Zoo Date
Setting 1 Julie's Base
We open our story with Amethyst sneaking into Julie's base.
-Amethyst- (She used her phasing abilities to get into the base. She remained invisible until she found Shadow.) Hey Shadow.
-Shadow- Hey Amethyst you made it. Did Zim see you leave?
-Amethyst- Of course not, silly. I remained invisible the whole time. Now let's get going.
-Shadow- Alright, meet me outside.
-Amethyst- Roger. (She ran out the door.)
-Shadow- (He leaves his room quietly. Then he gets his motorcycle out of the garage and Amethyst turns visible.) Alright I am ready, let's go.
-Amethyst- On that but you remember how it went last time right?
-Shadow- I know but this time Gir is not here to cause a crash and you said you would be willing to try it again. Please Amethyst.
-Amethyst- Alright. Let's give it a go.
-Shadow- Yes! (He put on a helmet.) Safety first. Don't worry you won't regret it. (He gave her one.)
-Amethyst- (She put it on and gulped.) I hope not. (She got on the motorcycle and they were off or so they thought.)
-Julie- And where do you think you two are going? (She said in the garage door way.)
-Shadow- (He stopped the motorcycle and they turned to Julie.) Julie this is not what it looks like.
-Amethyst- Yeah we were- ah…
-Julie- Sneaking off to go on a date without me or Zim knowing about it.
-Amethyst- No, that is not it we…
-Shadow- We're busted aren't we?
-Julie- Very much so. But I will let you go on 3 conditions.
-Amethyst- Sure what are they?
-Julie- You have to tell Zim about the date eventually. (She put a tracker on the motorcycle.) This tracker is not allowed to be removed.
-Shadow- Makes sense. What about the last one?
-Julie- You need to take me to the Zoo. (She said taking the tarp off of the sidecar.)
-Shadow- Oh sure.
-Julie- Great thank you. (They put the sidecar on. Then they were off.)
Setting 2 the Zoo
-Amethyst- Ok we are here.
-Julie- Good. Now you two have fun on your date.
-Shadow- We will. (They left.) So where do you want to go Amethyst?
-Amethyst- Hmm. Oh right well ah…
-Shadow- (He stopped the motorcycle.) Are you ok Amethyst?
-Amethyst- Yah I am fine. I was just wondering. Why did Julie want to go to the Zoo?
-Rachel- She comes here every other weekend.
-Shadow- Rachel Saphira what are you two doing here?
-Rachel- I just got done taking my girl scout troop to the Zoo. I was heading home when I saw you two drop off Julie.
-Amethyst- So Julie comes here all the time alone?
-Rachel- Well yah. She likes seeing the animals.
-Amethyst- That is sad that she is here all alone.
-Shadow- No kidding, it is a real shame that Zim is missing out on this prime opportunity to take her out on a date. Too bad he hates animals.
-Amethyst- Not all of them. Oh Shadow, that is a brilliant idea. (She said hugging him.)
-Shadow- You really think so. Thanks. But, oh I am so sorry Amethyst this interrupts our date.
-Amethyst- Don't worry about it. I love this idea. The two of them deserve it.
-Rachel- Not to mention if this plan goes well then Zim will owe you big time.
-Shadow- That is a nice bonus but I don't care about that. Julie done so much for us and Zim may not like me but I still care for him.
-Amethyst- Oh Shadow you are so incredible. (She kissed him.)
-Rachel- I'm in.
-Shadow- What do you mean you're in sis? Why do you want to come along?
-Rachel- Because I want to see the rest of the Zoo. I barely got to see the lions before one of the girl scouts got sick with the flu.
-Amethyst- Alright then it is a plan. I'll go get dad. (She ran off using her super speed.)
Setting 3 Zim's base
Zim was in his base searching for Amethyst.
-Zim- Where has the smeet gone? Gir have you seen Amethyst?
-Gir- Yes she is right there.
-Amethyst- Hi dad.
-Zim- (She was right behind Zim and she startled him.) Ah! Amethyst you startled the great Zim. Where have you been?
-Amethyst- I went to see Shadow. Then we dropped Julie off at the Zoo. And I was thinking we should take you there too.
-Zim- Why I hate that filthy place. Those disgusting earth animals smell and…
-Amethyst- But you love Julie. And it would be nice to go on a date with her right?
-Zim- Yes that does sound like fun. Ok let's do it but you are coming with me.
-Amethyst- Why do you need me?
