Chapter 1: The Hunt Begins
Monster High
It was a pretty normal day at Monster High, the Ghoul Squad had just come from their Humanology class and thought about what they should do for the rest of the day.
"So, ghoul friends, what should we do today?" Draculaura ask.
"I don't know." Clawdeen answered "We haven't had any leads on any lost monsters for a few weeks."
"I've got it!" Cleo shouted, moving to the front of the group. "Let's use the Monster Mapalogue to travel to the beach!"
The other ghouls gave her a look and simply rolled their eyes. Cleo always wants to use the Mapalogue to go to places she wants.
"Cleo, you know the Monster Mapalogue is only suppose to be used to help find lost monsters, not go on vacation." Draculaura scolded her.
"But we've help many monsters." Cleo defended herself. "I just think we deserve some time for ourselves."
"Even so. Remember, the Mapalogue can't take us somewhere unless where trying to locate a someone." Frankie chimed in.
"Oh… right." Cleo grumbled.
As the group sat in the main hall, they noticed the school was bit… empty. Many monsters still roamed the halls but it felt like a few were missing.
"Anyone notice the school feels a bit on the empty side?" Frankie ask?
The other ghouls looked around and noticed the same.
"They could have just went home early?" Lagoona said as more of a question then a fact.
The other ghouls shrugged. Now that they thought about it, they haven't seen a few other students for a few days but it was a big school so they just chalked it up to them being in different places.
"Hey, ghouls."
The ghouls turned to see their friend, Ari the ghost.
"Hey, Ari" they all said.
"Have any of you ghouls seen Duce or Wreath? I wanted their help again with another one of my music videos."
"I haven't seen them since yesterday, mate." Lagoona was first to answer.
The rest of the ghouls said the same. It was odd, since those two always showed up to school, though it's usually the good around.
"Hmm, let's go check in with my father. Maybe he knows where they are?" Draculaura thought aloud.
"Good idea." Clawdeen said "Knowing those two, they probably got in trouble."
All the ghouls present giggled, knowing how Duce and Wreath could be.
"Well, if you find them, let them know I need their help." Ari said waving goodbye as she walked off.
Unbeknownst to the group, they were being watched by a hulking figure through one of the many windows. On closer inspection, the entity was a large metal man with a flaming green mohawk, and had a sinister smile and bright green eyes that followed Ari as she made her way away from the group.
"The hunt is on" he said, almost in a whisper.
Meanwhile, the girls made it to the library to find Dracula typing away at the computer.
"Hi, Dad!" Draculaura said, getting her father's attention.
"Ah, Draculaura, girls. What brings you here?" Dracula asked. "Another monster you need help locating?"
"Well, sort of." Draculaura spoke.
"Mr. Draculaura, have you seen Duce or Wreath anywhere?" Clawdeen asked.
"No, I haven't." He answered. "I actually just got in touch with their parents but they said they left for school this morning."
"Now that's odd." Frankie spoke up. "We've also noticed some kids didn't show up for the last 2 days."
"Your right, girls." Dracula agreed. "I noticed a few students didn't show, so I looked into it and some got sick and are home, but 10 that stay at Monster High haven't been seen."
This started to worry the girls. When Dracula brought up a list of the 10 students, they weren't kids the girls hung out with on a daily basis but still saw around on occasion. Duce and Wreath were added to the list now as well.
"Crikey, ghouls. I think it's time we used the Mapalogue to find the missing students." Lagoona said.
They all nodded in agreement.
"Well half to search for them one at a time since the Mapalogue can only go to one place at a time." Draculaura said
She extended her hand and the others placed theirs on the Mapalogue. "Duce Exto Monstrum!"
A tiny spark of purple light left the Mapalogue but nothing happened. The girls looked at each other, wondering what went wrong.
"Ok… Wreath Exto Monstrum!"
Again, a tiny spark of purple light left the Mapalogue but nothing happened.
"Now I'm really starting to worry." Draculaura panicked
They tried again using the names of the other students but nothing came of it.
"Maybe the batteries died?" Cleo suggested
"But we haven't been using it for awhile now" Draculaura wined.
"This is getting serious, girls" Dracula said worryingly. "If the Monster Mapalogue can't locate them, it means they might not be in this world anymore!"
"WHAT!?" all the ghouls shouted in surprise.
"But how can that be, Mr Dracula?" Clawdeen asked.
