Hey y'all! Welcome to "Can You See All of Me?"! This is a new story that's going to be my first crossover in quite some time (the others I've made I ended up deleting because of one reason or another, with the only one still up being "Christmas Miracle" and even that was almost 4 years ago). I've recently watched Encanto and I absolutely love the movie! It's become my all time favorite movie already and I love that the characters are so relatable! I decided to write a crossover of it and one of my favorite games, so I hope y'all enjoy! Also, about the genres: While there will be a bit of violence in later chapters and mentions of anxiety and mental conditions here and there, most of the story is meant to contain humor. I wish we could put more than two genres, but sadly we can't.
Disclaimer: Encanto and its characters belong to Disney. FNAF Security Breach and it's characters belong to Scott Cawthon and Steel Wool Studios. Plot belong to me.
Warnings: swearing, slow burn gay relationships, some violence in later chapters, mentions of anxiety and mental conditions. Secondary genres are hurt/comfort and romance.
"Tío Bruno!" yelled a voice, belonging to the second youngest of the Madrígal children. Receiving no answer she huffed and ran into the kitchen, calling for her uncle again. "Mirabel, is everything alright?" asked Julietta, turning to face her youngest daughter. "Mama, have you seen Tío Bruno?" asked Mirabel, looking around the kitchen. Dolores cocked her head slightly to the side, speaking from her position at the dining table with Mariano. "He's at the market…. Mamí convinced him to go with her and Camilo to buy more ingredients for Tía Julietta's arepas and meals.…. He's currently complaining about having to be out of his room…." she said, giggling a bit. Mirabel rolled her own eyes, a small smile on her face.
"I get he's nervous about being out and about once again, but he can't hide in his room forever…" she said, just happy her uncle was simply out and about and not hurt somewhere. It had been a couple of months since the rebuilding of Casita and the return of the magic, as well as Bruno rejoining the family. Despite this, some townspeople still looked down on him, so his nervousness about going out was understandable. It didn't help that, due to the mountains not reforming, the Encanto was left open for outside visitors. This information only made youngest of the triplets even more nervous, afraid of outsiders finding out the rumors that had spread about him.
"While I agree hija, it's nice that he knows he has a safe place to escape to when he gets overwhelmed...…" stated Julietta, stirring the soup she was making. Mirabel nodded and walked over to help her mother with dinner. "Mama….. do you….. do you think the townspeople will ever fully accept Tío Bruno?" she asked, rolling the dough for some arepas. Julietta looked at her daughter, then turned back to the soup. "I'm sure one day they will..… Some are just..….. being very stubborn about their stances about him…." she said, a small frown on her face. She loved her brother with all her heart, which made her all the more upset and angry at what some of the townspeople continued to say about him.
They looked up at the sound of the front door opening, Pepa and Camilo soon entering with some bags of fruits and ingredients. Bruno was right behind them carrying his own bag, setting it on the counter before stretching. "Hola! How was the trip to the market?" asked Mirabel, smiling. "About the same as always...…" said Camilo, shrugging. Pepa rolled her eyes as she began unpacking the bags. "Señor Ramírez had some fresh papayuelo* at his stand today….." she said, pulling one of the small yellow fruits from the bag she had and tossing to Mirabel. "Oh? Haven't had some of those in season for some time…. Must've finally gotten the ones Isabela gave him to grow…" said Mariano, chuckling.
Mirabel handed the fruit to her mother, then turned her attention to her uncle. "Did you have fun Tío?" she asked, adjusting her glasses. Bruno snapped his attention to her as if in surprise, then rubbed the back of his neck nervously. "O-Oh, um, y-y-yeah, it was good…." he said, stammering a bit. Mirabel frowned. "Tío..…. did anyone… say anything to you?" she asked, sighing when her uncle suddenly knocked on the table. "knock knock knock knock knock, knock on wood..…." he said, knocking his head at the end. "Hermanito, just ignore those who say bad things...… they'll come around..…" said Julietta, giving him a sad smile.
