So I've decided to make a crossover of my two favorite LEGO franchises: Legends of Chima and Ninjago. To be fair, they should make a TV special about the characters from both shows meeting each other at some point. Hope you enjoy it!
It was a quiet day in Ninjago and everyone was enjoying the nice weather. In the Monastery, the ninja were taking a break from fighting crime. They had been training and battling the forces of evil for the past few days, so they've felt like they earned a break for once. Nya and Aya were in the supply room stocking up on weapons for emergency use.
"Thanks for helping me clean up the supply room, Aya." Nya said. "Hey, helping people is what I do best." Aya said.
Meanwhile, the ninja were in the living room playing video games. Kai and Cole were on level 6 of the game, while Jay and Zane watched them. Lloyd was outside staring at the horizon beyond the Monastery walls. He had been thinking about his father Garmadon lately. Ever since he changed back into his evil self, he hasn't been seen in over a couple of days. He wondered what his father was doing and if he was ever going to return. Wu was meditating in the garden peacefully. He was clearing his mind so he can be fully prepared for any disaster that may emerge in the Ninjago.
He had also been thinking about his brother as well. Wu often pondered about him ever since the Second Serpentine War, where Garmadon sacrificed his goodness to become Lord Garmadon again. After the war, the once-again dark lord disappeared and has not been seen since. Wu feared that Garmadon could be up to something, but he knew that he and his ninja would be prepared. Also, despite his past actions, he still loved his brother very much. He hoped that one day, they'll find a way to free Garmadon from the darkness inside him once more.
For now, Wu focused his attention towards his students. They had been very busy fighting crime in Ninjago City for days. So he figured they earned their reward for all their hard work. They've truly earned it after saving Ninjago from the forces of evil more than once. Everyone in Ninjago City has come to appreciate the ninja for everything they've done. Even Wu himself has grown fond of the young teens. They were like the children he never had. The ninja themselves see their sensei as a father figure for them. Suddenly, there was a knock on the door of the Monastery.
"I wonder who that could be... " Wu said as he went to answer the door.
He opened the door to the postman on the other side. The postman searched through his bag and got out an envelope.
"Mail for Sensei Wu." The postman said. "That would be me. Thank you." Wu said as he grabbed the envelope.
He went back inside and opened the letter. It was a message from Cyrus Borg himself. He wants Wu and the ninja to come to Borg Tower immediately. He has something very important that he wants to show them. Wu goes straight into the living room to inform the ninja of Cyrus's request. They were just about to make it to level 9 of their game. Jay and Zane rooted for Kai and Cole as they focused on the level.
"Yes! Level 9 achieved!" Cole shouted. "Awesome!" Jay shouted. "Sweet!" Kai shouted. "Excellent work!" Zane exclaimed. "Ninja. I've just received a letter from our good friend Cyrus Borg." Wu said. "He wants us to go to Borg Tower at once."
The ninja saved their game and went to their rooms to put on their ninja gi. Lloyd, Nya, and Aya came in to see what all the commotion was about.
"Uncle? What's going on?" Lloyd asked. "Cyrus wants us to head to Ninjago City. He has a special surprise for us." Wu said. "What kind of surprise?" Aya asked. "He didn't say, but it sounds really important." Wu said. "Well, what are we waiting for? Let's head out." Lloyd said.
The team was all set and ready to head to Borg Tower. They took the Destiny's Bounty straight into Ninjago City. Once there, they parked right in front of the building. P.I.X.A.L. was outside, ready to greet them and let them enter. Zane and P.I.X.A.L. smiled when they saw each other. They had become very close ever since they first met. P.I.X.A.L guided the ninja, Aya, and Wu to the elevator straight to Cyrus's office. Cyrus was inside working on an unknown project when he heard a buzzing noise from the other side of the door.
"Mr. Borg. The ninja are here to see you." P.I.X.A.L. said. "Send them in." Cyrus said.
P.I.X.A.L. opened the door to allow Wu, Aya, and the ninja inside. Cyrus was pleased to see them after so long. They in turn were also pleased to see their good friend after a while. Cyrus couldn't wait to unveil his new project to the team.
"Greetings, ninja." He said. "Hey, Cyrus! How's everything going?" Jay asked. "Everything's just swell, Jay." Cyrus said. "So what's this all about, anyway?" Cole asked. "Yes. What did you want to show us?" Zane asked. "I'm glad you asked. This way." Cyrus said as he led the team towards a hallway.
The group headed down the hallway and towards another elevator. Cyrus pushed a button and the doors opened. Once everyone was inside, Cyrus pressed the down button and the doors closed. The elevator took the group to the basement, where Cyrus's new project was being kept. Soon, the elevator reaches its destination and opens its doors to allow the group to depart. They walked down a long corridor to the main room where Cyrus kept his most important projects. Once they made it, Cyrus took out a card and showed it to the camcorder. It recognized him and opened its main doors for them. The group went inside and Cyrus turned on the lights so everyone could see.
"So Cyrus, what did you want to show us?" Nya asked.
Cyrus pointed to something that was covered in a huge white sheet. P.I.X.A.L. took off the sheet to unveil a strange machine underneath. Right in the middle of it was the Realm Crystal, the magical artifact that allows anyone who possesses it to travel to other realms. It was created by the First Spinjitzu Master a long time ago and kept hidden to keep it from falling into the wrong hands. Morro, Aya's long-dead twin brother, had used it to free The Preeminent to conquer Ninjago. But the ninja stopped her and sent her back to where she came from. Morro reformed and gave Aya the rest of his elemental power before his spirit was sent to the Departed Realm. Garmadon had given the Realm Crystal to Wu before leaving and has not been seen since. Ever since then, the Realm Crystal was kept locked away for safety.
"Why do you have the Realm Crystal on that thing?" Kai asked. "I've been working on an experiment involving the Realm Crystal." Cyrus said. "What kind of experiment?" Jay asked. "Well, I've been using this machine to amplify the Crystal's power and so only those with good intentions may use it." Cyrus said.
He had good intentions, but Wu and the ninja weren't so sure of that sort of plan. They knew Cyrus means well, but the Realm Crystal was a powerful artifact. They had absolutely no idea what the machine would do to it. Some of Cyrus's inventions don't always work the way it's supposed to.
"I'm not so sure this is a good idea, Mr. Borg." P.I.X.A.L. said. "I agree with P.I.X.A.L., we have only little knowledge of the Realm Crystal's power." Zane said. "I'm afraid Zane is correct: My father kept it hidden for a reason." Wu said. "It mustn't fall into the wrong hands or there'll be dire consequences."
But Cyrus was determined to prove them right by putting his idea into good use for the good of Ninjago.
