The Legend Of Issei
Chapter 1: Issei Awakens
Issei is a kind hearted young man who loves the occult, myths and legends of the world. He lives in the town of Kuoh with his mother and father well known jewel sellers who unknown to Issei have met and dealt with the very beings Issei loves.
Issei ran down stairs upon hearing his front door open. In the hall stood his mother and father who had returned from a business trip to the middle of Europe. Issei embraces his mother and father and begins hopping up and down on the spot
"You are a young man Issei not six years old you don't need to jump up and down."
Issei stops and frowns as his mother lifts a bag and hands it to him.
Its a fossilised dragon scale or so they claimed. Issei face lights up and has a huge smile on his face as he gingerly takes the scale in his hands. He runs back upstairs almost with his mother calling up to him.
"Don't trip and fall its pretty fragile!"
"I won't don't worry mum."
Issei's door slams shut and his mother shakes her head. His father just smiles.
"He is a good boy, there are worse things he could be obsessed about lets leave him to it."
Issei sets the scale down on his desk and begins to wonder what dragon did it come from and what was it like. Taking out his notebook Issei begins to write down the things description noting its size, shape, colour and a list of minor details. He checks the clock and decides that another hour of notes will do then sleep for school tomorrow.
As he continues his notes he hears a sudden crash from down stairs and quickly runs to his bedroom opening the door and running down the stairs. He found his mother and father standing confronting a group of people wearing various masks.
"Hey leave them alone!"
The mask wearers turn towards him as both his mother and father curse. His father takes out a golden coloured gem from his pocket and crushes it taking a deep breath he begins to glow with a golden aura. Crashing into two of them and hurtling them through the wall before going after them.
"Run Issei! The basement get the horn you know the one I mean!"
Issei's mother utters words Issei doesn't understand as six balls of flame stuck the remaining attackers. Issei takes off towards the basement knowing the horn in question. One of raiders turns to follow him as they dodge an attack from Issei's mother.
Issei throws open the door and it slams against the wall bouncing back as he already half way down the stairs and barrels through a second door. Issei enters a large chamber which is fill with special gems and other ancient artifacts and sees the horn in a display case. Issei makes a break to it as the masked attacker bursts into the room and throws something at him. Panicking and stumbling the thrown object smashed the class case holding the horn but missed Issei.
"No where to run little boy hand me the horn."
Issei reached out and took the horn struggling to stand up his legs shaking, Ossei gets to his feet and shakes his head.
"My mum said so no… Even if I am scared and going to die I won't give it to you."
It was at this point Issei knew he was going to die and tears begun to run down his cheeks. The attacker steps forward laughing behind that mask. A very nasty dagger appears in his hand and he takes a step forward and Issei places the horn behind his back.
"Even scared witless you are being defiant, I will remember you little boy. Defiant to the end."
The masked killer hesitates as large golden eyes appear behind Issei, a menacing aura springs up around the teen. It was then the tables. A large red scaled arm ending in talons strikes the attacker in the face sending him back wards.
"You made a big mistake trying to take out my master."
A large red scaled male humanoid steps in front of Issei. Horns adorned his head furled dragon wings on his back and even had a tail. He gives Issei a thumbs up before stepping forward and picking Issei's attacker by the throat. Prying the mask off the would be attacker Issei had to look away or fall into madness.
"You can see can't you puppeteer? I am Ddraig and I am coming for you, feel your minion burn."
Smoke begins to rise and flesh begins to burn, Issei's attacker screams in Ddraig's grip. Issei scrambles away from sight and smell when the body is reduced to nothing but ash. Letting go Ddraig turns to face Issei and Issei tries to scramble away noticing the horn is gone.
"Easy Issei easy. I was the one imprison in the horn you freed me I bound to you now. Lets go find your mum and dad and see how they are everything will be explained then."
Issei nods and runs to the stairs as Ddraig fades away and vanishes, Issei finds his mother standing in their front yard surrounded by bodies. Issei runs into his mothers and fathers embrace.
"Oh my little Issei you are ok did they get the horn?"
"No no mum and about the horn."
The space behind Issei begins to shimmer and Ddraig reappears behind him with a massive taloned hand resting on his shoulder. Issei's parents step back ready to fight.
"Be at peace, Issei's own power freed me from the horn and we are now connected. It would be best you relocate and quickly. It was him, you two of who you speak."
Both Issei's parents relax and nod. Ddraig then turns to Issei and a large feral grin splits his face.
"Now let us go Bondsmith your mother and father should be the ones to deal with the fall out."
Issei nods and turns to his protector.
"Where do we go though?"
"Its ok son, we have a place to go to."
Issei's father tosses him another set of keys. Issei looks them over the as his dad jots down something on a piece of paper and hands it to his son.
"They key's are magically locked to members of our family. You will be safe there, go quickly we will follow in a few hours."
Issei turns to look up at Ddraig who nods.
"Ok it is time to go then. I have had too much excitement for one day."
Issei collapses on the floor from exhaustion. Ddraig picks him up and nods cloaking himself and Issei, Ddraig steps out into the front yard and unfurls his wings taking to the air. His goal protecting his bondsmith and defeating the Evil King.
