. Instead she strengthens her shields and gets ready for a fight. She doesn't know if she'll make it out of here alive, but she'll be damned if she doesn't put up a fight.
"What a curious creature," the man on top of the dais speaks up.
"Creature, that's laughable," Arya instincually says.
"Ah she speaks," the man laughs. "Would you please step forward?"
Arya looks at him and is thankful for knowing the portkey spell. She readies her wand and transforms her hair tie into a portkey.
"No thanks," Arya says, and before the vampires know it, she is gone and the only thing left is the bags she dropped.
"I believe we have a witch on our hands," Aro exclaims like a child on Christmas. "Demetri, I want you to find her, and bring her back at all costs."
"Yes, master," Demetri bows his head before taking the bags and inhaling her scent. It stirs something within him, and the need to find this girl is at an all time high.
Arya lands in the hotel room and quickly packs her things up before taking the plane ticket and heading to the airport. She doesn't want to be caught by these vampires, especially since she is going to be fighting in a war soon.
She sits in the chair impaitently and waits for her flight, and when it is announced, it couldn't come soon enough. Her magic spikes up and she has to restrain it in case of frying the electronics around her. She doesn't look back as she knows a vampire is on her tail. She makes her way to the plane, and boards it.
The plane takes off thirty minutes later and once they are in the air, Arya's magic calms down. She lets herself rest, knowing her life is once again in more danger than it was before.
Landing in Heathrow and taking a taxi to Privet Drive, Arya's nerves are all over the place. She knows a vampire is on her tail, but she has a war to be fought. Once she arrives in Privet Drive, she packs up her things and changes a bottle into a portkey and transports to the Burrow.
She lands outside of the wards and walks through them and towards the house. She opens the door and sees Mrs. Weasley in the kitchen cooking.
"Oh, Arya, dear. I thought you'd still be in Italy," Mrs. Weasley has surprise written all over her face.
"I was until vampires ate my relatives. I didn't know anywhere else to go, but I know that they'll be after me. I just need to lay low for a while. Do you have any ideas?" Arya asks the older witch with desperation.
"Move around, never let yourself linger for too long," Mrs. Weasley says with sadness in her eyes.
Arya surges forward in a move that surprises Mrs. Weasley.
"Thank you and goodbye. I don't know when I'll see you next," Arya says before she leaves the Burrow.
She grabs her firebolt and puts on her invisibility cloak before she makes her way to the Ministry. If she is to travel, she needs her apparition license.
The test doesn't take her too long and she has her license in no time. She scurries out of the corrupt ministry and starts the hunt that Dumbledore gave her.
She doesn't know where to start her hunt, she wishes Hermione was with her, but she doesn't need to endanger her, especially since there is a vampire on her tail. She apparates and lands herself in a forest. She focuses inside herself and lets Magic guide her. It urges her to apparate somewhere, and she follows.
She lands in front of Gringotts and now she knows there is a horcrux in there, Magic wouldn't lead her astray. She walks through the bank and towards the front desk, when a goblin sees her, he ushers her to a room.
"Lady Potter, what a pleasant surprise," her vault manager, Nagnok, says.
"Yes, my summer has been cut short," Arya says with a tight smile. "I have information that a horcrux is in one of the vaults. I know I will not be able to retrieve it, but it is vital that it is destroyed to end this war."
Nagnok's eyes narrow at Arya, suspicious, but she has always been truthful with her vault manager.
"Magic would not lead me astray and that is who gave me this information. I also know from Albus Dumbledore that Tom Riddle created seven horcruxes. I have destroyed his diary and Dumbledore destroyed the ring last year. And we found another horcrux that turned out to be stolen. So if you do not believe me, believe Magic. You will not be able to contact me because I will be on the run, but I hope you trust Magic enough to believe me," Arya tells Nagnok.
"Thank you for this information, Lady Potter," Nagnok says as he stands from his chair.
"May your vaults overflow and your enemies cower at your feet," Arya says in goodbye.
"May your gold flow like a river and your enemies flee before you," Nagnok replies.
Arya gives him a slight bow of her head before she leaves the bank. She stock piles what she needs on the run and is thankful she found a relatively small tent. She apparates out of Diagon Alley and continues her hunt for the horcruxes
Demetri follows the girl's scent to England. She won't be able to hide from him there if she stays in the country. He follows the trail to many areas she's been. Two houses, a phone box, and a pub. The trail she follows is confusing to him, but he follows it anyway.
Arya apparates around the country for months on end, escaping the vampire and hunting the horcruxes. She doesn't know what the goblins did with her advice, but she hopes they did what she advised.
Arya now finds herself back at Grimmauld Place because Magic was pushing her to the place. Kreacher is there and looks as horrid as he did the last time Arya saw him. After months on the run, Arya probably looks worse than he does.
"Kreacher, do you have a locket belonging to R.A.B.?" Arya asks.
"Why does the half-blood want to know?" Kreacher sneers.
"Because it is a horcrux, and I'm going to destroy it. I need to know if you have it," Arya tells the elf.
