Note: My first crossover fanfic. For now, expect nothing much in the first chapter, as it'll all come around once chapter two arrives. Enjoy!

Chapter One: A Happy Not Birthday
Eric Cartman celebrates his tenth birthday with the same amount of joy as everyone else, but that doesn't end well. The party is held at a small diner, not far off from his house and everybody was invited. Stan, Kyle and Kenny are all there, along with their parents, Butters, Clyde, Token, Jimmy, Craig, Tweek and even Wendy came to attend the celebration. The diner is pretty crowded so he finds himself sitting at a booth on the side, trying to catch up with what's happening around him.
The first thing he notice is Kenny chatting away excitedly to one of the girls seating next to him, "Baby, I've got to take you over to my place tonight if that's cool with you."
She just smiles back and nods, "Sure thing babe! Where do you live?"
"Well, my place is nearby so it should be a no problem." He tells her with a smile before giving her a peck on the lips.
Cartman can see she's blushing slightly and giggling, so he assumes that Kenny really is taking her home. He observes them for a while before Butters came to sit down next to him, "Hey Eric! Happy birthday!"
He gives him a bright smile, "Thanks Butters, but you really gotta stop calling me that or otherwise I'll have to punch you in the face again." He laughs a little bit at his own joke.
Butters chuckles nervously, "You wouldn't…would you?"
"I dunno', we'll see…" He answers.
Just then, the waitress walks by and brings Cartman a large size Blackforest cake with ten candles on it. Everybody seems to notice because as soon as the cake arrived, they immediately fall silent, staring at the piece of heaven in front of them. He rolls his eyes, "Seriously you guys? Don't make me regret inviting all of you here today."
"Okay everyone, time to sing!" Stan yells excitedly, gesturing for everyone to stand. The guests cheer loudly as they all get ready and the song begins, it's the chorus of the chorus and everyone sings in unison, "Happy Birthday to You!". As they finish singing, everyone looks expectantly at Cartman, waiting for him to blow out the candles.
'I'm sorry but I don't think I have any more wishes.' He thinks to himself bitterly. He stares at the cake in front of him for one last time before blowing out the candles. Everyone claps loudly before returning to their own conversations, having to share a slice of Blackforest cake with each other, or eat it alone when their families aren't present.
Finally, Cartman gets his first taste of the Blackforest cake since most of the guests had already finished theirs. 'Mmm... The cake tastes really good. What makes it so good though? Maybe some secret ingredient no one knows about. Well whatever, it tastes great anyways.' He thinks to himself before finishing his slice. And from that moment on everything went downhill for Cartman, he receives a text message from his mom, informing him that she won't be able to attend his birthday party due to the circumstances in regards to her 'job' and that she'll be at home later in the evening to explain herself. 'Great...just wonderful.' He groans under his breath as he puts his phone away.
"Dude you alright?" Stan asks, concerned for his friend.
"Yeah, yeah fine just..." His voice trails off as he stands up from his seat, "I'm going home." He announces as he turns towards the door.
"Oh come on dude! You still haven't open up our presents!" Kyle exclaims.
"And besides, I didn't come all the way down here just to see you blow out your fucking candles." Craig pipes in.
An idea suddenly pops into Cartman's head, and without thinking much about it, he starts heading back to the table where his friends are seated. "Excuse me waitress, can you please give me one big bag?" He requests as he slides into his chair once more. The waitress just nods and grabs a medium sized black garbage bag from the counter, handing it to him. "Okay now everyone, place your presents inside this bag." The guests nod their heads and start putting their gifts inside the sack. Once they're done, Cartman picks up the trash bag, only to find out that it is undoubtedly heavy enough to cause him difficulty carrying it all. "Come on, come on. Come on." He mumbles to himself.
"Uh...Cartman? Are you sure you wanna, carry that sack all by yourself?" Wendy asks hesitantly.
Token nods in agreement, "I mean, I know how 'coughs' strong you are but that looks like a really bad idea."
"We're here to celebrate your birthday! Can't you just let us celebrate it with you?" Clyde adds on to the conversation.
