Hey there everyone, welcome to the snow elf of Eostia. probably the most gory story i'm going to write amongst other things. First and foremost this is going to be a mtf self insert fanfic, really because I'm better at writing those and it's a lot more comfortable for me to write, and I will be skipping the 'wake up in a new body, panic for weeks' thing.

There will be parts where you will see me rambling about something and it may not make sense to you, this is because I have ADHD and have trouble concentrating at times.

I don't own Koruinu, terraria, or anything else that may be mentioned. But if you like it please leave a review.

Deep in the everwinter tundra, where it never got above 15 Fahrenheit or -9.4 Celsius and there always seemed to be 30cm of snow, layed a large wooden ship beached along a large river where it looked as if he became part of the ground because of how deep the hull was buried. The hull was buried deep enough that the gun deck was only a meter off the ground. The ship itself resembled a first of the line man-o-war galleon, a massive ship made of a near pitch black wood giving it a nice dark coloring. The size was comparable to the Adler von Lubeck. The masts were folded up for the moment, no sense in letting them get damaged by the nor'easter happening outside. The ship itself was very muted color wise broken by a few splashes of orange and teal for trimming primarily along the top where the rigging was, the hatches where the cannons laid were sealed shut as well.

The inside was different from the hull, foremost being the sheer amount of crates filling the decks. The gun deck alone had to be filled with at least 100 crates, what they were filled with however would be shown later on. Already the deck was covered in a layer of snow blocking the view of most of the shop, but thankfully the captain's cabin was warm and where our wayward protagonists laid asleep.

Curled up with a thick wool blanket and a dozen fluffy pillows was, surprisingly, an elf named Syko, no last name. It had been a rough week since Syko had found herself in this frozen asscrack and she still had no idea how she got here, wherever here was. The last thing she remembers was going to bed after spending 6 hours playing terraria with her brothers and when she woke up she found herself in a new body and a lot of items from terraria. The first thing she had done was panic of course, not because of her body she couldn't care less about that, but because she was in the middle of what she could only explain as Alaska 2.0 electric boogaloo. Then she had opened every drawer or cabinet inside the cabin and found clothes warm enough for her to wear outside. Once she checked the three floors beneath her she found out not only did she have dozens of crates full of canned food, she also had a lot of materials as well including some really valuable ones like adamantium and mithril but surprisingly no titanium. Syko really didn't know what she was going to do with those metals so she had put them back into the crate.

The ship she found herself aboard was like someone took a galleon, removed all the cannons and sealed the hatches before filling it to the brim with food, materials, and stations for her to use.

"Mmmhmh~" Syko stretched as she woke up from her nap, her blanket falling off and revealing her form.

Bright bluish white hair that went to the middle of her shoulder blades covered her long ears and partially hid her piercing Green eyes. Her height was the same as before 5,8" or 172cm and her body had become rather thin but Syko figured that was because she was an elf, one thing she was thankful for however was that her new body parts weren't large. She could imagine how irritated she would have gotten if she had to deal with balloons on her chest while trying to wear armor.

"What's on the agenda today?" Syko's voice was quiet as she tapped her chin. "I think it was exploring again."

She sighed as she got out of bed, by day three she was exploring the area around her newfound home. Day one and part of two had involved a lot of screaming and passing out, also notes. Lots of notes.

"I haven't really gone to the starboard side beyond checking the immediate area around it so that may be today's goal." Syko muttered to herself as she threw on a white heavy jacket, a pair of wool boots, thick cotton pants, and a worm scarf to cover her face. It was the warmest clothes she had for the moment. "Hopefully I can find something worthwhile this time."

Before she left she pulled a few weapons from the rack next to the door. Just in case.

(Queen of the tundra)

{day 10}

Syko slowly looked around the forest line for a piece of game to hunt so she could eat something other than canned soup or whatever else she found in the piles of food. She hadn't really found much in the way of animals unfortunately.

'Come on, I want something good to eat.' Syko mentally whined. 'At this point i'll take a fuckin rabbit'

Just as she thought that she heard the telltale snap of a branch being stepped on. Just out of her eye she saw a Caribou step into the small clearing where she had set up shop, her heart beat increased as she raised her titanium repeater sights to the Caribou's chest where she believed the heart was. With a light squeeze of her finger the trigger was pulled and the arrow soared through the air. The Caribou jerked as the arrow was lodged inside its chest, stumbling a few feet before collapsing to the ground.

Syko stepped out from the tree line where she was hidden. Eagerly she made her way to the hopefully dead Caribou, and started dragging it back to her home to gut and skin it. As she pulled the corpse behind her by some rope she found an alarming thought rearing its head.

