Chapter one:

As Haruhi walks through the Ouran school courtyard she glances around.

Some of the students are flying while others are on the ground.

After all this is a school mainly for high status angels and demons, though humans with high test scores are allowed to try to get in.

Haruhi is the only one who had dared do so and she did get in.

Humans, demons and angels live in peace; to the point that angels and demons even have human like lives and jobs. Hence humans with high grades are allowed into Ouran.

Haruhi may be an odd one out in this school, though has always felt it's the same as in any of her previous human schools. So she isn't really bothered by it. She turns away and walks through the school to try to find a place to study. She slows to a pause as she finds a quiet room. She opens the door heading inside only for rose petals to be thrown at her.

"Welcome!" A group greets her looking like they're posing for a magazine cover.

Haruhi guesses that they must be a friend group, since there's both angels and demons. She knows that clubs have only angels or demons in them. "I should get going I need to study. I didn't mean to bother you."

"Nonsense!" The blonde angel gets up going over to Haruhi. He stands as though trying to show off how good he can look. His act makes her want to groan. "We welcome everyone here to our club room. Angels, demons and even humans."

"Club?" Haruhi questions in surprise before glancing to the other members. She's never seen a club in this school with mixed members. She didn't think it was possible.

"Why yes." The blonde angel puts an arm around Haruhi's shoulders. He lets her go when she moves out of his grasp. "We are the Ouran high school host club!"

"Oh, go figure." Haruhi slightly mummers under her breath at hearing this. She supposed that is one of the type of clubs one could expect a mixed group.

"We pride ourselves on being the only club with mixed members." The blonde angel continues.

"Look that's great and all but I really got to go study." Haruhi attempts to move away from the angel.

"Oh come now. Stay a little while. We can entertain you." The angel follows after her as she moves.

"No thanks. I really should get going." Haruhi continues to move away from the persistent angel. "Look I'm not looking for a club. I'm just looking for a place to study." She wonders if he is persistent like this because he's an angel, and that he sees her as needing to be helped.

"You need to relax though. You're so tense. Take our offer and stay awhile." The angel insists making Haruhi slightly groan. "Studying can wait. Life isn't only about good grades. Let us take care of you."

Haruhi does notice the other members are just watching. She supposes that they are just letting the angel, who may be their leader, do what he feels should be done. She also catches curiosity about her on their faces. She supposes to some she is a bit fascinating being a human in this school. She is also a bit curious about this group as well due to who is members of this club. She hadn't even thought of joining a club before. She's always been so busy however getting to know more of this club is tempting. She could investigate their inner workings and how they manage their members. She just believes that she doesn't have time to worry about a club. "I am good. I really am. I like studying. So if you'd just let me go." She backs up only to knock into a small table. She turns noticing that a vase was sitting on it. She spins around trying to catch it but it's too late. She tenses watching it fall.

Suddenly the vase is grabbed by some red magic.

Haruhi tries to calm her racing heart. She turns as a black haired demon approaches. She sees he has a finer up with a small red ball of light glowing above his finger.

"Now now. Lets not go around breaking things." The demon uses his magic to put the vase on the table Haruhi fixes. He lowers his finger causing the ball of light to vanish once done.

"Sorry about that. I didn't mean to almost break it." Haruhi admits feeling a bit embarrassed at almost destroying such a nice vase. "I'll take my leave. I don't want something else to potentially happen." She turns to do so.

"You know." The demon that saved the vase begins. "Joining a club can look good on applications to colleges." He brings up perking Haruhis interest.

"Well I suppose I could try it out." Haruhi muses realizing that the demon is actually right. So she figures that this could be the club that she might be able to fit in out of all the clubs here, since they are the only one she's seen with both angels and demons. "At least so I can make up for almost breaking your vase."

"Welcome to the Ouran high school host club!" The angel puts his arm around her shoulders and she doesn't move away.

Haruhi doesn't want to knock over the vase again.

"Let me introduce you to everyone." The angel tells Haruhi then points to each member. "I am Tamaki. This is Kyouya, Mori, Hunny, Hikaru and Kaoru."

Mori, Hunny and Tamaki are the angels of the group.

Kaoru, Hikaru, and Hikaru are the demons of the group.

"It's nice to meet you all." Haruhi greets as the newest member despite being human.

"Lets get you all suited up. Gotta look your best after all. Don't worry we'll take care of it all." Tamaki suggests to her.

Soon enough Haruhi is whisked away and worked on by adults called in to help. She hardly has anytime to try to resist their efforts before everything is done. She is shown a mirror once they are all done. She blinks as she looks at herself in the mirror. Her clothes have been changed out for a male school uniform which she did in a changing room after being given the uniform, her hair cut to a more neat look that actually compliments her looks, and she has replaced her glasses for some contacts that they surprisingly managed to get rather quickly. She doesn't say it out loud but she actually really likes her new look. She heads out to show the group who smile in approval. "Are you sure about giving me a uniform?" She hadn't been able to afford one of them so she was the only one there without one before.

"Of course." Tamaki comes over with his angel wings spread out happily. "Don't you worry about it. Club members look out for each other. You're one of us now and we simply could not leave you with nothing after agreeing to join."

Haruhi smiles to this as it feels nice to be in such a nice group. "Thank you. I'll do my best to not disappoint you." She plans to follow through with that.