-Zim- Because I maybe the amazing Zim but even I could make a fool of myself thanks to those stupid earth creatures. Not to mention if you are with me I can make sure you are not with Shadow.
-Amethyst- Yah about that, Dad Shadow, Saphira and Rachel are coming too.
-Zim- What we don't need them.
-Amethyst- But it was Shadow's idea.
-Zim- It was?
-Amethyst- Yes. I know you don't like him that much but he cares about you. And, you just admitted that something could go wrong. It makes more sense for you to have 8 eyes working in your favor then just two.
-Zim- I guess that does make sense but,
-Amethyst- (She grabbed his hand.) Great, now let's go. (They were off so fast Zim did not even have time to protest.)
Setting 4 back at the Zoo
Julie was at the panda enclosure.
-Julie- Hi Leaf. How are you doing today? (She said talking to a panda. It made a sad bear sound.) Hungry. Oh, you poor panda don't worry I got you covered. (She turned into a mouse snuck into where the Zoo keeper kept the food. Turned back to her human disguise and got some more for Leaf. She went into the panda's habitat as a red panda and gave Leaf the food.) Here you go, Leaf. Well I had better get going. I have more animals to check on. (She closed the door. Turned back into a mouse and sneaked out to the main part of the Zoo. She is a human again. Her phone rang.) Hello.
-Elizabeth- Hi Julie.
-Julie- Look Liz if this is another lecture about how I should not be dating Zim. Then I am just going to hang up right now.
-Elizabeth- No you will not and do not take that tone with me young lady.
-Julie- I am older than you.
-Elizabeth- Which means you should know better. But since you don't, I have come up with more reasons why you should stop settling and realize that you are too good for him. (She took out a list.) Number one… loud number 2 the muder of two tallest
-Julie- (She began to make noises like the phone was going out of servious.) I am sorry Elizabeth, I have a bad connection. I must be going through a tunnel.
-Elizabeth- Oh no don't you dare hang up on me Julie. I am your Wisest and you will listen to me. You will not… (Julie hung up.) Why that little. Ahh she thinks she can just hang up on me. No, I will not Tolerate this. I am calling her back and this time she will listen to me. (She called Julie back.)
-Julie- And we are ignoring this call…
-Zim- Hey Julie.
-Julie- Ahh! (She touched the wrong button and accepted the call. Then she dropped the phone and took out a sword aimed right at Zim.)
-Zim- (He flinched.) eep!
-Julie- Oh Zim I am so sorry. (She put her sword away.) You should never sneak up on a soldier.
-Zim- I will remember that next time.
-Julie- So what are you doing here?
-Zim- I came here with them. (He pointed to the others.)
-Julie- Oh hey you guys. I am still a little confused. I thought you were on a date Amethyst and Shadow.
-Amethyst- We were but we wanted to help you two have a wonderful day at the Zoo.
-Zim- If that is ok with you.
-Julie- You know what, I would love to share the Zoo with my favorite people.
-Rachel- Yes let's go to the lions first. (They left.)
-Elizabeth- (On the phone she heard the whole thing.) No Julie, don't go. Ahh, that's it. I have tried reasoning with her but reasoning does not get through her head. So it is time to take more drastic measures. Rig Hailey, get in here!
-Hailey- Yes, my Wisest, you called? (They both ran in.)
-Elizabeth- I need you two to go to Earth and ruin Julie Tattoo's date with… him.
-Hailey- Who is him?
-Elizabeth- Zim, the Irken with a double tallest homicide on his hands. (She brings up the spreadsheet.)
-Rig- Didn't he also cause painful horrible overload day part 1 and 2.
-Elizabeth- Yes. He seems to work in twos, which doesn't bode well for his Second Relationship.
-Rig- Oh… Oh no.
-Hailey- I don't think that anything bad is gonna happen to sergeant Julie. So why would we need to stop the date?
-Elizabeth- Because even ignoring superstition, Zim is the most selfish, immature and deadly Irken that has ever lived. And if my sister won't see reason on her own. Then you two have to show her before she makes the biggest mistake of her life.
-Rig- But doesn't this sound kind of petty?
-Hailey- Yeah, shouldn't it be Julie's choice?
-Elizabeth- Not when the choice is that horrible. Here is a pak tracker, NOW GO!
-Hailey- Yes my Wisest. (She ran out.)
-Rig- Just so we are clear, you do realize that this all sounds very stupid, right?
-Elizabeth- Do you want me to dismember you Rig?
-Hailey- No, he doesn't come on Rig. (They ran out the door.)