"I've never harvested a deer before…"

{day 11}

Syko wiped her hands as she looked over the Caribou carcass in front of her. Normally she would joke about it looking like a butcher got to it but that would imply someone compantant got to it. The guts were a few meters away tossed into the forest while the main carcass was hanging from a tree. She had already removed the legs and removed the skin from them, the ribs were already sitting in a metal crate that was empty, she had a few crates full of salt and pepper so she was good there, the tenderloins, rumps, shanks and everything else were there too. The cuts were not good in any way and she had probably lost a few pieces along the way.

Personally she was happy to have some fresh meat after ten days of eating canned goods, now the only thing she needs is some fresh vegetables. Before she left she cut the rope holding the carcass in the air. If any predators wanted the bones they were free to take it. She didn't have the necessary ingredients to make broth yet.

Inside the ship Syko put some wood onto an oven to start up a fire for her food. Using a nearby knife she cut small slivers of meat from the shoulder and rubbed salt and pepper into them to give it some flavor. Soon enough the area near the oven was warm and echoed with the sound of fresh venison grilling, Syko could feel her mouth start to water as she popped a canned thing of vegetables to eat with it. Oh how she enjoyed cooking again with fresh ingredients without someone over shoulder saying 'no Syko you can't throw 4 ghost peppers into the chili, Syko stop pouring lighter fluid on the grill because you like the way it poofs the flame up, Syko stop stealing pieces of the meal while you're cooking.'

Really the only problem she had was the lack of spices.

{day 17}

So apparently Syko had a lot of the mounts and pets in a crate located on the Gun deck. The mount items weren't large, maybe the size of a baseball, but the sheer variety made the task of sorting them a bitch and a half. Her favorite so far was the goat skull that now rested on her hip. I mean who wouldn't want a skeleton goat that trailed fire while it ran.

Syko absently scratches the goat's chin, her nails scraping along the bone, as she thought about what she wanted to do today. She's explored most of the area around the ship, barring the river, and has found trees and rolling hills for the most part.

"What should I call you?" Syko muttered, staring into the goats fiery eyes. "How about... Grim."

She giggled as she felt Grim headbutt her lightly, guess that means he likes it.

"What do you think we should do then Grim." Of course being a goat Grim doesn't say anything, merely staring at the surrounding area. "Maybe we should explore some more, see if we can't find any signs of civilization while we're at it."

She didn't know whether to cry or laugh at the fact that she was so lonely that she was now speaking to a goat like a person. Maybe it was a sign Syko was steadily going mad, who knows, it wouldn't be the first time. An hour later Syko had a travel bag containing a few days worth of food ready and the two were heading west into the great unknown to find someone or something that could point them in the right direction.

Even if she gets lost she can always follow the pull she feels whenever she gets too far from the ship and if she can't do that she has a recall potion and an ice mirror in her bag.

{day 21}

Syko didn't know if it was simply bad luck or something but even after 4 whole days of nonstop traveling through this accursed tundra she had not found anything that points to civilization. Granted she may have gotten lost and turned around or something. During that time she did find out that she did have an inventory like system but it looked as if someone chopped parts off so that was good. Now she only has 28 slots for gear and supplies, 3 slots for money, 2 slots for ammo, 6 slots for armor and the armor vanity, 7 slots for accessories surprisingly, 5 slots for pets and shit, and all the dye slots for them. Granted she did have to head back to the ship to grab everything but the dye and that delayed her journey by another day as she tried to find the stuff to fill them.

"Grim! Where the heck are we!" Syko attempted to yell over the Roaring blizzard around her. Grim simply jerked his head up to get her attention. She squinted her eyes as she tried to get a bigger look at the thing in front of her. "Is that mov-"

Syko was interrupted by a large wooden club slamming into Grim, launching her off and crushing one of the goats legs. As Syko pulled herself out of the snow where it reached her knees and was greeted to the sight of Grim trying to charge at something on the edge of her vision. Grim tried to run at whatever attacked them but collapsed to the ground after managing to stand back up, the elf looked up at the large figure that had a wooden club on its shoulder.

"Uyor! Watch where you swing, you could have hit the sow!" A deep rumbling voice sounded to her right.

"Bah! I knocked her off her weird beasty, So calm down Judduc." The thing that hurt Grim put a large furred foot on her goat, bringing a rising anger type feeling to Syko. "Just find the wench so we can drag her back to camp and breed her."

"Fine, but i get to fuck her first."

Syko scrambled to her feet as fast as she could when she heard the crack of Grims ribs and his wails echoing around her. The Fetid Baghnakhs she had grabbed before she left formed over her arms, completely encasing them apart from her hands while the blades extended nearly 46 cm in length, she didn't know what the heck attacked her but she knew what 'breeding' meant and she wanted none of that.