"I'm afraid you'll just have to make do without me. Alright that settles it then. Screw you guys, I'm going home." And with that Cartman proceeds to exit the diner through the back entrance, leaving behind the bewildered looks of confusion.
Stan stares after him in disbelief, "What the fuck?! He can't be serious!"
Kyle shrugs, "Guess we'll never know."
Once he's out of the diner, he starts his journey home, walking quickly as the sack of gifts is dragging along the ground with each step. He walks briskly and stops in an empty alleyway to lean against the wall of the building. As he leans against the wall, he takes a quick glance at his surroundings, seeing nobody in sight, he continues his walk towards the street corner in front of him. After turning left, he finally arrives in front of his house. By the time he reaches his doorstep, the sun has set, and there are dark purple shades covering most of the windows. He places the sack onto the ground, and opens up his front door, stepping inside. Not bothering to turn the lights on, he makes a beeline towards his room. Once he is in his room, he throws the sack onto his bed and head back down to the living room, flopping back on the couch.
About half an hour later, Liane arrives home to find that the lights are off. She turns on the lights and was shock to find Cartman sitting alone in the dark, with his arms crossed, deep in thought.
"Poopsikins?" She calls out in a hushed tone.
Cartman raises his head to face her, giving her a tired yet annoyed look, "Care to explain where have you been all day long?"
"I'm sorry Poopsikins." She apologizes. "It's just that-"
He shakes his head, "No seriously, what were you doing all afternoon. Is it more important than your son's birthday?!" He asks exasperatedly.
Liane sighs sadly, "Eric...please allow mommy to tell you the reason why she's late..." she begs.
Cartman just sits there, glaring at her. "Go ahead."
FLASHBACK [Liane's side of the story]
Mommy was in a dilemma, at first I thought of getting you a present that was sweet and simple like a stuffed animal. But then I remember you said you wanted a present which none of your friends had and is on the trend these days, which means it will have to be something expensive and fancy. After about an hour of contemplating what present to buy, I came across a store which sells expensive designer jackets. The store offered a package where the jacket comes with the birthday boy/girl's name printed on it, which I figured is the easiest thing to choose.
"Well, hello there young lady," the owner of the store greeted.
"Hi, um, do you sell jackets that are of limited edition which comes along with the package?" I asked curiously.
"Of course! Let me show you some of our best ones." He responds as he leads me towards the back of the store where the limited-edition jackets were displayed.
He showed me some designs from various professional designers. And one of it catches my eye. It was a yellow jacket with black letters embroidered at the bottom right edge of the jacket. "How about this one? It's very unique." He said with a smile while pointing to the design.
I nod, "Yes... That seems perfect." I said happily.
"And may I ask who will be wearing this jacket?" He asked, curious as he hands me the jacket.
I smiled, "Actually, I'm not wearing this for myself. It's for my son." I replied truthfully.
"Woah, you have a son? You look way too young to have one, or is it just me?" He laughs softly as he tries to conceal his excitement for my answer.
I giggled quietly, "I'm 47 actually. He's turning 10 years old today."
"I see... Well if I may ask young lady, what's his name?" He questioned, eagerness filled his eyes, even though he was trying to hide it.
A soft smile appeared on my lips, "His name is Eric Cartman." My smile turned genuine. "And he's such a lovely boy; I could just cry every time I think about him." I gushed with tears in my eyes.
The owner lets out a small laugh, "You seem really happy about that."
"Yeah, I am." I replied. A comfortable silence falls between the two of us. I slowly looked up, locking eyes with the man, he immediately blushed. Before either of us realized it, our faces were close together.
"Oh well, now that you've chose a jacket, I need you to fill out a form in my office. The selection in the form will be use for the name printing of the jacket. Now please follow me." The man states, gesturing towards the direction of his office.
"Sure," I said as I walked towards his office with him following suit. After the both of us entered the office, I sat down in the chair before the desk, while he stands next to the sofa.
"Now," the man began, "fill in the blank with your son's name." He instructed.
"Right...of course..." I said nervously as I flip through the forms until I got to the correct page. "Here we go…"
"Great! All you have to do now is to check in the box with regards to the cursive and its size." He explained.
