Rise Of G-Morph And The Amazing Spider-Man:
Summary, for those who read this story on their phone's browser:
Gwen Stacy is chosen by Eunice to become the successor of the Hero Of Heroes, Ben Tennyson. Read and enjoy her origin as the heroine, G-Morph, and her ever-growing adventure with her arachnoid boyfriend.
This story is mainly based on the movies of The Amazing Spider-Man and the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but it also has some original ideas. Peter and Gwen pairing. I was inspired by The Incredible Muffin's My Alien Academia and Ben 10: Unlimited. Originally titled "Wristed Heroes". This is the first story of my big planned series, Amit's Cinematic Universe, or ACU for short.
Ben 10 does not belong to me and Spider-Man and the rest of Marvel do not belong to me. Ben 10 belongs to Cartoon Network and was made by Man Of Action, and Spider-Man and Marvel belong to Disney and were made by Stan Lee.
Before we start, I have an author note: the Marvel universe here is heavily based on The Amazing Spider-Man movies and the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but I am also going to add a few elements from The Spectacular Spider-Man cartoon, Spider-Man PS4, and some original ideas and concepts.
You are probably going to have some questions while reading my story, mainly regarding minor characters like Ben Tennyson, Harry Osborn, some certain mysterious characters, and an original character that will appear later on. But do not worry; all will be answered in later chapters.
I was inspired by The Incredible Muffin's writing when I wrote this, so you will probably notice some similarities to stories like My Alien Academia. If you are not familiar with The Incredible Muffin or his stories, then go read them. Even the stories that he wrote and for some reason deems "not so good" are great and fun to read. I sure have a lot to learn from this man about writing.
Chapter 1: The Successor.
(Multiverse-B, Earth-Prime, Mount Rushmore-Omnicity, November 3012)
A blonde woman entered the laboratory of the Mount Rushmore base of Plumbers. She had a determined look on her face with a nearly unnoticeable sign of doubt about her decision.
She asked this years ago and insisted on it nearly every time the subject came out in conversations in the last few months. She could not stay in her comfort zone forever, not when she knew it was her chance to help someone directly in so long. She wished she could say that she could not remember the last time she went out to the field, but that would be a lie; she will never forget how she lost one of the people she loved and cared for the most.
As she walked in, she was greeted by a familiar green flash. When the flash faded, the blonde woman saw the man she had known and admired ever since she opened her eyes for the first time.
"Are you sure you want to do this?" The man asked as he just finished the final touch on his project, "I could just write a tutorial program in my image and install it into the new watch. It will only take an hour, and you will not have to deal with an inexperienced kid, or worse, a teenager."
"I'm sure, Ben." The woman replied to the man. She hugged him and put her hand on his finished creation, "They better have a mentor who can actually think for their own and have some experience with this kind of technology. And other than that, you know that I need it. I will see you as soon as they are ready. And don't underestimate teenagers. You were 16 by the time I met you, after all." The woman said with a smile before disappearing in a green flash of light and converting into the alien watch on the table.
The man, who is now known as Ben, held up the alien-looking watch and smiled. He activated his own gauntlet-looking watch, and a green portal opened in front of him. "Whoever you might be on the other side. If you are worthy, welcome to the life of a hero." He looked at the watch that contained his friend one last time before throwing it into the portal and closing it after a few seconds.
After the portal closed, Ben received a notification on his watch. "Sigh... A hero's job is never done, isn't it?" Ben said to himself before disappearing in another flash of light and being replaced by an alien lifeform, "It's Hero Time!"
(Multiverse-M, Earth-616, New York, January 2012)
Gwen Stacy was exceeding the average student in her school. She was one of the smartest and also one of the prettiest students, not like she wanted people to know that she cared about the latter. Her golden-blonde hair, beautiful face, and fairly well-shaped body were just bonuses that came with her great personality and high intelligence. If you didn't know her personally, then you would still guess that after school, she goes to her part-time job at Oscorp Tower, where she could actually live up to her great potential as a scientist instead of wasting her after-school time like most teenagers.
Despite her popularity and will to help others, she struggled to consider many students around her age her friends. There was this other student, Peter Parker, who became her lab partner ever since his only friend, Harry Osborn, was transported to a private school in Europe. Despite being a nice guy, and the only one close to her intellectually, Peter Parker was a little weird and surprisingly lonely. But she didn't care for his weirdness. The fact that she and Peter only knew each other for a single month and barely ever talked to each other outside of class allowed Gwen to give Peter the benefit of a doubt about his said weirdness and unexplained loneliness.
Most people would only see Peter as the guy who's got bullied quite often by some of the students for his former chubby looks, or as the guy who got coughed numerous times taking pictures of Gwen and a few other girls at school. But Gwen was different than them; It didn't make her not see how good of a person Peter was when given a chance or how often he helped others whenever he could.
...
Being both smart and beautiful may have had a lot to do with her genes, but she was told by her parents from a young age that those gifts must be maintained by the correct lifestyle, and that included, but was not limited to jogging and working out regularly. As her mother always claimed and verified by other experts like her, "Jogging regularly will not only make you physically healthier, but it will also strengthen your executive functions and make you feel generally happier and satisfied," If only her little brother enjoyed taking better care of himself as she did.