Without a word Syko threw herself at the nearest monster, because what else could they be and what would she even say to them, don't rape her? With all the accessories she had equipped she crossed the small distance between them with her right claw aimed at the furry leg. She was expecting multiple things to happen when the Fetid Baghnakhs connected with the monster, the blade getting stuck to the bone or not doing much at all considering the fucker looks like he weighs over 600 pounds.

She was not expecting the blades to slice through the leg like a heated knife through warm butter.

"Ahhhh!" Uyor roared as gravity took ahold and he fell to the ground, the stumb already spewing blood and turning the snow red.

The elf stumbled across the snow but recovered after a few feet. Now that she could get a better look at the monster the more it looked like a Yeti, which raises even more questions. Well regardless of that, Syko ran back to attack the Yeti like monster, seeing it trying to stand back up on one leg gave her an idea. Her boots thumped across the yeti's back and swiped again and again, ignoring the screams the Yeti released.

Crimson blood sprayed through the air as the snow roared around her and her once blue coat turned a completely different color.

"Brother! Noooo!" the other Yeti yelled somewhere to the right of her. Blood dripped from her claws as she snapped her eyes on the Yeti charging at her. "Rahhhhh!"

With a flick of her wrist she got a lot of blood off her claws, the Yeti was coming at her with a wooden club that was probably fashioned from a branch. Syko met the monster half way and attempted to block the club by crossing her claws above her with the claws facing outwards, i say attempted because the clubs head was shredded the instant the impacted the Fetid Baghnakhs blades. Privately Syko would later laugh at the expression the Yeti would make as it watched his club be neutered. With a right hook her left claw dug deep into the monster's side and probably shredded a few organs.

The monster collapsed as she ripped the claw out, disemboweling it. The Yeti looked at her with anger and fear, its mouth opening probably to give a discausting remark but instead found its head falling to the ground as the left claw lashed out.

Syko took a few steps back and sucked in deep breaths as she slightly calmed down from the fight. She doesn't quite know what she did beyond killing some monsters that wanted to violate her. Grasping the Goat skull from her waist she channeled some mana into it and watched as Grim's body disintegrate before her very eyes and his new one appeared to her side in a fiery burst. Throwing a leg over her Goat the elf soon left the rapidly cooling bodies behind her. Let whatever scavenger that finds the bodies deal with it.

(day 25)

Standing on top of a cliff Syko felt a tear form in her eyes as she looked upon the sight in front of her. Finally after eight damn days she has found some sort of Civilization, and they hopely weren't going to try to stick a dick in her. Well Syko says it took eight days but some of them she got lost so it should take her less time to get back. The town because what else could it be looked as if someone took the standard fantasy town from a book, made it more wintery and plopped it down just outside a large tree. She could see a few people walking around meaning it wasn't abandoned.

Syko guided Grim away from the cliff to what looked like the main road leading inside the town, Eager to find out where she was and what it was called.

As she entered the town the first thing she noticed was the few people she saw running away from her towards the big building in the center of town.

Leaning down she quietly spoke to grim. "Do you have any idea what they're doing?"

Predictably all grim did was snort and knock his head back. Sighing, Syko scratched the side of his neck as she directed him to head to what guess was the town hall. Outside she could make out the figures of 5 people outside of it, wearing what looked like viking armor. Like full on thick leather covered in fur pelts and knives.

4 of them were guys and one of them as a girl all wielding weapons that were pointed at her.

"Halt." What had to be the leader called out. Deciding to listen she pulled on grimms horns causing him to stop. "What's a foreigner like you doing this far in the everwinter tundra, especially during yeti season."

"Oh umm just trying to find out where i am and stuff. I'm kind of lost at the moment." Syko sheepishly said.

The leader cocked an eyebrow but lowered his weapon a little bit. "Lost you say and just how did you get lost is such a place as this."

"I honestly couldn't tell you, I woke up in a bigass ship a little over a week's travel from here with no recollection of how." Syko pointed in the direction of her ship, having claimed it via maritime laws and dibs. Not noticing the alarmed looks the 5 shared she continued. "Woke up spent nearly three weeks exploring around it before going off in a random direction. Eight days later I managed to find your town, and gotta to say I'm really happy i did."

"You didn't happen to see any yeti's coming here did you." The girl said, Syko really needed some names. "Tall, covered in white fur, not really smart, and probably said something about breeding you?"

Syko tilted her head but answered. "Yeah I ran into two of them, tried to attack grim here but I removed their guts before they could hurt him too badly. Why?"

The leader sighed but lowered his weapon. The other people lowered theirs as well but didn't put them away. Syko guessed the yeti's weren't friends with them if this is how they reacted.

