In the world, strange occurrences happen every day. The reason for these being unknown to all, except for those who possess the Yo-kai Watch and have the uncanny ability to see the elusive Yo-kai: invisible, spirit-like beings responsible for life's daily annoyances. Amongst them, there are Yo-kai who cause trouble to humans and threaten the peace and tranquility of the world. To stop them, there is a specialized group of people who fight against these trouble-making Yo-kai along with the evil Yo-kai who bring terror onto the innocent. Heroes of the living world who work alongside Yo-kai with the use of special Yo-kai X Boosters, devices which allow them to combine with Yo-kai and gain incredible powers. This story follows a certain group of heroes and their journey to protect the world from all who threaten it. Making amazing friends and fighting powerful enemies, they protect the good people and Yo-kai of the world. They are the Element Gang Yo-kai Boosters!
