Chapter 1 - The Day They Met
It was a dark and cold night at Monster High, no one or ghoul was around, except for a hooded figure carrying a basket who had somehow snuck into the school's football field, unnoticed
Then, without a noise, she placed the basket behind one of the goal posts and left in a rush, hoping that whoever finds it, will have a bright future ahead of them
The next morning, the students of Monster High entered the school, along with Draculaura and her friends, Frankie, Clawdeen, Cleo, Lagoona and Ghoulia
"Well, ghouls" Draculaura said with great enthusiasum, "Today is the day we start our new cheerleading practice for the big football game this season!" Clawdeen chuckled and said, "It sure is, Draculaura, I cannot wait till everyone sees our skills!"
But as just as they were about to go to their first class, the Headmistress Bloodgood came in their way, "Ah, Draculaura, Frankie, Clawdeen, Cleo, Lagoona and Ghoulia, just the ghouls I wanted to see" Bloodgood said with a worried smile on her face
"G' day, Mrs. Bloodgood, what's wrong?" Lagoona asked, "Yes, that's what I was thinking too" Cleo said, nodding her head in agreement"Well, you see we have a little problem in the football field" Bloodgood said, "When one of our janitors went to inspect it for the football game, he heard noises of someone crying but he doesn't know where it was coming from"
Draculaura was confused, "Crying?" She asked, "That sounds like a natural thing for everyone, but I never heard it in the football field before"
"Yeah", Clawdeen agreed with Draculaura, "I heard crying outside of the football field but not IN the football field"
"Yes, it is true" Bloodgood agreed, "But anyways, after hearing about this news, I have decided to send someone there to see what was making the sound, so i'm thinking the six of you could help, what do you say?"
Draculaura smiled and nodded, "Don't worry, Mrs. Bloodgood, we'll find out what was making that crying" She said, the rest nodded in agreement
"Good, I knew I could rely on you" Bloodgood said with a smile as she then left the group to continue her business
A few moments after the meeting with Bloodgood, the main ghouls had begun their search for the source of the crying as they searched around the football field
"Can't seem to find anything crying in the bleachers, ghouls!" Cleo called out, searching through the bleacher stand
"And nothing crying in the locker rooms" Clawdeen said, shaking her head in worriment and crossing her arms
"Hey ghouls, I think I found what was crying!" Lagoona called out, standing next to one of the goal post
The ghouls were overjoyed as they rushed to the goal post where Lagoona was, Cleo had to jump over the bleacher stand fence and into the field to get to the goal post and Ghoulia made a sound of enthusiasm
The ghouls, along with Lagoona, then quietly snuck to the goal post, and what they found... was an orange basket with a blue shade-roof
"A basket was making the crying?" Cleo asked with less enthusiasm, "That's just ridiculous", "Wait, ghouls" Draculaura said, holding up her index finger at her friends, "They always say not to judge a book by it's cover, so I think that the crying, might be from IN the basket"
Lagoona agreed, "So that means we need to see who or what is inside the basket, maybe then we'll get the answers" She said
Draculaura soon walked over to the basket and peeked inside it, she gasped at what she saw and began to pick something from the up, the ghouls were confused at what she just picked up and took a closer look, what she saw was something they could not believe their eyes about
"A baby!?" Clawdeen asked in shock, "And not just any baby, but a human baby!?"
"So that's what made all the crying, just when I thought it was the basket" Cleo said, holding her hand to her chin
Draculaura and Lagoona looked at the baby with small smiles on their faces, "Aw, isn't it the most cutest baby ever?" Lagoona asked as she cooed at the baby, making it giggle
"But who would leave a baby in the football field, let alone a human one?" Frankie asked in concern, she never saw a human baby before so it would have been a little too unfocused for her
"Not sure, Frankie" Draculaura said, holding the baby as it giggled at Lagoona's cooness, "But Lagoona's right, it does look cute, and we can't just leave it here"
"You might be right" Frankie said, nodding her head in agreement, "I mean, what if anyone sees him during the big football game this season?", Then, Lagoona noticed something else in the basket, it was a note
"Hey ghouls, I just found this note in the basket" Lagoona said, taking the note from the basket, "Maybe it could help us figure out how this baby got here"
"What does it say then, Lagoona?" Frankie asked, Lagoona looked at the note and said, "Well, it says... To whoever finds this basket. Please take care of my son, he must have a bright future ahead of him and I promise, that one day I will return for him and explain everything to you, and my child, but it's unsigned"
"He's a boy?" Clawdeen asked, she then smiled, "That makes him even more cute"
"We should take care of this baby, just as long as whoever wrote this note will return for him" Draculaura said, cradling the baby in her arms, "Well, I suppose we should look after him" Cleo said, "But, we have to keep him secret, if anyone finds out he's here, it could be disastrous", the rest of the ghouls agreed with Cleo as Draculaura looked down at the baby
"Well, little one, looks like you'll be staying with us for the time being" She said to the baby boy, who still had a beautiful smile on his face, the ghouls, along with Draculaura carrying the baby boy, then walk out of the football field, finally ending their search for the source of the cries
From that moment on, a new adventure has started...
