Important: So I wanted to rewrite this story, cause I want to stay true to my characters and my stories, this story will be like my, "Bad Boys Aren't Heartless", but different. I hope you all will enjoy this new version of my story. :) Xx Much love and God Bless
It was a beautiful sunny day in California at Rydell high school, it was of course middle of April, which means graduation is super close for the Seniors of Rydell high. The bad boys of Rydell high, were hanging out on the bleachers of the football field. They are, of course, the handsome T-Birds. There are 5 boys, Danny Zuko, who is the leader, Kenickie Murdoch, the second command, Sonny LaTierri, the sidekick, and the two youngest but innocent of the T-Birds, Doody Del Fuego and Putzie Jacobs. But they are not just a gang, Danny wanted it to be like a brotherhood, especially since they grew up together like brothers. Their fathers were best friends since childhood, same goes for their mothers as well. The T-Birds and their families are very, very close to one another. Anyway, a few feet away from them, was a shy, sweet but petite girl with dark chocolate hair and pale skin. However, she was crying her eyes out because her bully, Dana Devi-Liar and her Brats were harassing her again. With the boys, they were making fun of the football team. "Next time do it right and then you'll get a date!" Sonny called out.
The rest of the T-Birds roared into laughter.
"You said it man." Kenickie grinned.
Danny shook his head, chuckling and then he looked over to see the girl, who was still crying. He felt sad for the girl for whatever she could possibly be crying about.
"Hey guys." He spoke.
The Younger boys turned to Danny.
"Look." Danny said as they looked at the girl.
"Is she ok?" The youngest T-Bird Putzie asked.
Danny smiled at the humbleness of his best friend.
"Let's go make sure she's alright." Danny said as they stood up.
They walked over to the girl.
"Hey um you ok darlin." Danny asked her.
The boys noticed how scared she looked when she saw them.
"Hey, you don't have to be scared of us." Kenickie assured her. "We ain't gonna hurt ya."
Putzie sits next to her.
"Um…can we…can we ask you something, why are you sitting here crying?" He asked her.
"Because she's a loser, guys!" They looked over to see Dana and her "Brats" by the railing.
The boys felt hatred toward Dana and her Brats, the girl looked back down, feeling awful and felt hot tears streaming down her cheeks. She was worried that they'll turn against her, but to her big surprise is that they, the T-Birds of all people, are defending her.
"Hey, how about you girls go screw around with other low-life creeps!" Danny yelled at her.
"Yeah!" Sonny protested.
"Whatever, later loser hall!" Dana yelled as she and her "Brats" walked off laughing and gossiping.
The girl lets out a sad sigh.
"Don't listen to them." Doody tells the girl.
"Hey, what's your name?" Danny asked her gently.
She looks at Danny with innocence in her eyes.
"I-I'm-m Abigail Hall, but people just mostly call me Abby for short." The girl answers quietly.
The boys awed at how soft-spoken she was.
"Abby." Danny said. "I like that name."
Abby smiled a little.
"Thanks." She says.
"You're welcome." Danny smiled. "I'm Danny Zuko and these are my best friends Kenickie Murdoch, Sonny LaTierri, Doody Del Fuego and Putzie Jacobs." He greeted.
"It is a pleasure to meet you." Kenickie said, kissing the top of her hand.
"I-it n-nice to meet you boys as well." She answers.
They smiled warmly at her, but then it hit her. She was talking to The T-Birds, the bad boys of Rydell high school. She had to ask, but was afraid to hear the response.
"A-are you guys the T-Birds?" She asks them.
She felt a pit in her stomach.
"Yes we are." Doody answered with a smile.
"Oh." All she said. "Don't mean to sound rude, but why are you guys talking to me? Are you guys like bad boys and cool?"
The boys felt bad for the girl.
"Abby, yes we are the T-Birds." Danny replied.
"And cool." Sonny added.
Kenickie quietly chuckled at him.
"But...to be honest, we really don't care what kind of girls we talk to...for instinct, my girl Sandy Olsson...the love of my life, she is sweet and innocent." Danny added. "But I love her so dearly that I'd do anything for her."
"Really?" She asked.
He gave her a reassuring smile.
"Yes." He answered.
"So...you guys like nice girls too?" She asked, confused.
"I think girls like you are adorable." Putzie said, holding her hand.
Abby looked into Putzie's eyes, feeling safe. But she never met them until now.
"Really?" Abby asks him.
He nods his head.
"Thanks." She smiled.
"Anytime." Putzie replied.
"And those girls are nothing but-" Kenickie started, but stopped when he saw Danny giving him the look to watch his language around Abby. "Brats"." He finished.
Sonny silently chuckled.
"Besides, like what Putzie said," Doody started, "We always thought that shy girls like you are really adorable." He adds.
"Even though you're bad boys?" She asks.
They chuckled at her.
"Yes, even though we're bad boys." Danny repeated.
She smiled again.
"So is this your first year in Rydell High?" Sonny asked her.
She shook her head.
"No." She replied. "I was just always quiet and hid in the corner."
The guys looked at each other feeling awful for her.
