"Tikki can you help me run through my check list to make sure I packed everything"? Marinette asks as she rushes around her room packing as much as she can into her bags.
Tikki, who's watching the Chaos from a safe distance, giggled, before flying over to the desk where the aforementioned list is. "Sure thing Marinette, first thing on the list is your sewing Machine?
Check.
Fabric?
Check.
Clothes?
Check.
Phone Charger?
Check.
Backup Phone Charger?
Check.
Cookie Jar for me?
Check.
Miracle box?
Check.
Lap Top?
Safe & in it's Carrying case.
"All that's left on the list is 'photo's of family & friends'". Tikki says looking from the list at Marinette who has an assortment of photos in front of her.
"Check, Kinda". She says with a sigh, as Tikki flies over to see what the problem is. When she reaches Marinette & takes a look down at the photos down in front of her, that all seem to share a common theme. None of them were of her family, but all of them were of her & her friends from before Lila came & changed things.
"What seems to be the problem, Marinette wouldn't you want to be reminded of the happy times With your friends"? Tikki asks, confused.
"I guess, but they're more bitter sweet memories now that Lila has them all under her control". Marinette mumbles thinking back to everything that has happened in the month since the Miracle Queen incident. One of the first major changes was after the Miracle Queen fight, Chloe's Dad pulled her out of school wanting to protect his daughter from being Akumatized again and sent her off to a new school who knows where. With her most powerful Competition out of the way, Lila stepped up her game making promises she never intended to keep, and somehow found a way to shift the blame for things not happening to Marinette in order to make her classmates lose faith in her. Everyone lost their faith in Marinette one at a time, until they demanded she be removed as class president and have Lila take over the position for her.
After that, Lila started spreading rumors about Marinette. How she would steal other peoples work and pass it off as her own, how her clumsiness was just an act to make people feel sorry for her. Even more recently, by the time Lila knew she would be able to convince people that she was basically the reincarnation of an angel, she started suggesting that Marinette did some more unsavory things at night to be able to pay for things.
The class, having begun to see Marinette in a new light, started telling Ms Bustier all the "Bully" Like things Marinette's done to Lila over time, resulting in Marinette getting into more and more trouble at school. While the class was never physically abusive, it didn't stop them from trolling her website, making her have to shut it down before her reputation was ruined. She wasn't going to try and reupload it until she has some safety measure in place for trollers.
Even worse, Adrien, the one remaining person who could also see through Lila's lies, wasn't able to do anything about it with his father's unreasonable rules and demands.
Tikki takes a moment to think about it, since she hates seeing her Chosen sad like this. "Well it's not like you're going to be gone forever Marinette, you can always come back one weekend & pick up any photos you miss, or your parents can send any photos to you in the mail".
"Yeah, I guess". She sighs dejectedly it's not like she wants to transfer schools, but she doesn't really have a choice.
"Marinette, you know you don't have to move to a boarding school outside of Paris just to avoid Lila. You could always just do online school, or go to a new school within Paris". Tikki suggests
"That's the thing Tikki, I do need to move outside the city. Now that Hawkmoth knows that Ladybug is the Guardian of the miraculous he's been sending Akuma after Akuma after me to get his hands on the other Miraculouses, plus with Lila's influence getting stronger in the school it's only a matter of time before I get akumatized! It's safer for me to be outside Hawkmoth's reach". Marinette says as she gets up to walk over to her wall and pull down what used to be Adriens schedule. Now though, it was a map of Paris covered in purple butterfly stickers, with a red circle of influence drawn around each one.
For the past few weeks since deciding to transfer schools I've been keeping track of all the places Akumas have ever appeared in the past. Thanks to the Startrain incident we've learned there's a range to how far Hawkmoth can send & control his Akuma's that why I looked for a boarding school outside of his control range so he can't akumatized me or find the miraculouses, & not to far that I won't be to far from the Akuma attacks when they happen. Plus if worst comes to worst I can always use the Horse miraculous to get to the battle quicker. Not to mention I'll be able to come back home during the weekend to get more cookies for Tikki. Marinette thinks to reassure herself that this is a good idea
"That sounds good & all Marinette but will you look for new Miraculous holders to help you in the battle against Hawkmoth while you're at this new school"? Tikki asks curiously. Marinette pauses for a Moment to think this over, before shaking her head.
"No it's too risky, what if I make a wrong choice picking a person I barely know with the miraculous it could be another Chloe scenario again, we don't want a repeat of Miracle Queen after all".
"If you're sure this is what you want, Marinette, then I'll be with you every step of the way". Tikki says as Marinette finishes zipping up her bags
"What I want maybe not be, but it's what I need". Marinette says standing up looking around at her empty room, before looking down at her phone at has her new schools website pulled up on it.
"Kadic Academy here I come".
A.N Timeline wise, This story takes place after season 3 of miraculous completely ignoring the existence of season 4(Which I haven't watched a single episode of) None of the specials or movie have happened yet.
On the Code Lyoko side of things the Code Lyoko Evolution season never happened & the events of MIraculous started around a month after the Lyoko Warriors defeated X.A.N.A.
