Hello everyone, I know it has been long but not so long. I planned on updating (Loving you is all I want) but this story popped in my head. I have conjured it up so I can share it with you and tell me what you think…

I want also thank those that read and supported my story, thank you so much. I have also noticed there are a few stories that have years of medical school for our couple. So I decided to add this that way I can share with you. And this image, I am using, I borrowed it from one of my favorite stories and I hope the owner wouldn't mind.

Disclaimer: I don't own boys over flowers characters.

Ji Hoo carefully zipped up Jan Di's bag. Jan Di's grandfather had insisted on her moving in with them rather than renting a place that was unsuitable for her. The apartment was old and run-down, but it was inexpensive, and she could live there as long as she had a roof over her head. She had bought it with her own money since the start of university a month prior.

It was an awkward scenario, but Ji Hoo was unconcerned. He recognized and accepted who she was.

"I want to do it on my own," she said Gu Jun Pyo when he tried to buy her a luxurious property worth ten million won.

Jan Di took another look around the apartment with Ji Hoo. He closed the door behind him and took Jan Di's small hand in his. "Let's go Jan Di-yah," he softly said.

"OK," she said, her tears threatening to fall, but she knew where she was going and that she wouldn't suffer. Ji Hoo and Grandfather would look after her.

Ji Hoo led her to his mini cooper and slid all of her belongings into the trunk. He'd be driving, which he rarely did, but with her around, he'd gladly do it without hesitation.

He opened the door to the passenger seat for her. "Don't worry, Jan Di-yah," he said, "I can drive just fine with you here."

"I trust you, sunbae," she said as she sat down. She hadn't realized Ji Hoo was holding his hand by the car door's edge, protecting her head from being hit if she was careless again. He remained where she was and watched her fasten her seat belt before closing the door. After a quick glance in her direction, he took the wheel with ease.

She smiled and motioned for him to drive the car.

It wasn't a long ride. The car slowed on the driveway, and he turned the corner until he arrived at the spot where his sports car and bike were parked.

The doors were unlocked, and Ji Hoo and Jan Di got out of the car to unload her belongings. Ji Hoo escorted her into his home. Grandpa was nowhere to be found.

"Where is Harabeoji?" she asked, looking around the house, which had remained unchanged. The house that made her feel at ease, warm, and safe.

"He's at the clinic right now." I'll take you to your room," he said, holding her hand again and making her body quiver. She had no idea why this was happening, but it was. Ji Hoo wasn't a sensitive person, but his behavior indicated that he was acting differently than usual.

Her room had not changed except for the addition of a queen-size bed and new expensive pink covers and curtains. A small closet with drawers and a reading table was available. "Did you do everything for me?"

Ji Hoo gave her a brief glance. He wondered if she was upset about overdoing it, but based on her reaction, she was content.

"Yes, you came the other time and I wasn't prepared. "I hope you enjoy it," he said, looking away, uneasy.

"I like it, and I promise I won't-"

"Don't," he said, putting his finger to her lips. He swallowed and turned away from her. "You should realize by now that I don't need a repayment. It is my choice to take care of you."

Jan Di smiled and thanked him for his kind gesture.

"Gomawo sunbae"

"Would you like to come help me make dinner?"

"If you don't mind, yes." It was the least she could do.

His lips curved into one of his rare smiles.

"No, I don't mind at all," Jan Di said as she exited her room. Ji Hoo walked slowly in order for her to catch up. She wondered if Ji Hoo held a grudge against her for rejecting his love. But if he was bitter, he wouldn't hold her hand, protect her from bullies at college, or provide her with shelter when she needed it.

"What do you want to cook for dinner?" Jan Di asked. looking at the ingredients he was taking from the fridge

"Your call," he replied, smiling.

"Well, I'm not sure. If there's fish, maybe we can eat it," her voice trailed off, muttering what could be eaten with fish.

They chose to prepare fish with fried rice and vegetables with Juice.

Jan Di cleared the table and did the dishes after dinner with Ji Hoo by her side helping her.

She then went to get her reading materials so she could study. She dragged her books into the living room and sat on the couch. Jan Di bid Grandfather good night and thanked him once more for allowing her to stay. She promised to assist at the clinic the following day since it was a weekend. Grandfather brushed her off and entered his bedroom.

In the next room, Jan Di noticed Ji Hoo reading in his chair. She sighed and reached for her notes. Notes on biochemistry Her worst course unit, but she promised to give it her all.

Jan Di spent some time studying. She yawned as she realized she was getting tired. Ji Hoo remained in the next room. She decided to make some tea. Jan Di groggily prepared the tea. She took some into the next room to see if Ji Hoo would like some. She gave him a brief glance. He was absorbed in his book. His reading glasses sat casually on his nose, and a strand of his hair fell loosely over his eyes. She smiled. He raised his gaze to her without saying anything.

"Um, do you want some tea?" She stammered, irritated at being caught staring.

"Sure. Thank you very much."

She brought him the tray and placed it on his side table. He placed his book on his lap. As he reached to help her with the tray, their hands brushed. "Sunbae, I can't thank you enough for letting me stay and always looking after me; I don't know how to repay you," she said, looking down.

"I've already told you I don't mind taking care of you. Aren't we friends?" He squeezed her hand, assuring her of his intentions.

"Well, I guess I should do some more studying," she abruptly stated.

He gave a nod. "May I join you?"

She smiled and nodded, and he accompanied her to the living room. They took their tea and set it on the table. They sat next to each other on the couch.

Jan Di slid her book over her lap. Before speaking, she considered her next words. "How come you went to medical school when music is your passion?"

"It's because of you." I wanted us to realize our aspirations together," he replied, gazing at her in the eyes. He brought his hand up to her face and gently touched her cheek with the back of his hand.