"Right, I, uh..…. Bye." Bruno said, quickly exiting the kitchen and heading upstairs to his room, passing Alma and Isabela on the way. "Brunito?" asked Alma, sighing when she didn't receive an answer and heard her son's door slam. "Is Tío Bruno ok, Abuela?" asked Isabela, frowning as she turned to her grandmother. Alma sighed and shook her head. "He is still anxious… let us let him be for now...…" she said, gesturing her eldest granddaughter to follow her as they continued downstairs. Isabela cast one last worried glance towards where her uncle went, then slowly followed Alma.
Bruno, meanwhile, took a deep breath as he tried to calm down. He walked across the zen garden Casita had created for his new room after being rebuilt, climbing the small steps onto the wooden platform before sitting on his bed, which was just a pile of comfortable plush cushions and some blankets. He grabbed one of the smaller cushions and hugged it to his chest, taking another deep breath to calm down as the stress he felt slowly began to dissipate. All those years of being treated as an outcast had caused the poor man to develop agoraphobia, and even after many of the townsfolk had welcomed him back with open arms he still couldn't shake the terrible anxiety that always crept up whenever he had to leave Casita. Having members of his family with him whenever he had to go out helped a little bit, but even they knew he couldn't shake it completely and it was clear they worried about him.
"I don't think I can do this anymore…." he said to himself, glancing up as some of the sand in the zen garden shifted by itself. "I know Casita, I know! It's just hard, y'know?" he said, setting the pillow in his lap as the sand shifted again. "Yeah, maybe…. But what if Julietta is wrong? What if the townspeople who are still talking bad about me don't change? What if it gets worse?" asked Bruno, sighing as the sand shifted once more. "Maybe your right…. But I don't know what else I can do…." said the hazel-eyed male, setting the pillow to the side. He was about to get up when his eyes suddenly started glowing a bright emerald green and he sat back down, holding his head. "Nononono! Not again!" he cried, the sand of the zen garden beginning to spin and rise around him, forming a sand tornado as he began to have one of his involuntary visions.
Looking into the spinning sand he began to see many shifting and changing glowing green images. He could see Casita, a brewing storm, himself having a panic attack, and…. What is that? He looked in shock as one of the images that formed was of a stranger. The strange being wasn't something he had ever seen, as it looked like a humanoid bear who appeared to made of some sort of material that definitely wasn't organic. The stranger was sitting on the ground, hugging a sobbing and distressed Bruno. Bruno didn't understand what he was seeing, gasping as the vision was beginning to take it's toll on him, once again changing to show a kid with the strange being, then showing the broken mountains of the Encanto, meaning the stranger and kid were outsiders.
"TÍO!" yelled a voice just as the sand burst and fell to the ground, leaving a glowing emerald tablet in the 50-year-old's hands as a pair of strong arms wrapped around him tightly, accompanied by a pair of smaller arms. He gasped and panted, hugging the tablet tightly as he squeezed his eyes shut. "Tío, are you alright?!" asked Luisa, pulling back to look over her uncle and make sure he wasn't hurt. "Was it another involuntary vision?" asked Mirabel, her and her older sister having come up to check on their uncle and bring him down for dinner. Bruno swallowed hard and nodded, keeping his eyes squeezed shut for a couple more minutes before hesitantly opening them. He shakily looked at his nieces, who were giving him genuinely concerned looked. "I-I'm fine niñas….. I-I'll be ok….." he reassured them, trying to calm himself down as he shakily looked down at the tablet in his hands. It showed the image of the strange being hugging him, the Bruno in the vision clearly distressed. "What is that, and what does it mean?" asked Luisa, looking at the vision. "… I don't know Luisa… I-I don't know…" said Bruno, feeling for the first time he truly didn't understand the meaning behind one of his visions.
Yay! Bit of a short chapter, but I feel it's the best way to start out the story! This is just a little story idea that popped into my head and I felt like writing it down. Let me know what you think and feel free to request ideas for the story!
