"Just a before warning this AU is primarily my interpretation of the Under-tale characters so some things are not going to be exactly like the game or what the fandom sees them as, so just letting you know, and there might be shipping of a cannon character with an OC so if you don't like that this AU might not be for you. There will also be perspective changes at certain points. With that out of the way let the Prologue begin. Oh and also If anyone wants to make this into a picture comic strip go ahead just don't forget to credit this story and also YouTube comic dubs.
Prologue
It was a hard time. But then again, Rex had always had a hard time in "The Underground" but it had lately been harder on the surface. Especially since he was only fourteen, and his entire family had been murdered by monsters who were mad because they had in the past family line married humans, even though once in the family line a member of the royal family had left to live a normal life and married one member of the family but that was long before his time. But he had escaped and avenged his family, those monsters were criminals to begin with. He lived in a hole in the ground and some friends brought him food when he needed it. He briefly was friends with the prince of the monsters, before he turned into a flower, but nobody but he knew that. He was probably the only one to know about the recent "hyper death" battle between the new human and the soulless prince. He knew that with his 300 IQ he could probably save the prince. How did he know that the battle happened well, being part human, his soul was not absorbed and he was able to, using advanced tech, watch the battle. After the battle he knew that saving the prince could be done. He had befriended the six human souls and they brought a seventh one who was a friend of the seven souls. All seven traits. Patience, Bravery, Integrity, Perseverance, Kindness, Justice, and DETERMINATION. He knew that soon it would be done. "Don't worry," He thought. "Soon I will save you". He walked off into the darkness, he could see after all he was a fox and they could see in the dark. At least no one was there to make fun of his two tails.