Considering that her mother is a Neuroscientist, Gwen had never doubted those claims, and the results had always supported them. She was a girl with her life planned for her.
Gwen had many workout outfits, on top of her everyday outfits the fancier ones, but on Friday nights, she usually wore a white sweatsuit with a hoody, a black neck warmer, and matching black sneakers. It reduced the chances of being unseen in the dark and getting hit by a car without the need for an ugly light-reflecting vest.
One evening, during her weekend jogging, Gwen spotted a green flash of light in an alleyway that she passed by. She jokingly thought at first that Peter stalked her again and took a picture of her, but something did not add up. The source of the light continued to glow when she looked back, and she never saw a green camera flash.
She'd stopped her jogging and walked into the alleyway, and what she saw there changed her life forever. It was a black wristwatch with a squared faceplate that had a green hourglass with a black background on it, but the fact a small watch glowed so brightly wasn't the weirdest thing about the strange-looking watch. It floated in the air, and after a few seconds of staring at it, the watch changed its position, as if it was looking back at her.
She walked slowly towards the strange levitating watch as if she wasn't sure why she was still there. Most high school girls, or even adult people, would have probably just ran away the moment the watch "looked" at them, but Gwen wasn't like most people; she was a scientist, or at least wanted to become one after graduation, and her curiosity got the better of her. She got closer to the watch and tried to grab it, only for its strap to open and immediately lock itself on her left wrist.
She fell backward, if not from the velocity the watch jumped on her, then from the shock. Thankfully, there was nothing on the ground that could injure the blonde's back or stain her white hoody. As soon as she got back up, she tried to take off the watch by force, but to no avail.
"Do you want to take it off already?" an unfamiliar voice asked Gwen, though she couldn't see anyone in the area, "If you want, I can arrange it, but you will not remember ever having this experience, nor will you have another chance for this once in a lifetime opportunity," the voice spoke again.
"Who is this? Who are you?! What is this watch?!" Gwen shouted in fear while getting out of the alleyway. Just before she could get to an area where she could be seen by bystanders, a blonde woman appeared in front of the scared teenager. The woman looked like she was 18 years old at most. She had glowing green eyes and her hair was loose. She wore a white jumpsuit that perfectly hugged every curve of her body and had a black stripe that went from her neck all the way down to her belt. But the most noticeable trait of the woman's appearance was the fact Gwen could see through her as if she was a ghost or a hologram.
"Sorry for scaring you. I can only be seen and heard by whoever wears the Omnitrix. Please don't scream. I am not going to harm you." The older see-through woman said with her hands moving in an attempt to ensure safety as Gwen tried to stay calm, "Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Unitrix or Eunice for short. I am a living machine and currently serve as the AI who lives inside the Omnitrix," Both blondes looked down at Gwen's wrist. After calming down a little, Gwen tried to touch the other blonde's shoulder, only to find out that she was intangible. Another trait of a hologram.
"Gwen... My name is Gwen Stacy," Gwen said as politely as she could in that unnormal scenario, "Wh-what is going on right now, Eunice?"
The holographic woman, now known as Eunice, continued with the tiniest flicker, "L-Let me explain it from the start. I was created in another universe almost 1,800 years ago by a genius inhuman being named Azmuth and helped the user of his greatest creation to save that and many other universes multiple times during the last 1,000 years. Unfortunately, my friend can't protect everyone in every multiverse at all times, so we have built together this replica of his Omnitrix, and I downloaded myself into it so I could find someone worthy of its unrivaled power." Eunice took a break to give Gwen a moment to let it all sink.
"Hold on! Do you want me to be like Iron Man? You want me to be a hero?!" Gwen asked as another major part of Eunice's statement came to her attention, "And are you telling me the multiverse is real?! I thought it was supposed to be all theoretical!" It was a lot to take in, and Gwen had many questions, but all Eunice did was look around before replying, seemingly to make sure no one had heard Gwen.
"Listen," Eunice said while signing with her hand to Gwen to lower her voice, "Only you can see or hear me. Can we return to your home so I could explain the whole thing without people thinking that you talk to yourself? If I had any money I would have bet you should get back home anyway. Your family must be worried about you being outside this late."
On any other day, Gwen would have been skeptical and convinced that the person in front of her was just trying use to spy on her father's work in the police or her boss at Oscorp Tower, but there was just too much evidence pointed at Eunice not lying about the whole multiverse thing, as overwhelming as it sounded.
Gwen took a deep breath before replying quietly yet stressfully, "Okay, fine. But you will have to answer all of my questions."
"Sure, boss," Eunice said with a smile as she disappeared, but her voice was still heard, "Good thing I found you at the weekend. It will probably take a while."
...
When Gwen got home, she was welcomed by one of the people she loved the most, "Hey, sis," Gwen's little brother, Howard, greeted her, "How was your jogging?"