After the check is completed, I took in a shaky breath. "So, uh...is there anything else I need to do?"
The man shook his head, "That shall be it. Just sign here and I'll return this form when I finish working on it."
"Alright… thank you so much for your help, Mr...?" I trailed off as I waited for him to finish writing on the form.
"Daniel. Daniel Latimer." He replied politely.
"Thank you, Daniel." I said politely back. I put my hand out for him to shake, but he didn't take it. And instead, he gave me a warm smile.
"Pardon me if I'm being rude by asking this but, by any chance, are you single?" He asked.
"Uhh, yeah I am." I answered him back.
He smiled widely, "Tell me, what's your name?"
"Liane."
"Pleasure to meet you, Miss Liane." He shook my hand firmly.
I smiled at him in return, "Likewise." Our eyes met once more, and as I continued staring into his blue eyes, my heart started beating faster, and my cheeks heating up. I quickly avert my gaze, looking away. However, his face had gotten closer to mine. "Um Daniel..." I whispered shyly, as I felt his soft breath brushing against my face.
"This is how I feel" He whispered back. His eyes locked onto mine, and I could feel butterflies flying around inside my stomach, sending tingling vibrations all throughout my body. He slowly placed his free hand on my cheek, tilting my head upwards so I'm looking straight into his eyes. I closed my eyes slightly at the feeling of him caressing my skin with his thumb. This time when he leaned down, I didn't try to pulled away as I felt our lips collided against each other. A spark ignited within my mind and the rest of my body followed suit. We kissed slowly at first but it became much more passionate and intense as time went on, soon enough the kiss turned heated. We broke apart to catch our breaths. "That took longer than I thought it would," Daniel panted, placing his forehead against mine.
I laughed softly in response, "That's because it's you. You're quite unpredictable." I teased.
"Is that so?" He replied playfully. "Then...let's keep this going, shall we?" he smirked seductively.
"Mmmm, sounds good to me…" I replied back seductively.
Before either of us knew it, we did that 'thing' and we did it for two hours straight without any interruption. When we finally finished, I looked at the time on my phone and realized that it was already 3:30 in the afternoon. "Oh no... I was supposed to be at the birthday party by now!" I whispered to myself with embarrassment, colouring my cheeks red.
"Hey don't worry about it baby. Let's just enjoy ourselves for a bit and then we can continue." Daniel responded lovingly as he placed a quick kiss on my forehead.
"Okay just, let me contact a friend of mine first." I sighed before leaving to make a call. I called your friend's (Stan) mom, Sharon. She picked up immediately after the first ring.
"Hello?" she said in a cheerful voice.
"Sharon, hi, is Eric there at the party?" I asked anxiously.
There was a short silence on the line, "...Yeah, he is, what's wrong?" she replied worriedly.
"Nothing..." I muttered guiltily. "I was just wondering if Eric is available right now?" I explained nervously.
"Uh yes, he is, why?" Sharon replied, puzzled.
"Oh, okay that's good, I just wanted to talk to him for a bit...if that's alright?" I said nervously.
"Uh sure, sure. Just give him a call." She spoke.
"Okay...thank you." I responded gratefully before hanging up. I quickly went over to Daniel's office, knocked once to gain his attention and opened the door to find him waiting for me, sitting on the couch.
"Now, shall we?" He asked with a wide smile.
"Again? Are you insane?" I exclaimed, laughing at his request. "Oh nevermind, let's just do it." I closed the door behind me and followed him back to his office. Once again, we did that 'thing' and we did it for another 2 hours before Daniel began working on the jacket. At about 6.30 in the evening, the jacket was ready to be printed and handed in for distribution.
"How much is it altogether?" I asked.
"It's $150. But the price is fixed, and only you get to pay for it." He replied while handing me the jacket, wrapped in a yellow paper bag.
"Thanks." I smiled warmly, taking the paper bag from him gently before heading to the exit of the store. Afterwhich, I decided to stop by a cafe, to grabbed some coffee and reflect back on what I've done for you. Truth be told, I felt really guilty as I've not done my part to make you happy for today. I knew that there was absolutely nothing that I could do to fix this...but I can still make it up to you, if you give mommy a chance.
