Hello There! I see you stumbled upon this story that I will be working on. This is linked to the Azur Lane universe but is more of a "what if?" That "what if" is what if the commander is a KAN-SEN but a modern (by modern, I mean a modern aircraft carrier) and male one? So, anyways enjoy!

February 21, 2079: 20:30 Military Time

Location: The Aleutian Islands, CVN 79 USS John F. Kennedy

A lone man walks the halls of the modern carrier. He knows he is alone, for this ship is his rigging. (Hi, I'm the Shikikan to the KAN-SEN I used to command. To the Eagle Union, I am USS John F Kennedy. I could have stayed with them, but I look for my kin, my brother.)

The man looks like he is in his early 20s, has a standard US Navy uniform; the 4 Gold stripes on the Shoulder Board and on the sleeves say that he is a captain. The white hat with the Eagle and anchor confirms that he is a member of the Union.

He walks up to the bridge of the mighty ship and looks upon the Aleutian islands. The man says "A nice place to test if my systems are still operational".

He goes down the stairs and onto the main flight deck, where an Eagle flew onto his shoulders. "Hey Tommy". He said. (Tommy is the name of the eagle; I have to accompany me. But, he is no ordinary eagle.)

"Alright Tommy, let's get to work.". He then opens his right hand as if he is holding something, and red cubes form something. The cubes then formed a modern sniper rifle.

The eagle turns into a giant mechanical eagle that has runways on its wings. A great screech from the eagle shatters the silence of the island chain.

"Tommy, aim at Unimak Island". Shikikan yelled out, as if he was giving an order to attack.

"Let's see if I am still skilled at aiming.". The Shikikan thought as he loaded his rifle as Tommy readied himself for combat.

"Launch Planes!" He said as he fired his rifle into the air, which turned into 3 Jet fighters.

5 more aircraft launched off the ginormous eagle and flew in formation with the 3 other fighters.

"Target: Mount Shishaldin, Fire at Will!". He conveyed over the high frequency radio "I hope this doesn't backfire considering that Shishaldin is a active volcano.".

The fighters dropped their payload of bombs on the mountain, and fired their missiles. The bombs and missiles hit the peak of the active mountain.

"Yes!". He exclaimed as the bombs detonated. "Looks like my accuracy and systems are still good." .He thought as the fighters landed on the eagle and the flight deck and then disappeared into red cubes.

Shikikan then went down stairs to the sleeping quarters. He thought, "Where should I go now?".

"If I patrol the Pacific, there is a high chance of me being caught.". He thought to himself. "But if I head to the Atlantic, I would be able to fight the sirens head on!". He thought as he was getting sleepy.

"Oh well, I will decide Tomorrow". He thought as he started to doze

February 22, 2079: 06:15 Military Time

Location: The Aleutian Islands, CVN 79 USS John F. Kennedy

The Shikikan woke up at 06:15 Military Time, as he only used military time in his time in the past.

He tiredly puts on his uniform and goes to the ship cafeteria."I should decide whether I am going to the Atlantic or stay in the Pacific.". He remembered from his last night's thoughts.

As he was making his breakfast of Eggs and Bacon, he felt like someone was watching him. "Hm, that's weird. Eh, whatever". He quickly forgot the feeling as he was making his scrambled eggs.

When he finished eating his breakfast, he still had that weird feeling of being watched. "Alright. this is too suspicious for me to ignore.". He quickly ran up to the bridge of the carrier.

"Activate AN/SPY-6 Radar!". He commanded. The carrier's AN/SPY-6 Radar started searching for anything that looked like a KAN-SEN.

The radar picked up nothing at first, but then something is spotted. A submarine periscope 100 Miles to the west. If it fired its torpedos, it would mean incapacitation for the carrier.

The submarine then un-submerged and a white girl with blonde hair emerged from the submarine with a camera. "Wait a minute! that girl and that Gato-class submarine, that's Albacore!". He saw as she started taking photos.

"Looks like I will have to chase her off". He calmly said as he ran down the stairs and summons his sniper rifle.

"Tommy, you can rest on my shoulders". He loaded and Tommy took the opportunity and landed on his shoulders.

"Target: USS Albacore, Use only Gatling-guns". He fired the sniper rifle in the direction of Albacore and the bullet turned into 3 F-35 Fighters.

The fighters fired upon the Gato-class submarine, trying desperately to force her back under the water. But, she was not phased by the constant Gatling-gun fire.

