An: So this is just a note for everyone who has followed this story. I know its been a loonnnngggg time and I am really sorry. A bunch of stuff happened and then the world went all the hell. I have no real excuse but please know I plan to continue with the new version of this story. I will post part of the first chapter below this until I can get the rest done since everyone has been soooo patient. I really do appreciate it. There are some very noticeable differences so if you no longer want to read I understand. Please know this is just a part of the chapter. There is no telling how long the rest will take me but be just a bit more patient with me. I would appreciate it. Thank you all! I don't own anything recognizable.

Sky Full of Stars

Chapter One:

An Immortal Meets an Open Sky

Pt 1

Kawahira was tired, that was his first thought when he woke up one obscenely bright Tuesday morning. He stared up at the dark gray ceiling with a bored look on his face. This was getting tiring.

"Just another day in paradise." he muttered before getting out of bed.

He quickly changed and went to open his shop of antiquities that he had collected over the many centuries that he had been alive. The day seemed to drag on for hi, most people were sent away from his door. Only those with flames could even see it but even then only those that needed the door could come in so normally it was very slow and he just waited around playing with Mist flames. He was in the back room messing with an Ancient Greek scroll when he heard the soft jingle and it was followed by a massive wave of bright, playful, and very very young feeling Misty-Cloudy-Sky flames.

"Hewwo?" a soft little voice called and he walked out and met a pair of bright amber colored eyes that made him blink owlishly.

A little blonde girl was standing in his shop. A little blonde girl with big amber eyes was standing in his shop. He blinked some more. Nope. The little blonde girl with big amber eyes and flames floating around her was still in his shop, looking up at him. Her flames ventured forwards and poked at him. He could tell when she was older her flames might be strong enough to even pull him!

"Hello μικρός ουρανός. How can I help you?" he asked after taking a moment to reel his own curious Mist flames.

She looked around blinking owlishly before wandering over to him. He realized exactly how small she was standing next to him. She barely came up to his thigh and he was a bit taller than average. She also wore a pair of pink short overalls, a lilac shirt, and pink shoes.

"Chi-chan lost mamma!" she cried before throwing herself at his legs.

He stumbled slightly as she gripped his legs tightly amd started sobbing. Her flames spun around her in her distress and he softly patted her head reminded for a moment of Sepira's child.

"Alright. Calm down. I will help you find your Mother." he stated.

Big bright amber eyes gazed up at him and she sniffed. He lifted her easily and she locked her arms around his neck.

"Chi-chan is Chi-chan mister!" she chirped.

He smirked in amusement and walked out the door. Nobody even paid him any mind. They couldn't see him anyways.

"I am Kawahira, little one." he muttered as he walked towards where he could feel her flame trail lead.

Now that he thought about it he had felt her flames a few times recently, she must have activated them somehow within the last few weeks. He could also feel distressed lightning flames up ahead.

"Kawa!" she chriped making him tense slightly and his mind flashed to a little black haired girl with amber eyes staring up at him.

His mist flames slowly disappeared from around him and the little girl just as the distressed lightning flames rounded the corner. He blinked as the infamous Nana Manomaru rounded the corner with a look of absolute worry on her face. The retired femme fatal looked almost hysterical.

"Chiyo! Chiyo-chan! Oh thank the Gods!" she practically screamed as she saw them.

He felt his passenger's flames respond before the girl could verbally respond and smirked slightly when his little charge relaxed slightly.

"Mamma!" she cried wiggling out of his arms and running to her.

He watched the duo reunite with a sense of bitter sweetness. The young mother lifted the toddler into her arms and her lightning flames surged around the young Sky but did not harmonize. Even at this young the girl's sky flames were too much for the lightning.

"Chiyo how many times have I told you to stay with me?" Nana said sternly.

The little girl looked down at her feet and shuffled before looking up.

"But mamma! The pwetty wights wead Chi-chan!" the young girl cried.