"I'm not really sure." He replied honestly. "But the Mapalogue can locate monsters all across the entire world. So if it can't reach them…"
"It means they aren't on this world anymore." Draculaura finished.
The Ghoul Squad started to panic, as the realization that some of their fellow students are potentially gone forever, and they have no idea where they are or how to find them.
The group were taken out of their panic when the sound of screams and a crash could be heard coming from another part of the school.
"What the heck was that?" Cleo asked worryingly.
"I don't know mates, but where going to find out." Lagoona said with determination. "Let's go ghouls."
Everyone raced to the source of the chaos to find a group of students surrounding another, Abbey Bominable, who was currently sitting against the wall next to the girls bathroom, holding her arm and looked to be in pain.
"Make way, I said stand aside" Dracula demanded as he moved through the crowd along with the Ghoul Squad. "Abbey, what happened?" he asked, kneeling down and looking over her injury.
"I was attacked, by another monster." She explained. "It was one I had never seen before. It took Ari, and when I tried to rescue her, it shot me in the arm with a beam of energy."
She showed her right arm and revealed a noticeable burn. The other students began to panic, a monster, one of their own was on the loss and had kidnapped one of their friends and attacked the other.
Multiple questions were asked by them, "Is the Monster responsible for the disappearance of the other students that they haven't seen?", "Are we safe here?", "What kind of monster was it?"…
The Ghoul Squad quickly went inside the bathroom to see the scene of the crime. They found large amounts of ice, clearly from Abbey, and several burn marks on the wall, likely from the mystery monster.
"Man, this place is trashed." Clawdeen stated the obvious.
"What kind of brute would do this to our restroom!" Cleo shouted, trying to look at herself in a broken mirror.
"Uh, ghouls…" Draculaura called for their attention. "You might want to see this."
They all gasped at the sight of a large hole in the wall leading outside. All of them wondering the same, what could have done this?
"This has gotten out of hand fast." Frankie stated. "We need to get a description of the monster from Abbey to try and get some idea if what we are dealing with."
"Girls!" Mr. Dracula called out to them from the doorway. "I'm taking Abbey to the nurses office to look over her injury. I need you to round up all the students and bring them to the main hall as quickly as possible."
They all nodded and got to work. Once everyone was accounted for, the girls tried the Monster Mapalogue to locate Ari but sadly, the same thing happened as before. With no other option, the girls rushed to the nurses office to find Abbey resting with a bandaged arm.
"Hey, Abbey." Frankie said, approaching the ice ghoul. "You ok?"
"Of course." She responded in her usual straight forward manner. "It will take a lot more than a little burn to stop this ghoul."
The Ghoul Squad smiled, happy that their friend was ok and still her usual self.
"That's good to hear." Lagoona said cheerfully. "We, wanted to know if you could describe the monster you saw take Ari, so we can track the creep down and save her and potentially the other students if they got caught by it as well."
"Let me think." Abbey began thinking how to describe the monster. "It was a large man made of metal, like a robot from those human movies, it had green fire for hair, and green eyes."
The description really confused the girls, as they haven't heard of a monster like that before, but they didn't interrupt her.
"And it seemingly created weapons from it's body." Abbey finished.
"I'm not sure what kind off monster we're dealing with here, ghouls." Frankie admitted.
"Same here." Draculaura sighed "Even with all my father's monster history classes, I haven't a clue."
"Can you remember anything else, mate?" Lagoona questioned Abbey.
"Actually." Abbey began. "When I used my ice powers, the monster scoffed and said, 'Your no, Danny Phantom'."
"Danny Phantom?" Cleo repeated.
"I've never heard of this, Danny Phantom before. Have any of you?" Clawdeen asked.
Everyone present shook their heads. This was the first time any of them have heard that name. It was likely another monster, and with nothing else to go on, the Ghoul Squad came up with a good plan and decided to tell Dracula.
"That's a horrible plan!" Dracula shouted.
"But Dad!" Draculaura wined. "We have nothing else to go on."
"Yeah Mr. D" Frankie started. "This Danny Phantom could be our only hope and finding this monster and the other student."
"It could just be another monster like the one we're dealing with now." Dracula countered.
"Dad, we have nothing else to go on." Draculaura sighed. "And if we don't do something, we'll never find the other students, the school will be closed, and who knows when the monster will strike again."