"Dammit, why isn't she going down?". He was trying to understand why she is still here. But if she was going to leave, something drastic must be done. With a firm voice, he ordered to drop one bomb.

"Authorization of a use of a bomb to deter the submarine.". He relayed to his fighters and one of them dropped a JDAM bomb near the submarine.

This time, it scared the submarine enough to cause it to go below the waves. He saw the Gato-class submarine submerge beneath the water of the Bristol Bay.

He gave the command to come back to the carrier. "All aircraft, return to the carrier.". They came back to where the carrier was, and as soon as they landed, they disappeared into red cubes.

He was thinking intensely on whether he should leave, but it was clear on what he would do. "Alright, I am going to the Atlantic.". He decided and started to decide what route he should choose.

"If I go through the western Pacific, there is a chance I would be caught by the Sakura Empire.". He thought about the routes on the maps for a long time before choosing another route. "Another would be going through the Panama Canal, but that would cause suspicion and involve traveling across the Western Eagle Union coastline.".

He considered all the options available to traverse the Atlantic but chose to go through the Panama Canal and risk being caught by the Eagle Union.

"Best to leave now, that submarine is probably reporting where I am." He prepared to leave the Aleutian Islands for good.

"I will miss the cold wilderness here.". He said as he was checking up on the propulsion motors

Finally, he was ready to leave. He turned on the carrier's nuclear reactor and the carrier started to move. He sighed a breath of relief and said "Let's do this.".

February 24: 2079: 10:20 Military Time

Location: O'ahu Island, Pearl Harbor

The port is bustling with the activity of KAN-SEN going out for shopping, training, and sorties against the sirens.

However, the mood hasn't been the same since the Shikikan left. Most of the port is in mourning because he is most likely dead.

One ship thinks he is still alive, however, but she needs evidence of him alive and well.

That ship is USS Enterprise, and as the most awarded Eagle Union ship and the secretary of the Shikikan. She has taken control of the port until he is found and returned to port.

Enterprise is doing paperwork when somebody with blonde hair and is small comes in. "Enterprise, I think I found something! I think I have found him!" said Albacore. "You did?!" Enterprise said in a shocked tone.

"This quickly? How did she find him so fast?!". She thought as the submarine handed her the photos.

The images show a supercarrier much larger than any known ship. "This is the same carrier that left the night Shikikan left!" Albacore added.

"A television screen played CCTV footage from the night of his departure" "See look, that's the same carrier!" Albacore said as Enterprise compared the two ships.

"Where did you take this photo?". Enterprise questioned. "Oh, I took it near the Aleutian Islands!". Albacore recited.

"Thank you, you can go now Albacore," Enterprise said as she returned to her normal tone.

"Got it!" Albacore replied and left the office. "Time to call a meeting, for if he loses him it could lead to his death.". Enterprise thought as she announced on the speakers that a meeting was happening.

"What's going on? Have you found Shikikan-sama!?"? Akagi first said at the meeting. "Yes, do you have any idea on where the servant is?". Queen Elizabeth replied. "I agree, Haben Sie irgendwelche Sichtungen von ihm?". Bismarck said last. "Yes, Let me Explain." Enterprise confidently said.

Enterprise shows them the photo and how it matches the one that left the port.

"So that's why that carrier is-". Enterprise said before being interrupted. "So your saying Shikikan-sama is that carrier!?!" Akagi said as she interrupted the Eagle Union Carrier.

"Yes, and we will search for him together," Enterprise announced to the leaders. "If we work together, we will have a better chance at finding him." Enterprise said as everyone else said, "Got it!"

"The Royal Navy will search the Gulf of Alaska with the Eagle Union." Enterprise said, "While the Sakura Empire and Iron Blood will search the other half." Enterprise said, expecting complaints.

"Any complaints?" Enterprise questioned. "Bangō! (No!)". Akagi said. "I cannot disagree.". Queen Elizabeth formally replied. "Nein." Bismarck sternly said.

"All right, we will start searching tomorrow morning at 05:00, got it?". Enterprise announced. "Got it!". Everybody said.

"All of you can leave," Enterprise replied. "Hai!, Alright then, Ja gnädige Frau!". Were said from the leaders.

"Shikikan, why did you run away?". Enterprise thought as she prepared to tell the Eagle Union that they were leaving to search for him. All the other leaders prepared as well to tell their factions as well.

Well that's all for part one, Hope you enjoy and this is just the beginning. Shikikan will have to fight and accept that he will be with the KAN-SEN for a long time. Feel free to critique my first story and just enjoy the ride!
