The clouds were very dark and gloomy over the island of Ethereal, The air surrounding the island was fuzzy due to the sounds out gunshots. Little footsteps were heard as a young girl was running away from the sound. Loud footsteps followed behind her and one finally caught up to her grabbing her pink short sleeve shirt. The little girl's bright blue eyes were in shock as she screamed and started kicking at the stronger man. The man held her up laughing "looks like we caught the brat now bring that cursed item over here and force this little bitch to eat it but drop her in the ocean once she eats it" the girl tried kicking him away just for the bigger man to throw her on the ground. One of the man's lackeys grabbed her and crushed the item in his hand "you sure about this cap? It's a devil fruit wouldn't you want to have it?" The captain's pink eyes looked at his lackey who said that with a glare "hell no that fruit is cursed you'll see what I mean, now get that brat to eat it and toss her into the ocean to get rid of it" when the little girl heard this she started screaming for her parents, the lackey took that opportunity to force her to eat it. The little girl choked on it her color fading from her eyes and skin. The man holding her suddenly lost his color and screamed as his body was turned to ash. The other men were in shock watching the ash that once was their friend fall on the dirt. The captain cursed "see that's why…fool you should've dropped her when I said to…" in that moment marines showed up to fight the pirates that took the girl. In the chaos that was going on the girl ran back home crying her bare feet changing the ground to a dark color. She finally runs up to the old red barn looking house seeing the door open her fears getting to her as she ran in. "Mom dad?!" She screamed at the top of her lungs. Her pink haired mother heard her "Kage?! Is that you my baby?!" She saw her and ran to her hugging her tightly. "I've miss-" Just as Kage was hugging her her mother was drained of all of her color and was turned to ash. Kage had wide eyes and dropped to her knees she screamed grabbing the ash as tears rubbing down her pale cheeks. "M mommy no!!" Hearing the commotion her father ran down the stairs "Manako?? Kage?" He saw the pile of ash on the golden carpet and Kage sitting there crying. "Kage what happened?" Kage turned her back to see her father standing behind her. "D dad I I k kil" the father got on his knees "Kage talk to me" he placed a hand on her pale arm. Kage saw her father turn to ash in front of her eyes. The realization dawning on her that it was her fault. She screamed as loud as her little lungs could handle. She sat there sobbing seeing the two piles of ash that were her parents on the cold brown hardwood floor. As she finally calms down she gets up as anger started to overwhelm her. "It's their fault…. It's their fault! T those pirates!" Kage gets up from the floor and looked at both of the piles of ash that once were her parents. "They...they deserve to pay for what they did..." Kage turned her back on the piles pf ash and walked out the door wanting revenge. She heard the sound of fighting by the beach where the mariens boats were and the pirates boat. Kage ran down the hill as lightning cracked the sky and rain started to fall. She finally makes it down to the beach covered in rain, panting harshly as her lungs filled back up with the cold air. She sees the pirates her anger over bearing as she ran down to the last grassy hill seeing a black bow on the ground that belonged to one of the marines seeing their bloodied body. Kage picked up the bow and didn't even notice that it wasn't turning to ash as she saw the captain fighting the marine captain. She saw them struggling to beat the pirates so she pulling back the bow and noticed a grey energy arrow appeared "what..?" She shook her head of the thought and shot him. The captain felt it piece his arm "what the…?" As he said that the color drained from his body and he fell turning to ash. Kage was watching the pirates without a captain back off now. The marine captain looked around the area and saw who was holding the bow and he walked over to Kage. "Did you fire that arrow little miss?" He tried to touch her but she yelled at him not to. The captain looked to his boys and back to the girl "well in any case I should thank you for helping us uh" he looked at her in her now dark colored eyes. Kage looked up at him "i it's Kage… you fight pirates?" The captain confused by her question answered "well yes we do Kage why would you ask that shouldn't you go home?" The man smiled down at her. Kage looked up at him with dead eyes " those pirates… forced me to eat this thing I ran h home and a w when my parents hugged me t they lost all their color a and died. They made me kill them." Kage broke down crying falling on her knees as the captain looked at her with sorrow filled eyes. "I'm so sorry to hear that Kage… I have a idea why don't you come with me and join the marines?" He smiled down at her softly. Kage wiped her tears and looking up at him. "Really?"
Kage wakes up in a cold sweat as salty tears run down her cheeks the nightmare still haunting her as she gets out of her grey sheeted bed. Her grey socks hit the cold brown floor of the ship she's in. She puts her dark grey gloves on and walked to her wardrobe. Kage grabs out her dark grey suit and puts it on and it covers mostly her whole body. She pulls on her white and gold admiral coat and walks out the door onto the deck of her ship. The minute she walked out a short brown haired girl came running up and hugging her tightly. The girl in question had a marine outfit on and had a wolf tail and wolf ears. "Mom you're awake! Yay now we can go do stuff!" Kage's eyes locked on her as she pet her head "Tifa I see you're as energetic as ever, now can you let go?" Tifa pouted like a child "but mom you know I love my hugs!" Her long brown fluffy tail was wagging side to side. Kage gave in with a sigh and hugged her. One of the newer marines was confused watching that "is the admiral always like that?" A different older marine nodded "yup she's different from the other three she likes to adopt children that lost their parents. But Tifa is the only one the other two Cole and Lily just see her as a friend." The newer marine nodded "I'm glad I landed on her ship then she seems nice" the older one smiles "felt that she is very nice but just don't puss her off newbie or you're in for it" the newbie had wide eyes and stopped slacking off and went to go clean. Kaige looked up seeing the sky hearing rumbling in the air seeing the sky darken "Tifa go get Cole and lily" she looked back down at her. Tifa nodded and ran off to go find them. As Tifa did the they sky seemed to darken further as Kage bit her own lip 'dammit I knew it , seems like a storm..' after a few more minutes Tifa comes back with w and Lilly. Cole's dark blue eyes looked up seeing the sky "oh shit that's why you called us" he gets the men to get the ship turned around but the ship is getting sucked up in a cyclone. Kage had wide eyes in shock with her mouth agape seeing the cyclone "what the hell did our navigator put us in the wrong path?!" The dark blue and grey navy ship was getting pulled in. The crew was trying to secure the ropes to the sails finding it hard. Kage watched as the ship was getting closer and closer. She was weighing her options seeing the ship wasn't going to pull out of the ocean water dark grey cyclone. She looks to her crew making her decision to save her crew. "Cole you are in charge and if I don't make it out then… tell HQ that I died by pirates not to the sea." Cole nodded but tifa was confused "what's going on?" Kage jumped off of the ship and into the cyclone not using her df she shot the boat with a regular arrow with enough power and force behind it to knock the ship out of the path of the cyclone. Tifa saw her mom get lost in the cyclone she screams "mom!!" Cole had to hold onto her tightly "Tifa calm down she's not dead alright we will find her for now we need to get away from the cyclone." Tifa was crying in Cole's arms screaming at the top of her little lungs. Lily could only watch in sorrow seeing tifa breaking down. Cole commanded the crew to get as far away from the storm as possible. Kage was lost to the storm.
This is my first story i have ever written i have no idea on how to word things sometimes;-; I tried my best!
