A/N: This is a companion piece to my first story 'Earths greatest Champion: Son Gohan'. It's set before the WMAT and focuses on the daily lives of Gohan, Zangya and a few others. If you haven't read the main story, then this story won't really make sense. If you don't want to read the main story, here's a quick recap on the story. Gohan beat Bojack and his gang, spared Zangya and now she lives with the Son family while helping Gohan fight crime as the Gold fighter. She owns a bakery, loves cake and is naïve when it comes to earth culture. She is still a teen in my story and so Chichi enrolled her in school. Enjoy!

Disclaimer: I do not own DBZ or any other material that is referenced in this work.

Chapter 1: First day of school.

"PLEEEASE! Can we just go on a patrol instead?" Zangya gave Gohan a pleading look as they flew towards her first day of school.

"I don't understand why you're so nervous. You aced the entrance exam, you got nothing to worry about." Zangya had taken the entrance exam for Orange star preps' high school division. She had done so well that even though it was in the middle of the year, they still allowed her to start classes right away.

"Well, you earthlings are so far behind you're still teaching basic skills like trigonometry in high school. It's not that complicated. We learned it before we were ten on Hera. Also, isn't that just proof that I don't need to go?" Zangya countered hopefully.

"Sorry Zangya, not according to mom. Come on, it'll be great, you'll see."

Zangya grumbled incoherently. She remembered how Chichi had tried to convince her that she needed to go to school. She wasn't too keen on the concept of school in general even on her home planet. She especially didn't like the earth way of doing things. From what she could gather, it sounded an awful lot like prison. She really couldn't understand why Gohan liked it so much. They had classes, and tests and worst of all, shudder, HOMEWORK. Not only that, but there was also the dreaded Student council! Apparently, they held absolute power and wielded it with an iron fist. Ruling from the shadows, they enacted unjust laws on the student population while they enjoyed a luxurious breakroom with fancy snacks and comfy couches. They never had to go to class and, worst of all, they kept all the cake to themselves! Horrible! Don't ask where she got this information *cough* 18 *cough*. She did not want to fall under their despotism. The only thing that made the thought of school somewhat bearable was the prospect of being able to hang out with Gohan more. When she found out that she would not only be in a different grade than Gohan, but they wouldn't even be in the same school building since the high school and junior high were divided. That was unacceptable for her and she flat out refused. Of course, by flat out refused, she really just begged and pled with Chichi to not make her go. It didn't work.

Gohan's next sentence brought her out of her grumblings. "And another thing," Gohan's cheeks turned a light shade of pink. "That uniform really suits you." Gohan had tried not to ogle his friend, but it she was incredibly attractive in the plaid skirt and white blouse.

Zangya smiled at the compliment. "Thanks, at least it's better than what 18 tried to have me wear."

"Why? What was she telling you to wear?" Gohan asked and now it was Zangya's turn to blush.

Flashback

18 and Zangya were sitting in her bakery chatting. Zangya had asked 18 about what high school was like and, even though her experience was interrupted due to being kidnapped and experimented on, 18 had regaled her with all that she needed to know. It was about as accurate as you would expect coming from someone like 18. "And that's why you need to stay clear of the student council."

"Wow, sounds intense."

18 nodded while trying to hold in a laugh. She couldn't wait to see how Z having this misinformation would turn out. "So, she's really making you go to school?" 18 asked and Zangya nodded.

The Cyborg laughed. "Haha, well, that's Chichi for you. I still can't believe you're only 16. Especially considering how mature you are." 18 reconsidered her statement. "Actually, your maturity matches your age pretty well."

"Hey, I am so mature. You know what kind of life I lived, and I'm also a successful restauranteur. That takes maturity."

This word 'mature' gave the cyborg an idea. "Sure, whatever you say. So, do you have to wear a uniform?"

"Yeah, I'd rather just wear my normal clothes, but I guess it could be worse." The Hera shrugged.

"Well, I know a place that you can get a great deal on a uniform. Half off even." The cyborg said without a hint of irony.

"Oh really? Sounds great, we haven't bought the uniform yet so that would be cool."

"You wanna go now?" 18 asked hopefully.