Howard had blonde hair and blue eyes like his sister, only he kept his hair shorter. And despite being 3 years younger than her, he was somehow almost as tall as she was. According to their mother, he could surpass Gwen in terms of intelligence, but once he started feeling stressed at school, he stopped taking his study seriously. Gwen has always suspected that it was because of her accomplishments that their parents set their expectations above what Howard believed to be obtainable. They always made it clear to him that they love him even if he can't live up to their expectations, though, and Gwen always offered him help with his homework whenever she had the time and noticed his struggle. More often than not, the young brother rejected the offers, and that was usually the point where he showed more motivation to prove himself.
Gwen kept her left hand behind her back, "Umm... It wasn't anything special."
"Cool," He smiled, "I'm gonna watch some anime. Feel free to join me."
"It depends on whether or not you finished your homework already."
"Oh my god, sis! I have only one task left, and I need a break!" He sighed with partial acceptance, "fine! I will go finish them..."
"You know," Gwen suggested, "You can exercise as I do between school, hanging out with your friends, and doing your homework. You know how mom always encourages us to live healthily; If it helps me keep my head clear, then there is no reason for it not to work for you."
"And when should I do that?" Howard asked.
"Maybe you could cut down some of your anime time so you could make time," Gwen suggested, "If I can balance my life with a job, then so can you. And I think mom and dad will appreciate it too. You know they don't like that you watch those shows all the time."
"If it bothers them so much, then why don't they just block those channels?" Howard mumbled to himself. 'Do they just want to tell me that they are disappointed without doing anything about it?', he thought.
"If you want to know what I think, then it seems like they want you to be the one to make the first step. Sure, they could block the channels that show the anime you like, but they know that you are smart enough to find a loophole within hours. If you will make the first step and ask them to help you, then I am certain they will help you."
"Thanks, sis," Howard smiled at his big sister, "I'm gonna finish my homework now. And I think I will start by skipping today's episode. It is a part of a filler arc anyway."
"Great!" Gwen nearly bounced in place cheerfully, "Do you want me to tell them about your decision, or do you want to tell them yourself?"
"Dad will be here soon," Howard replied, "I will tell him myself."
After talking to her little brother, Gwen locked herself in her room and sat on her bed, looking at her new watch, "So why me?" Gwen asked, "Why not give this omni-thing to someone like Tony Stark? He is not the best person in the world, but he is an experienced hero." She always wanted to help people through science, but this is bigger than anything she has ever imagined. Heck, the greatest thing she expected to achieve before graduation was an academic success! "Why even bring this watch to this universe? Wouldn't your friend want to guide his successor where he could keep an eye on them? I mean, don't get me wrong. I do love helping people, but I don't want to shoot death beams at bad guys from my wrist, or whatever this watch can do!" It was at this moment that Eunice appeared sitting next to Gwen.
"First of all, that intervention was sweet and impressive," Eunice said, "Your brother reminds me of the stories my dad always told me about what my friend was like when he was only ten years old."
"Okay..." Gwen said confusingly, "And what about my questions?"
"To answer your questions by order," Eunice replied, "You were the first worthy human I have detected. I don't know who this Tony Stark is, but I assume he is that hero you mentioned earlier. Iron Man, right? Anyway, my friend, Ben Tennyson, otherwise known as Omnimaster, knew his successor would be a target like he was back when he first got his Omnitrix so he sent it to a universe that he has only visited once many years ago, where no earthling ever heard of him. And as I said before, if you do not want the Omnitrix then I can send a message to Ben and he will be here within a month or so to take it off. But until then, we are stacked together. I can search for other worthy people until he will arrive in case you decide to return to being a normal person." Eunice disappeared and then reappeared in front of Gwen, "But until then… Don't you want to see what power you are possessing now?".
Gwen looked at Eunice and then back at her watch, the Omnitrix. Her scientific curiosity took over again, "Show me what this watch can do!" Gwen said as she looked back up at Eunice who smiled.
"Alright! As the man said, IT'S HERO TIME!".
Author's notes:
So this is the first chapter of my first story on this website. I know it is a little short, and you must have some questions about Ben Tennyson and the timeline.
Long story short, Ben is around 1,015 years old because he became immortal and he is only now got close to finding a way to get rid of his immortality. I will explain the whole thing in the next chapter.
Gwen met Harry a few times, but they were not friends. And ever since he left she started to notice his friend Peter a little sooner than in the movie. If it wasn't for his stalkings, she would have asked him out by this point.
Howard Stacy is technically not an original character. Gwen has three young brothers in the Amazing movies, but since none of them has any personality, and you probably would not even know their names until you search for them online, I decided to compress them into one character who has a small character arc. If you must know, her brothers' names in the two movies are Howard, Simon, and Philip. I had to search again as I wrote this author's note.
If you have some questions or want to tell me what you think, then don't be shy. write your reviews and I will probably reply to them on my YouTube channel, where I usually talk about fanfic stories that I read and write. I also have there a series about this version of Ben's teen years. It is called The B-Arrowverse.
I also have a P-atreon. By supporting me there, you can get early access to the new chapters, and more importantly, help me release chapters more frequently.
I decided to see what kind of grammar errors I could find, and to my delightful surprise, I did not find too many of them.
