Lilium Act 1 - 1: Art
Hello and welcome to my very first Fanfic!
I love art, I always wanted to draw but I was never really any good at it (which just sucks)
Again, I'm not going to be detailed with the drawing scenes, but I am going to use it to show a bit of how Izuku grows and the relationships he forges with the others.
Also, I feel I need to share three pieces of Important info with you
1) There are three Acts to this story each beginning with "Lilium" Which means "Lily" in Latin, and there are three Lily's in this story, both metaphorically and literally, so if you can find the meaning behind what these three Lilies represent, then you might understand the story (and I know how easy it is to find the definition of what a lily flower means so yeah that part is easy, it's the understanding why that mean to the story that you have to figure out. So ha!)
2) this takes place right after the Summer camp Arc and Bakugo Capture and a few weeks before the Provisional license exam and will not focus the the "Hero" events as everything pretty much goes as canon until we get to the 2nd and 3rd act.
3) I will at least detail the finished work that Izuku completes because my mind was overflowing with each piece of art I planned on Izuku to draw in the story, (and to also grow a certain relationship I have planned for the story)
P.s.: You will not be ready for the ending to this story I swear to god! I finished planning it! I'm not even lying!

"It was a simple day at UA Highschool, the school that trained young and promising quirked teens to become the heroes of Japan. However, it isn't always about that. Such a school still has many ways to take their minds off all the stress and business of the day.
UA Highschool has after-school clubs that help students unwind and progress in any hobbies that interest them. Many have taken a liking to a few which have also helped them grow in different ways.
Our story begins with our Green-haired protagonist finding a flyer for a certain club..."
"Huh? Art Club?" Izuku asked
Currently, Izuku just cleared his food tray and happened to pass by the Cafeteria bulletin board. he had always seen it, but never really took a good look at it. However, now that he was close to it, he felt as if he should take a better look at it. When he did, he noticed the flyer for the Art Club. He was aware that they had after-school clubs at UA, but never knew they had an art club.
It also kind of didn't surprise him, since Midnight was the art teacher here, so it might have been her suggestion to start an Art club at UA. Though, it did make him worry about what kind of things Midnight might have the club drawing...
"What are you looking at Deku?"
Izuku turned around only to see Uraraka Ochako, Tenya Iida, Tsuyu Asui, and Shoto Todoroki. All of them were cleaning off their trays as well. Izuku set his atop the return tray bin and then looked to his friends while holding the flyer in his hands.
"O-Oh, well, after clearing my tray I decided to take a look at the bulletin board here in the cafeteria and I noticed a flyer for an Art club here and I decided to check it out," Izuku told them as he held the flyer in front of them.
Uraraka took a look at the flyer, "Art club huh?" Uraraka began "Sounds pretty interesting"
Tsuyu put her finger to her chin and looked at Izuku, "Are you thinking about joining, kero?" asked Tsuyu
Izuku looked back to the flyer and thought about it and it did indeed interest him. after he learned to draw over the years in his hero notebooks, he liked to draw a bit here and there, mainly for practice, but he did enjoy it as it was also a very great way to relax after some of the stressful days he had back in middle school.
"Y-You know what? I am!" Izuku said
Todoroki looked at him with a bit of a surprised expression, "Really?" Todoroki asked, "Why?"
Izuku looked to Todoroki with a bit of a sheepish smile, "Well, I-I do draw some designs and pictures of equipment and Pro-Heroes in m-my notebooks and I did draw a few times for f-fun because it as it uses to help me relax when I was feeling down or just r-really anxious,"
Todoroki looked at him and nodded, "Understandable" He replied
Izuku nodded with a smile, and then he turned to all of them "Anyway, any of you guys wanna come with me to join?" Izuku asked his friends
Iida shook his head, "Sorry Izuku, I have some studying to do with Shoji and Ojiro," Iida said "Not to mention I'm a bit behind in English, so I got to get that done as soon as possible"
Tsuyu nodded as well, "Kero, Same here, though I also just want to relax and take it easy after school, and I want to catch up on my shows," Tsuyu said "I just started watching Beastars and it's really good"
Uraraka smiled bashfully and scratched behind her head nervously, "Sorry Deku, but I don't think I'm not much an artist, and I also just like to take it easy after school ends"
"O-Ok, that cool guys," Izuku then turned to Todoroki, "What about you Todoroki?" Izuku asked
Todoroki shook his head, "Sorry, I'm already in a club" Todoroki replied
The four looked at him and they were a bit surprised to hear that he was already in a club.
"Really?" Iida asked, "What club of you don't mind me asking?"
"It's the Carpenter club," Todoroki said
The four looked surprised but then remembered his room and him being in the carpenter club kind of explained why he was so good with furniture and why it was easy for him to make his room like that.
'thankfully it's not a conspiracy club or something like that' Izuku thought to himself. However, the quirk-inheritor now realized he was going to be alone in the Art club, which was a bit nerve-racking, but he'd manage... hopefully. "Well, then I'll go and head to the classroom and see if I can join," Izuku said "I'll see you guys back at the dorms," He said as he walked off
"Bye Deku" Uraraka said with a wave
"See you later, Izuku!" Iida said with a smile
With that, Izuku left the cafeteria and walked down the hallway to the classroom that the flyer said the Art club would be at, which was, of course, the Art classroom. (duh!)