"It's good you were not taken by the yeti's. They tend to eat their captives after they give birth a few times." The leader said as if talking about the weather, not really caring about the disturbed look she was giving he gestured for Syko to follow him. "I would say sorry about the welcoming party but we've had raiders trying to attack the town for the last few weeks so everybody is on edge."

The five of them guided Syko inside to what she believed to be the living room, it had walls covered in fur pelts, odd trinkets, a fireplace that was currently lit and bathed the room in warmth. The snow elf took comfort in the warmth and sat close to it.

"I'm Reginald, the mayor and guard captain when needed. This is my son, Jerald." The now named mayor said as he introduced the group. "Those two over there are Hurk and Greg And finally my daughter in law Tiffany. What's your name stranger?"

"Well it is a pleasure to meet you all, I'm Syko."

Tiffany was the first one to speak. "So what exactly brings you to these parts."

"I got lonely, for nearly a month the only person I've talked to is Grim and he's not much of a talker if you couldn't tell."

For the next two hours the three of them indulged Syko's curiosity and told them all about the country she found herself in. The twins left not long afterward telling the mayor they were going to let the rest of the town folk know the elf wasn't a threat. She didn't know whether to be insulted or not.

It was very informative to be honest, Syko somehow managed to find herself on the edge of a country that has been at war with a neighboring country for the last 200 years with very little, if any, signs of stopping. The fact there were monsters that raped, killed and all around be literal monsters was a bit of a shock.

Eostia, the country she found herself in, is ruled by seven princess knights and one was supposedly a reincarnated goddess called Cellestine. The seven princesses rule over the seven kingdoms, Feoh, Ur, Geofu, Ken, Rad, Ansur, and Thorn. Why it's organized like this she has no idea and according to Reginald that's just the way it's always been.

The town she had found, Lyrewood, was a frontier town just east of Ansur, around 5 weeks travel if you take the main roads.

"Before I leave, can you tell me where I can buy some spices?" Syko sheepishly asked while she rubbed her arm. "It's one of the main reasons I went looking for civilization, oh and if my money works here."

Reginald nodded and gave her the directions to the general store, but warned her it may not have the things she wanted. Sadly as it turns out her coins due to them not being Eostia made/sourced weren't worth anything unless she melted them down and sold the bars to a bank inside a city, something that is a long trip by anyone's standards. Thankfully however while she was coming to Lyrewood she had managed to find a small deposit of silver ore and had collected 30 small chunks just in case.

Entering the general store the Elf immediately spotted the man behind the counter reading a book.

"Excuse me you wouldn't happen to have any spices for meat would you?" Syko asked the older gentlemen.

"Hmmm spices huh i may have some in the back, give me a second." The gentleman said as he hubbled off into the back room. Syko took the moment to look around the store and see if there was anything she needed to get for her journey home. Vegetables are a must as are fruit but first she has to see if she can even trade raw silver for it. "Turns out I had a small box tucked behind some bags of barley, now are you bartering or do you have some cash. No offense."

Syko reached into her bag and discreetly pulled out a few fist sized chunks of silver from her inventory. She'll probably hit the silver vein up again on her way back and smelt it into small plates to trade with them until she can get a source of money.

"I don't have any Eostian currency on me but I do have some silver ore and some jewels if you're willing to accept them." Setting the ore on the counter she pulled out a few marble sized emeralds for him to look over. The shopkeeper hummed as he looked over the items. After a few seconds he nodded and told her this is more than enough and that she should probably grab some more items. Smiling, Syko grabbed some dried fruits and some seeds for vegetables.

Frost root was supposedly the main vegetable grown in the everwinter tundra, even this far on the edge, because it can grow year round and had a nice sweet aftertaste.

(Day 33)

'I have got to get a calendar the next time I'm in town.' Syko absently thought as she dug a hole in the ground before plopping a frostroot seed into it.

[End]

Not going to lie it was odd typing this out, the whole typing monsters wanting to stick things where they should not be put makes me feel weird. Don't know what to think of that to be honest. I really like the name I picked out for my insert for this, it sounds like Psycho which just sounds right with how i play terraria.

I originally thought about starting this long before the main events started, before the war started between the dark queen and the goddess reborn in fact but as I was trying to figure out how to do that, I instead thought about putting it just a few years before the rebellion. Like 5 max.

I also plan on having Syko get more involved in the main story so you won't have to worry about that but it probably won't be in the way you expect. That being said this story will be more realistic in some senses, as in my character has to eat. she will not be able to go 5 fucking days without eating and be perfectly fine so you will see eating scenes. I've done this somewhat in my other stories, TCOD Alicia's body starts to burn when he uses a ton of buff skills because of the sheer amount of magic he is both casting and applying to himself, SNPITD Layla has to eat a bit more than a human because of different dietary needs and is a little bit stronger than a normal human. There will be shitty medieval rations beware.