"Don't worry, Mr Dracula." Lagoona spoke up. "We've been through a lot together and got each other's back!"
"And if this Danny Phantom is dangerous, we'll use the Mapalogue to come right back." Cleo included.
Seeing the determination in their eyes, Dracula took a deep breath.
"Ok, girls. You can go." Dracula gave in.
The Ghoul Squad cheered, and high fived each other.
"But please." Dracula pleaded. "Be careful."
"Of course, dad." Draculaura nodded. "We'll be back before you know it."
The Ghoul Squad formed a circle, and Draculaura held out the Mapalogue once again. All together, they spoke "Danny Phantom Exto Monstrum!"
The girls were covered in a bright purple-pink light and vanished without a trace.
Amity Park, Illinois
Danny Phantom, Amity Park's own ghost superhero, was currently patrolling the city at night. It was summer vacation so he was capable of staying out a little longer than his usual time due to his parents enforced curfew.
So far, it seemed like a quite night for the ghost by. "Guess I better head home." He said, a little happy he didn't have any ghosts to fight this night.
However, as Danny turned around, he caught a glimpse of a purple-pink light in the distance on one of the roof tops. Deciding it best to investigate, Danny headed in that direction. His ghost sense had yet to go off so he started to think it could have just been some of the residents messing with some bright lights.
"Guess it was nothing." He shrugged.
But suddenly, an all to familiar icy blue mist left his mouth, and he was struck by a green beam of energy in the back. Quickly recovering, Danny saw his assailant was a monstrous ghost with horns, sharp teeth, and pulsing red eyes.
"Couldn't give me a break for one night, could you?" Danny grumbled.
The ghost just roared fiercely at Danny before charging at him, fully intending of ripping him limb from limb.
A battled began, Danny held the edge due to the Ghost being savage and easy to predict.
"Dude." Danny chuckled. "You seriously need to work on your aim."
Danny continued to dodge all of the ghosts strikes with a smile. However, Danny let his guard down, and the ghost quickly duplicated itself and attacked from multiple directions.
Before he could properly counter, Danny was hit from above and knocked down into an ally. As he recovered, he jumped back as the ghost slammed it's large fist into the ground were the ghost boy once was.
Danny called upon his ghostly energy and shot off multiple ghost rays, destroying all the duplicate ghosts. The original once again charged Danny and the two became locked in a physical struggle. Before either could make another move, their conflict was halted when the sound of another alerted them.
"Look out, mate!" An Australian voice clearly belonging to female called out from behind him.
As Danny turned to look behind him, He saw a fast moving teenage girl with long blonde hair with blue highlights, green eyes, and… blue skin? Running straight towards him with light aura around her. Acting just quick enough, Danny broke his spectral body down into pure energy, and slipped through the ghosts grasp, surprising it long enough for the new girl to deliver a swift jump-kick to it's jaw and slightly knocking it back.
When Danny reformed his body, he watched as more strange looking girls arrived and fought the ghost. As the blonde-blue haired, blue skinned girl ran circles around it to confuse it, another one, with black hair and pink highlights held in two ponytails, pink eyes, and pink skin transform into a bat, and release a disorienting sonic scream, causing the ghost to stumble back.
Another girl, one with wavy long brown hair with purple highlights, dog ears, and yellow eyes, transformed into a wolf and pounced on the ghost and knocked it down before jumping off. The next girl that attacked had straight and long hair that was black and white, with different colored eyes, and pale green skin, she generated a large amount of electricity and shocked the ghost, causing it pain.
The final girl had straight black hair with gold highlights, light blue eyes, and bandages around her arm and leg. She extended her hand, and the bandages around he arm extended incredibly in length and completely wrapped around the ghost in a tight hold. The ghost fell to the ground, seemingly defeated.
"That's a wrap." Cleo giggled at her own little humor.
Danny was just looking at them wide eyed, wondering who and what the heck were these girls, and where did they come from? The only thing he did know was that this was going to be a long night.

Author Note: Hello to anyone that reads this. This was the first chapter in my Monster High and Danny Phantom crossover. This idea just popped into my head after seeing the Monster High movies (Welcome to Monster High, and Electrified), plus the Ghoul Squad series which are all form the Generation 2 Monster High. This isn't going to be a long story, probable 3 to 4 chapters as I've got the story written out in my head. Anyway, please Read and Review.
