Chapter 1
Yua froze.
Just as Satoru approached her, before his mouth could even open, she turned towards the field Itadori liked to rest in. "Something's wrong…" she said.
"Those storm clouds weren't for ambiance were they?" Gojo asked of her with a grin on his lips.
However, the look she gave back at him, made that smile vanish instantly. "We have to go, now!" she ordered.
From there, she was unstoppable. She rushed through the village, towards the field just as she felt a powerful barrier lift. Yet, her heart froze the moment her eyes came upon them.
"Yuuji… Suiryu…"
She ran to them, but saw the damage done.
"Y… Yua… I don't… I don't feel so good…" Suiryu moaned as he wrapped his arms around himself. "I… I couldn't do it…"
"Suiryu…" before she could reach down to try and comfort him, he gently brushed off her hand. He shook his head and turned to Yuuji.
"Please… if… if you can help him…" he said weakly.
She paused but understood. Yuuji was back to how he should be, yet he still had no teeth and his voice was still gone. He looked to Yua with a tried look in his eyes. "Yuuji…"
'I'm tired Yua, just… so very tired…' then, his voice went silent for good. He couldn't make a single sound anymore… not even a whimper.
Her heart broke.
Yua turned and saw Satoru standing there, he appeared stunned and worried as his blindfold came off. "I've… I've never seen anything like this before…"
"The energies are too diverse to be absorbed, as well, the dragon energy… it's too much for them to control…" Yua said gently. "Let's get you boys someplace to rest."
"On the bright side… Yuuji will have a bed again…" said Suiryu in a weak tone.
Even now, he's trying to make light of the situation to help Yuuji. Whether it worked or not…
"Satoru, call Choso and the other brothers. They need to be here for them."
He didn't hesitate. Yua waited for him to return with the curse wombs, until then, she sat on the grass, repositioned herself and the two Itadoris so their heads could rest on her lap. She saw Yuuji tear up, his body trembling for what has happened, and what will happen next.
She knows it's a death sentence.

Gojo was fast. She will give him that. It also helps that the brothers are very concerned for each other's well being.
He rushed to his brothers inspecting their condition, but even Choso appeared at a loss. "Do you feel anything?" Yua asked of him.
His hand… trembled.
"My… my connection is greatly strained."
Suddenly, the others looked pale. Sho came forward and began to lift Suiryu off the ground. Tanso came in behind him and took Yuuji. "We need to make them comfortable." Called Eso.
"Bring them to the hospital ward," said Choso. "We don't have much time left."
#
By the time they got them into a bed. The black cracks over their bodies spread. Suiryu… his eyes closed and never opened again. "I'm blind…" he said bluntly. "Well… I suppose it could have been worst…"
Yua was trying everything, reverse jujutsu, a healing method she learned from her family records, just something to bide some time. But, in the end, it wasn't enough. She did the energy test and found all energy was being repelled out of the body. Nothing was sinking in, which meant all healing would be resisted.
Yua turned to Choso and the brothers, but shook her head. "I'm so sorry…" she said. "I… I tried everything I could think of…"
Choso's hand gently went on her shoulder, he gave but a nod of thanks for trying. "When the connections severs from me like this, there is no going back…" he whispered to her. "This… this is the end isn't it?"
"I'll let you guys have some time alone okay? Suiryu, Yuuji, I'll be back a little later…"
She was about to leave, but felt someone grab her hand. She turned and saw it was Suiryu, doing so out of desperation. "Stay," he simply said. "Please…"
Looking to the curse wombs, they all nodded to her and smiled. They want their brothers comfortable. So, she took a seat between Yuuji and Suiryu, holding their hands as they tried to resist the pain they were in. The brothers were silent, none of them could bring themselves to speak a word of this, and yet. They stayed in the room with them.
"Not to sound ungrateful or anything, but… can we please have some time with Yua… alone?" Suiryu asked.
Choso nodded to him. "Come brothers, let's honor their request."
They left without argument. When the door closed, Suiryu's lip quivered. "I don't want to go out like this…" he whispered. "I rather have died at Yaga's side than to die like this, it's pathetic!" he protested.
She turned to Yuuji who was just as frustrated. She could pick up his emotional state. After everything he has endured, been through and suffered with. It was for nothing in the end. "This is my fault." She whispered.
Tears soon began to flow from her eyes as well. "This is all my fault. How could I have done this to someone so young!"
"Yua…"
"If I didn't break Ryujin out, I would have absorbed that curse Sukuna put on it, had I planed it better, I should have let the bastard who betrayed me take it all, not just the brunt of it! Had that happened, I could have maintained Ryujin longer, long enough to figure something else out!" she protested. "This is my doing…"
Her left hand was squeezed, she turned and saw Yuuji, forcing a smile. "Don't give me that look, Itadori." She said in a warning tone.
"Yua, this may have been the catalyst for our demise… but it wasn't your doing. Mistakes were made. None of us knew about the body thief's hidden weapon. We didn't know the divine users were going to sacrifice him to kill Yuuji to get the dragon out…"
"Those assholes went that far?!" she demanded.
Suiryu nodded. "Yeah, Ryujin did… what he thought would save Yuuji's life. But in the end… it merely bided us time."
"What about you?" she asked.
Suiryu grinned oddly. "As much as I hate to admit I don't want to die like this… at the same time, it's a fair death."
She saw Yuuji peer over. Suiryu snickered. "Is Yuuji looking at me funny, I have a feeling he is."
"Good guess," Yua said. "But Suiryu, how is this a fair death?"
"Considering I was never meant to be alive to begin with… considering I came from an asshole bastard and yet, managed to help those around me than to kill them… for the most part anyways." He muttered the last part. "But Yua… I'll die knowing I did all I could with the life I had. Yuuji should see this as a fair death too. Despite the shit we went through and put up with. This… feels like a peaceful death."
"Suiryu…" she whispered and held their hands tighter. "Anything I can do?" she asked.
"You're here, it's all I wanted… again… this feels oddly right to me, at the same time… Yua… I don't think I have much time left."
She nodded to him. "I'll got get some cool water and cloths, I'll stay with you until the end." She promised.