Both of the adults stiffened in surprise and glanced at each other. He tried to act like he assumed it was just a child imagining things as Nana's faintly glowing eyes ran over him.

"Indeed. Thank you for finding my daughter sir." she whispered.

Kawahira nodded and smiled at the two of them.

"Not a problem. Be careful Miss Chiyo not every one you meet is as nice as I. Have a good day." he stated tweaking her chin and turning to walk off.

Nana stared at the man's back for a moment and opened her mouth to say something but was interrupted by her daughter.

"See wayter Kawa!" she yelled.

Kawahira paused as he felt the flash of her little flames and could feel the sheer stubbornness in them as they brushed up against his flames. He gently pushed her flames back and turned to look at the girl. She had a bright smile on her face and waved at him.

"Of course." he stated softly before walking off.

He went back to his store ignoring Nana's calls after him and slammed the door. He slid down it as memories best left as forgotten things ran through his mind.

A young bright eyed girl giggling as he spun her around.

Sepira laughing from her spot on the grass as the small girl knocked him to the ground.

"Promise to look after her Kawahira. Promise me."

"I am sorry that I cannot be your Sky Kawa."

"Kawahira!"

The feeling of warm liquid splashed on his face and body as Sepira jumped in front of the attack meant for him.

"Kawa it wasn't your fault."

"Kawahira, I love you. Always."

"Kawa. I love you."

He slammed his head back into the door with a scream of rage and stared up at the ceiling. Everything in his shop rattled as his flames surged around him.

"Fuck." he hissed.

He grunted and stood up. He shook his head to get rid of the memories and took a deep breath.

"Its a ramen kind of night." he grunted before walking to the phone to place his order.

-Meanwhile Sawada Residence-

Nana tucked her daughter into bed and kissed her forehead. Her sweet sky child was still riled up a bit from eariler today but was laying down for her so that was a start.

"Mamma! Stowy bout wove!" she cried happily.

Nana paused and prushed her daughter's bangs from her face with a smile.

"Alirght my precious girl. There once was a beautiful young woman who was a spy. She was a powerful woman, any mission given she would complete. One day she got a mission. Go undercover as a waitress and meet a particular man. Well the young woman met this man and instead of fighting him the young spy fell in love! She returned to her home and told them she could not complete the mission they gave her and left the spy business. She went back to working as a waitress waiting on her handsome man to come back and he did! The two quickly got married and had a lovely little Princess and they all lived happily ever after." Nana recited the story from memory, with a few things left out.

Her daughter's eyes were bright and filled with adoration.

"Wow Mamma! So coow!" she cheered before yawning and snuggling into her pillow.

Nana smiled in amusement and kissed her daughter's forehead. She stood up and walked to the door.

"Goodnight Chiyo. I love you more than there are stars in the sky." Nana stated.

Chiyo smiled and hummed happily.

"Chi-chan wove you to Mamma." she whispered before closing her eyes.

Nana walked from the room, shut the door, and walked down the stairs. As she walked past the living room she noticed a picture of her and her husband. It was one of the wedding photos she had and always made her smile when she saw it.

"Silly man. He is lucky I am so in love with him. No other woman would put up with these shenanigans. Construction work. Bah! At least the Triads had better excuses. The mafia must be slipping." she muttered under her breath as she walked into the kitchen.

She glanced out the window into Namimori and gave a snort before shaking her head. There were loud sirens and screams of terror. She spotted some Hibari lackies running around.

"Men." she muttered softly before turning the light to the kitchen off and walking from the room with her hand on her slightly distended stomach.

AN: This will be the only chapter with Chiyo talking with her little lisp except if there are flashbacks so don't worry about that. The greek is "small sky" according to Google. The next chapter will be out soonish. They will get longer after she meets Reborn and are in chronological order. She is about two here. If you notice there is a part 1 under the chapter title. This is on purpose. There will be two parts to her meeting important people in her life.