Kreacher grumbles underneath his breath before he goes to his cupboard and brings out a locket. He hands it to her and Arya takes the locket out of his hands. She can feel the evilness reeking off of the locket, now she needs to find something to destroy it.
"Thank you, Kreacher," Arya says before she walks out of Grimmauld Place and apparates to where Magic is telling her.
Demetri can smell her scent and hear a crack and knows he is too late, she always somehow manages to avoid him, and it is driving him crazy. He will not fail his master, he will find this elusive witch.
Arya finds herself in the Forest of Dean. She sets up her tent and puts up wards and runes she's learned through this whole hunt. She sets the locket onto the table and scours around her tent for things that can destroy it. She doesn't have any basilisk fangs to use.
Arya picks up the locket and places it on the forest floor just within her wards. She shoots an incendo at it, but the locket doesn't melt. Arya soon becomes frustrated and walks out of her wards. She finds a small pond and can see a glint at the bottom. She inspects more carefully and when she finally gets a good look at it, she realizes it's the Sword of Gryffindor.
Arya strips to her underwear and dives into the cool water. She casts a bubblehead charm and swims to the bottom. Once down there, she can confirm it is Gryffindor's Sword. She grabs the hilt and swims to the surface.
She dries herself off with a quick wave of her wand and dresses once more while putting a warming charm on herself. She goes back to the tent and grabs the locket. She finds the nearst rock and opens the locket.
It shows her fears, but she blocks it out as she strikes the locket with the sword. The locket is destroyed, along with the soul piece and now she has two others to find. Arya walks to her tent and lays down for the night.
When Arya wakes, she looks at her calender to see the date. It's October 31. She gets up and makes herself breakfast before she dresses and takes down camp. She apparates out of the forest and to Godric's Hollow.
Arya walks the streets and finds a house that looks like it was put through an explosion. She reads the messages put there by wizards and witches, and can feel a tear escape. Arya walks away from her old house and to the cemetary. She conjours up a bouqet of lillies and finds her parent's graves.
She kneels in front of their gravestone and sets the lillies on top. She just lets herself be the scared girl who has a vampire after her, and who has the weight of the Wizarding World on her shoulders.
"I wish you were with me, but I know you sacrificed yourselves for me. It hurts that I'll never know you, but I hope you would be proud of me," Arya whispers to the cold dark night.
Tears fall to the ground and Arya stands up. She wipes her tears away before she goes to walk out of Godric's Hollow. An old lady stands in front of her and Arya goes up to her.
"Are you alright?" Arya asks. "Do you need any help?"
The old lady doesn't say anything, but grabs hold of Arya's sleeve and drags her to a house. Arya is confused, but follows any way. What harm can an old lady do? She continues to pull Arya to the house until they are inside.
Arya looks at her imploringly, trying to get an answer, but then the guise drops and Nagini is in the old woman's place. Arya's eyes widen as she shoots the cutting curse at the snake. Nagini dodges it and Arya has to find places to hide so she doesn't die.
Arya shoots another cutting curse at the snake and hits the tail, but doesn't really do any damage. Arya curses herself for trusting an old lady. She grabs a chair and throws it at Nagini, hitting the head and the throws a stunner at the snake. Nagini drops to the floor and Arya uses the cutting curse to cut Nagini's head off.
She can see the soul of Voldemort leave the snakes body and Arya can feel she is getting closer to completing this hunt. Arya feels a sudden chill go down her spine and her eyes immediately dart around and standing at the end of the lane way is the vampire.
His red eyes bore into her and Arya just gives him a smirk before she turns on her heel and apparates to a forest. She sets up her tent and tries to get the vampire out of her head. She now knows what he looks like and who is hunting her.
Demetri can feel frustration fill his body. This is the most elusive woman he has had to track and he always seems to come up short. He catches onto her scent and can feel the beast stirring within. He follows the trail and hopes to find her before she disappears again.
Arya continues on like this for months. Evading the vampire while trying to find more horcruxes. She had destroyed the diary, the locket, Nagini, the ring, hopefully the cup, but she knows there are more out there, she just doesn't know how many.
Arya walks out of her tent and finds an owl perched on a branch with a letter tied to it's leg. It holds it out and Arya takes the letter from the bird. It flies off and Arya walks back into her tent. She opens the letter and finds it is from her vault manager.
Lady Potter,
I hope this letter finds you well, and that you are not dead, either by your hunt or the vampire. We have looked further into your claim of a horcrux in one of the vaults and have found that claim to be true. It has been disposed of.
Nagnok
Arya sighs with relief. The cup is destroyed. She knows there are others out there, but she has no clue where to look. She steps out of her tent and sees the snow melting. She looks into Magic and sees if there is any prodding. It is urging her back to the Burrow.
Arya takes down her wards and her tent before apparating to the Burrow. Evading the vampire once more.
After some time away from this story, I decided to split this chapter in two and have reignited the passion with writing for this. As it goes without saying, I don't own Harry Potter or Twilight and any characters you recognize belong to their respective authors. I will try to keep up on updates, but I don't have a set schedule. Anyway, thanks for sticking with me and this story.
