A/N: Okay, so this is my third Sonic the Hedgehog story. I'm mainly writing this because I'm bored and want to to experiment with something new. Also, while I am a fan of the Sonic franchise as a whole, I more or less have an only competent amount of understanding for the characters and their respective stories since the franchise as a whole is very big, so consider this a loose adaptation or other where the characters are portrayed as who they are, but not completely accurate. Also, like with my other Sonic story You Belong with Me, I'm going to be making the the characters human, but fret not, for their normal iconic looks will not be disregarded either for long. Well, here we go.
3:30 AM, Mobius City Depository, Sept. 5th 2013.
A suitcase was sitting on a pedestal in the middle of a dark room surrounded by glass with lasers preventing anyone from just walking in and getting it. That's why a hole was cut through the ceiling and a woman in black garb was being slowly let down by a male associate. She eventually reached near enough to touch the glass, but knew better. Turning on some hi-tech goggles, she saw that the glass was electronically linked since it was made of conductive fiber instead, and any tampering would set it off.
"Damn. I can't get them without setting off the alarms." She whispered to her partner. "Tell them it's time for plan B."
"Fine then. I'll signal the crew." As he did that, the woman swatted the glass away, setting off the alarms as she swiped the suitcase and was pulled up. Being pulled up back into the ceiling, she was able to put the circle back where it was as soon as the guards unlocked the high security door to see that the artifact was stolen. Jumping out of the airducts of the depository, the man and woman ran to their get away can, jumping into the back with another man and woman inside.
"Drive SD!" The guy that helped the female thief barked at his companion, whom drove off. The van looked like a cleaning company van. Three guards ran out to try and shoot at them, but two of them were instantly killed by a sniper bullet through the head of the far left and heart of the middle. The one on the right cried out as his legs were hit as well. The sniper smirked at his well aimed goal.
"Hat trick." He said with an Australian accent as he started packing up his gun and bail. Overall, the plan went off without a hitch, especially when the ditched the first get away van for a regular looking sedan, and the gang made it to a secret hideout in the darkest underbelly of Mobious City. The leader of the gang, a scrawny looking man with short blonde hair, green eyes hidden behind shades and two scratch marks streaking down his cheek as scars, stooped down along with his underlings as he held open a briefcase filled with seven colorful jewels.
"Here you are Mogol.
"Excellent. It seems your reputation does not lie." A large criminal boss chuckled as he breathed out a breath of smoke. "I'll make sure you are rewarded handsomely, $100,000 dollars as promised.
"Yay! We're rich my lovie dove!" A woman close to the leader cheered as she went to hug him.
"Rosie, get off! I'm carrying precious goods here!" He tried to push her back, but her advances caused the briefcase to fall out of his one arm, and the gems fell out, glowing brightly from the impact each.
"You idiots! My chaos stones!" Mogol yelled as he shoved his hired thugs aside to grab at them, but their energy started to get too excited, and a bright light bathed them all so blindingly, the whole room went white. But it wasn't just there. Oh no. Their energy spread throughout everywhere in the city. The whole city gave out a collective scream as an energy wave spread through the city, bathing everyone with rainbow light in a matter of seconds before dissipating beyond the city limits. The city appeared to be overall unaffected, save for a black out in the entire city for about a minute or two before returning.
A/N: Well, there's the catalyst for the plot. So, I'm going to need a lot of help since I don't really have the whole thing planned out. Going to ride by the seat of my pants on this one along with helpful suggestions from you, my readers. I'll need the help, and you may find it fun. Let me know what you think of this story, criticize as you see fit, but don't be overly mean-spirited about it. I've been going through a tough time and I don't need negativity getting to me more here. It's stressful and harrasment isn't fun.