"Really?" Putzie asked sadly.
She nodded her head.
"Yep." She replied.
"We're so sorry." Danny said to her.
Abby looks up at him, confused.
"Why are you sorry?" She asked, confused.
"Because we could've helped ya." He told her.
She looks down.
"Why didn't you go get help or make a friend?" Kenickie asked. "We'd love to be your friends."
She looks up at him with a tiny smile.
"Really?" She asked.
"Of course!" Sonny smiled.
"I just thought that nobody wanted to be seen with me or nothing to do with me." She told them.
"Well we want to be seen with you." Danny told her. "And those idiots can go sit on it if they say a word about it."
She smiled.
"And that's the truth." He adds.
"Really?" She asked again.
Danny gave her a knowing look that he is very serious.
"But are you guys afraid that I'll ruin your image?" She asked them, again.
"Not at all." Danny smiled at her.
"Really?" She asked, again. "So you don't mind girls like me and um...your girlfriend Sandy?"
Danny shook his head.
"Besides the guys and I all have sisters." Danny started. "And we want them to know that they are amazing and to be their own person." He adds. "I also have two little nieces as well."
"Oh." She said.
They awed at her innocence.
"My baby sisters' names are Pammy and Roxy, they're both super adorable." Putzie told her.
"Awww." Abby smiled. "They sound adorable too."
"Thanks." Putzie said.
"You are welcome." Abby responded.
Danny knew that his youngest best friend was smitten with the lovely girl.
"What grade are you in?" Doody asked her.
"I'm a Senior." She replied.
"Cool, so are we." Sonny grinned. "We'll graduate together."
She smiled.
"Yeah." She said. "May I ask you boys a question?"
"Go right ahead darlin." Kenickie said, kneeling in front of her.
"But why me?" She asked.
They looked at her confused.
"What do you mean?" Danny asked her.
"I mean, I'm a loner and...don't really have friends at all." She said.
Danny looked up at his best friends feeling bad for the girl, they wanted to be this lovely girl's friends, her protective knights. They didn't care if they were The T-Birds, they wanted to protect this girl.
"You have five." Putzie smiled, holding her hand, again.
"Really? You guys wanna be...my friends?" She asked.
"Absolutely." Danny replied.
"Wow, I...I don't know what to say." She said.
"And remember we really do like you." Kenickie smiled at her.
"Totally." Doody agreed.
"Like Zuko said, we don't care if we're seen by you." Sonny said. "We think you're pretty adorable."
She looks down again, they've noticed she was tearing up again.
"Whoa, hey what's wrong?" Danny asked her gently, putting his hand on her back, comforting her.
But what they didn't notice was how Abby quietly flinched at the touch on her back.
"Nothing, I just...never had anyone come to my rescue and wanted to be my friend before." Abby said as tears fell. "I'm sorry."
Kenickie smiled at her warmly.
"You got nothing to be sorry for at all." Putzie said as he wiped the tears away with his thumb.
Putzie and Abby both smiled at each other.
"I think you're pretty adorable." Putzie added.
Abby blushed a little.
"Thanks." She said.
"Anytime." Putzie replies.
The older T-Birds looked at each other, smiling a little cause Putzie got the case of the lovebug.
"Do you boys mind if I went to the ladies' room to freshen up?" She asked. "Epically from all the crying?"
"Of course not." Sonny responded, helping Abby stand up.
"Thank you." Abby says.
"Want us to walk you, so Dana won't bully you?" Danny asked.
"If you want." Abby said.
"Ok, lead the way." Danny said as they walked down the bleachers.
Danny turned to Kenickie.
"Murdoch, I don't want Rizzo near her." Danny said firmly.
Kenickie knew he was right.
"I don't care if you love her…" Danny started.
"It's fine Zuk, I'll get Rizzo to be nice to her." Kenickie tells him.
Danny rolls his eyes.
"I promise." Kenickie adds.
The younger T-Birds and Abby looked at them.
"Alright." Danny spoke.
They walked out of the football field.
"Hey, are they gonna, you know what, to that wimp?" One of the guys asked.
The guy and his friends laughed, while Danny pushed him against the fence.
"You touch a hair on her, yous freaks will be picking up your teeth!" Danny threatens.
"Yeah!" Kenickie and Sonny protested.
Abby hides behind Putzie, timidly while Doody holds her hands.
"Ok, ok I'm sorry! Jeez!" The guy spoke. "We won't touch her."
"Good! Now get outta here before I let my boy Kenickie rearrange ya face!" Danny adds.
The guy and his friends all ran off, clearly afraid.
"You ok Abby?" Putzie asked her.
Abby smiled a little and nodded.
"Yeah." She answers.
"Abby, those nerds…they're low-life sumbags." Danny tells her. "I promise you that we're not gonna let them hurt you."
Abby smiled at him and hugged him, surprising the boys. Danny smiled warmly and hugged her back.
"Thank you." Abby spoke.
Danny lets out a chuckle
"Don't mention it, kid." Danny said.
They walked back to the school, walking Abby safely to the bathroom, while they waited out in the hall.