"Yeah sure. Hey Chico, mind the shop while I'm gone ok?" Zangya addressed one of her new employees, a teenage girl with brown hair.

"Sure thing boss!" Chico replied excitedly.

A short time later, Zangya and 18 were standing outside a familiar shop. Zangya turned to look at 18 with a skeptical look. "I thought that you said this was an underwear shop?"

"Well, yeah, but they sell other things here too." Not technically a lie. "There will definitely be a school uniform in there."

They walked in. "Welcome to Elizabeth's secret. Can I help you find anything today?"

"No thanks. We know what we came for." 18 and Zangya walked coolly past the girl and the cyborg led her friend to where the item was located.

"Wow. No wonder it's half off." Zangya said as she saw the uniform. It was a definitely a uniform of sorts. The white blouse barely covered the chest and the skirt barely went to her thighs. "I mean, there's barely anything there. The socks are really long though, so that's something. At least my legs won't get cold."

"Yeah, that's definitely the reason for the long 'socks'." 18 replied. Good thing for her she had an amazing poker face because Zangya didn't sense any deception at all. "You wanna try it on? I'll take a picture and send it to Gohan for you if you want."

"No, that's ok. It says one size fits all. I'll just show him when I get home." Zangya grabbed the package and went to check out.

18's face broke into a rare grin. "Even better. Gohan you lucky boy."

End flashback

"Ahem, don't worry about it." Zangya looked away from her younger friend. Luckily, Chichi had walked in while she was trying the 'uniform' on and put a stop to it before she mistakenly wore the revealing clothing out in public. 'I'm definitely getting that blonde back for that. Maybe make her wear cheerleader outfit. Actually, that sounds like it might be fun.' Of course, her anger at her friend didn't stop her from keeping the outfit once she found out its' true purpose.

"Anyway, we're here." Gohan said as they approached the high school building. The campus was right next to the Junior high section, but it was much bigger. "Alright, you got your lunch? You know where you need to check in?" Zangya nodded reluctantly.

"Ok, I'll see you after school is out. Then we can go on a patrol, ok?" Gohan headed off toward his school to get to class. Zangya waved sadly to her friend and heaved a long sigh.

"Huuuuh… Well, guess I'll just get this over with." She walked through the doors and into the lion's den. As she walked through the halls, she had the eerie feeling that someone was watching her, which, in fact, they were. The stares of every boy were glued to the blue beauty as she strode through the school and their girlfriends slapped the back of their heads angrily. She made her way to the front office and spoke to the lady at the front desk. "Excuse me,"

"Yes?" The lady replied, then she looked up, "Oh my goodness! You're… You're the Red Z girl! My daughter is such a big fan!"

Zangya grinned. "Aw gee, thanks!"

"Uh, d-do you think that I could get you to autograph something for her?" She asked hopefully.

"Autograph?" Zangya asked with confusion. She'd never been asked for an autograph before.

"Oh, it would just make her day!" The woman beamed.

"Well… Sure, why not." She took a piece of paper out of her bag. "Who do I make this out to?"

"Could you write, 'To my very good friend, Macaron."

"Huh, good name." Zangya wrote the autograph and handed the paper over. "Um, could I get my schedule by the way?"

"Oh, you're a student here?" Zangya nodded and the woman became flustered. "Oh, my goodness, I am so sorry. Here what's your last name?" The woman started shifting through papers.

"Um, it should just be under Zangya."

"Oh, right, here it is!" She pulled out a sheet and handed it to the orange haired girl.

"Thanks, um…" She looked at the timetable in puzzlement. "Where's this room?" She pointed to her first class. Just then the door opened and a tall, blonde haired boy with delicate features walked in.

"Oh, Gem, could you help this girl find her way around?" She said before going off to find something to protect the precious autograph.

The blonde looked at Zangya with a lecherous gaze. "Oh, my, it would be my pleasure. Tell me my lovely," He grabbed Zangya by the hand and kissed it. "What might your name be?"

"Zangya." She replied stiffly, clearly put off by his flirting.

