"Mom, lights!" Antaeus Nekton yelled through the coms to the Arronax. His mother, Keiko Nekton, flicks on the massive submarines' floodlights to scare the Megalodon in an attempt to rescue William and Fontaine Nekton. The Arronax's lights flick on and illuminate the watery abyss.
The blinding light works for a moment, the massive creature coming to a halt. The Nekton family only cheer for a moment though, as the creature accelarates faster than before."Woah! Were slipping!" the rover's arm starts sliding out of the sharks gill before being grabbed by the Mag Knight. "Not on my watch!" Ant shouts aloud.
"The light was supposed to make it stop! Why did it speed up?!" shouts Fontaine. Meanwhile, aboard the Aronnax:"Some fish are attracted to light, maybe it saw the floods and got excited." Kaiko Theorizes. Back with the fish: Ant's eyes widen as he realizes something. "Then that means it's coming for you!"
The fish accelarates even faster, not even the Mag knight can survive this.
ZAP-CRA-CRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAKKKKKKKKK.
The rover's arm starts breaking off and in less than a second, Ant is holding on to scrapmetal. "No! dad, Fontaine!" Crackle.
Keiko loses the rovers signal.
William and Fontaine Nekton are dead.
"Mom! Move!" Keiko looks up and the face of an angry shark is all she sees before the glass is shattered. Sharko swims off into the distance, never to be seen again. The Aronnax starts floating up at rather slow speed, and by the time it reaches surface, The matriach of the Nektons will die aswell. Ant realizes this and decides that the other Nektons can be mourned later. Carefully, he swims into the wreck and grabs his mother gently. once out of the vessel, he overclocks all propulsion systems and aims for the surface
2 minutes later, he breaks the water.
"Mom, Mom! please wake up! I can't lose you too! Please!" For a few minutes, his mother is deathly quiet and The boy starts losing hope.
Kaiko hacks up some water and wakes up fully. "Mom! You're ok! Thank goodness." "Ant! thank god you're alive." The two hug and laugh, but the mood quickly sinks. pun intended.
"Are-" " They're gone mom." Ant's voice cracks. " Dad and Fontaine are dead."
About 10 minutes later, WOA boats pick the two up. "It was a Megalodon. the fish weren't swimming together, they were eaten." Ant explaines to pyrosome, Kaiko was still being checked by the medics to insure she was healthy. " Thank you, Ant. We'll continue to monitor they're position. make sure other vessels stay safe." Ant looks down to his feet." And the Arronax?"
"Luckily, it was mainle the bridge that was damaged, I'll have some towboats bring it to you base, I'm sure you can handle it from there." Ant nods and slowly walks to the medical bay.
"And for whats it's worth, I'm sorry for your loss." He nods.
"Will the police find the criminal? more at seven. In other news, the World Oceans Authority has recently published new information regarding the Nektons, a celebrity family of oceanic explorers and marine life protectors. The WOA has only given a few details, but from what we know, the nekton family was asked to investigate a strange occurence on behalf of the WOA. During the investigation, William and Fontaine Nekton tragically died. Once a full report is published, we will provide further information, until then, we have only the sincerest of grievences for Kaiko and Antaeus Nekton."