Izuku arrived at the Classroom and he could hear people inside the classroom, not too many, only a few. The flyer said they met during lunch and after school, so He did feel very nervous about walking in and talking to Ms. Midnight about joining the Art Club in front of a bunch of people who he didn't know, being looked at like he was weird. Was it irrational fear? Yes, it was, but did he have a good reason for thinking that? Oh Yeah, he had a very good reason for thinking about that, but he was here now, so there was no backing down now!
He entered the classroom and when he looked inside, he saw two students from 1-B, a student he has never seen before, and Midnight. He was expecting a lot more students, but the lack of a lot of students made him a lot less nervous, but still a little nervous.
Midnight saw the door open and saw Izuku standing there at the entrance, she smiled and looked at him, "Ah, Hello Izuku! What can I do for you?" She asked as signaled him to come in,
Izuku walked in and walked over to Midnight and gave his usual nervous smile, "U-Um, Hello Ms. Midnight, I was... Well, I was wondering if I can join the Art Club?" Izuku said
Midnight looked at him with a smile, "Of course!" She said Cheerfully, "Your work in class was always amazing, and you are very talented Izuku, so you are very much welcomed to join," She said
It was here that Izuku's nervousness disappeared and he gave Midnight a bright smile, "Ha! Th-Thank you!"
"No need to thank me," Midnight told him "So, If your gonna join us, you need to know a few things, We meet every day during lunch and Afterschool, You aren't forced to come to lunch since it's mostly just the club hanging out or taking time to finish the projects I hand out to them, but after school meetings are mandatory, if you can't make it, let me or one of the members know, got it?" She asked
Izuku nodded
Midnight smiled, "Good, now, meet with the members while I get ready to tell everyone what the next club project is"
"Shouldn't the whole club be there then?" Izuku asked
Midnight sighed with a smile, "The entire club is here"
Izuku's eye's widened and he saw how small the Art Club was and he found it a little sad that not many were interested in the club. But Izuku nodded and went to go meet and introduce himself to the club members that were here. He first walked up to the faces he recognized, which were two students from 1-B, a boy and a girl. The boy had brown spiked-up hair that was a bit shorter than Bakugou's, and the girl had white hair and a bang that covered one of her eyes.
"Um, Hi," Izuku said as he approached them "I'm-
"Izuku Midoriya, from class 1-A, you were in the sports festival and fought against Shoto Todoroki, you also had a run-in with Stain but were then rescued by Endeavor, and you were one of the few students at the Camp who fought a villain, and also needed to be taken to the hospital, you are also considered one of the strongest people in UA amongst the 1st year students here at UA," Said the girl as she turned to him
Izuku was a bit stunned that she knew that much about him, and had no idea how to respond to her.
The boy saw his stunned expression and smiled, "She's like that," Said the boy with a smile, "Reiko is sort of like a book of information on every student in our grade, she isn't a stalker, more like she just like to have detailed information on everyone, so don't think anything of it" He said
Izuku looked at him and gave him a nod, "R-Right," He said
The boy smiled, "I'm Sen Kaibara, this is Reiko Yanagi, It's nice to meet you Izuku, and welcome to the club"
"Thank you," Izuku said "It's nice to know a few people from my grade are in here, makes me feel less nervous," he said
Reiko nodded in agreement, "Why'd you join, Izuku?" Reiko asked
Izuku scratched the back of his neck in embarrassment as he smiled, "Well, I saw the flyer in the cafeteria and it caught my interest and decided to join" he replied
"Ah, I see," Reiko said, she then looked behind Izuku and saw the other female, "Oh, here comes Mawata Senpai"
Izuku turned around only to see a girl walking toward them. She was a bit shorter than him and she had light-colored pink hair that reached down to her shoulders, with straight bangs parted to the left, She had round, dark eyes and had long eyelashes and noticeably dark eye make-up, her pupils appeared to be shaped like small stars or clouds, and she was wearing a pair of puffy, cloud-shaped earrings, and she was currently wearing the UA uniform minus the blazer as she had an apron on, which was stained with paint, she now stood in front of him and held out her hand for her to shake.
"Nice to meet you Izuku Midoriya," Mawata said "I'm Mawata Fuwa of class 2-A in the hero course,"
Izuku heard that she was a Senpai by Reiko, but didn't know she would be in the Hero course. "Nice to meet you, Senpai," Izuku said "How do you know about me?" Izuku asked
She giggled, "Mr. Aizawa talks about you a lot," she said "You're the new "Problem Child" apparently," She said
Izuku was a bit confused, "You mean I'm not the first?" He asked
Once again, she giggled, "Well, there were two in our class, but you're looking at one of them," she said "I was problem child number 2," she said
"R-Really?" Izuku asked, "What is your Quirk Mawata Senpai?" Izuku asked suddenly as he took out a notebook,
"He also did say you were a Quirk Enthusiast, my Quirk is-"
"Alright, guys! I am ready to announce your next project~!" Midnight said
The four students looked at her as she approached them. She looked at them all and smiled, she then looked at Izuku, "You just joined Izuku, so you don't have to participate in this one if you don't want to"
"No, no, no, I-I can do this," He said "It would seem unfair not to participate," He said
Midnight smiled at him, "Alright then," She said "Anyway's your next project is drawing something that makes you think of music, it can be anyone or anything," Midnight said
"Oh, Nice!/Sweet~/How exciting!" The three members cheered,
Izuku thought about and while a bit hesitant, he already agreed to do it, so nerves be damned! He would do this Project! "This sounds r-really good!" He cheered as well
Midnight smiled at them, "Alright then! Go and enjoy yourselves!" Midnight cried with glee
Izuku smiled, he was ready to do this! He could do this! Wait... He didn't listen to a lot of music!