"A pleasure Zangya." He tried to kiss her hand again when he felt excruciating pain. Zangya was gripping his hand hard and looked down at him with a friendly smile as he sunk to his knees in pain. "Try that again, and I'll tear your lips off." She said cheerily.

"Gah! Wait, Stop! I'm sorry!" Zangya released her grip and the boy pulled away. "Geez! Are you crazy!? Just wait till the president hears about this!"

At this, Zangya's expression went neutral. "President?"

"That's right! You can't just assault me! I'm vice president of the student council!"

The hera warrior frowned and her eyes narrowed dangerously. She spoke in a low and deadly tone. "Student council you say?"

1 hour later.

Chichi and the headmaster were walking speedily through the halls. "Thank you so much for coming so quickly Mrs. Son. We really just didn't know what to do. Since you're listed as her primary contact, well… I mean, this sort of thing has never happened before!" The headmaster said worriedly.

"I still don't understand. I mean, Is Zangya ok? She isn't hurt, is she?" Chichi replied.

"Well, it's uh… I… To describe it would be… I really think you should just see for yourself." The Headmaster was sweating bullets as they finally came to the cafeteria doors and opened them, revealing a sight that Chichi was definitely not ready for.

In the center of the cafeteria, stood a giant mountain of tables, strewn with the unconscious, but still breathing, bodies of student council members. On the top of this mountain was Zangya. She held the school flag in her hand and was waving it around while hundreds of other students were cheering her on.

"WE HAVE OUR RIGHTS!" She shouted. "NO LONGER WILL WE BEAR THE YOKE OF OPPRESSION! THROW OFF THE CHAINS THAT DRAG YOU DOWN! YOU ARE FREE! VIVA LA LIBERTE!" To this the students watching responded with "VIVA LA ZANGYA!"

"Zangya!?" Chichi yelled in disbelief.

"Oh, hi Chichi…" She stopped her tirade and waved casually to the woman like they were meeting in the park. "Where was I? Oh, right. NO LONGER WILL WE HAVE TO BOW TO THE WHIMS OF A CORRUPT STUDENT COUNCIL! NO LONGER!

CAN YOU HEAR THE PEOPLE SING!?

SINGING A SONG OF ANGRY MEN!?

IT IS THE MUSIC OF A PEOPLE

WHO WILL NOT BE SLAVES AGAIN!" Zangya had started to break into song, and this was all Chichi needed to realize that she had probably made a mistake enrolling the girl in school without Gohan to keep an eye on her.

"So, I'll just withdraw her from school indefinitely, then shall I?" Chichi asked with a nervous smile.

"Yes…" the headmaster replied. "Yes, I think that would be best."

"After all, she does have the bakery to fall back on."

Break.

"I can't believe your mom grounded me." Zangya complained to Gohan.

"I can't believe you got the entire student body to go along with disbanding the student council. You were only in school for like, an hour. You really know how to work a crowd." Gohan said in amazement. "You do know that the student council doesn't really have any authority, right? They just plan dances and stuff."

Zangya smiled while shaking her head. "Oh, Gohan… Sweet, simple Gohan. That's exactly what they want you to think. That's why it's called the 'shadowy student council'.

"Actually, it's not called that, but ok. How long are you grounded for?"

Zangya let out a sigh. "She didn't say. I guess the bright side is I don't have to go to school anymore. The downside is I can't go out until the grounding is over."

"Won't that affect your bakery?" Gohan asked.

"Oh, I'm not too worried about that." Zangya waved his worry away. "I got that covered."

"18?" Gohan raised an eyebrow.

"Nope." Zangya shook her head.

"Then who?"

At the bakery.

BOOM!

Chico and her temporary boss were standing in the kitchen covered in cake batter. "So, um… How much experience do you have in baking?"

Broly looked at her. "I've eaten cake before." He said sheepishly.

"Eheh, right…" 'Please come back soon miss Zangya!'

End chapter

A/N: Join us in the next chapter for Broly in the bakery. Chico is the girl from the DBZ filler where Gohan meets the orphans. Not a major thing for the main story, just thought it would be fun for Zangya to employ cute girls as her business expands. Also, I think that red Z girl would have a lot of fans who were young girls, hence the autograph scene.
