As the red haired pirates sang, danced and or got drunk. Their captain "red hair" Shanks is talking to a young boy who will change the world someday. And his name...

Hey Shanks. You think I'll become a great pirate like you someday? Asked Luffy.
It really all depends on how strong you have become Luffy said Shanks.
Then I'll just get stronger and stronger until I'm strong enough to be like you someday Shanks said Luffy with a smile.
I'll drink to that kiddo said Shanks as he drank some of his alcohol.
Just then the bar owner Makino came out to refill Shanks cup.
Thanks Makino said Shanks to the owner of the bar.
Anytime captain Shanks said Makino as she walked back to the back of the bar not knowing that Shanks was looking at her but.
It's been a few years since those two got together and secretly became a couple.
As Shanks was looking at his girlfriend's but. Luffy has found a small chest next to him. He opened it up and saw a strange fruit in it.
Hey Shanks. What's with the strange fruit? Asked Luffy as he holds it in his hands.
Shanks stopped looking at his woman's but and saw Luffy with the fruit.
Careful Luffy, that's a devil fruit, who ever eats one will have a power and will never be able to swim again said Shanks.
Really?. So if I ate it what will I get? Asked Luffy.
You will have the power to eat anything or anyone. That's the power of the munch munch fruit said Shanks.
What else can you tell me about it? Asked Luffy.
Rumors have it that you'll be immune to hungry for the rest of your life. But your still needing food to not die from hunger Luffy. I also heard that if you eat a cannon, you can turn any part of your body into a cannon. That and if you eat a person, you get to mix their straight with yours said Shanks.
I see said Luffy as he eyes the fruit.
You best know what to do next Luffy said Shanks.
*Munch!*
Shanks looked to where he heard the sound of munching. Only to see in horror that Luffy was eating the fruit.
Yuck said Luffy as he was swallowing it.
Luffy, the hell did you do that for?! Screamed Shanks at Luffy.
I want to be strong so that I can be just like you someday said Luffy.
Shanks quickly calmed down knowing he and the crew lost 20,000,000 Barrie's.
Welp I guess that's that. So what now Luffy?, You going to train your power now? Asked Shanks.
Yep said Luffy.
Shanks sighed at that.
Very well then, try not to over do it ok Luffy? Asked Shanks to Luffy.
Ok said Luffy with a smile.
Just like that the crew party on some more until night fall.
After that the red haired pirates left the island to travel to the great unknown.
As for Luffy...
He had to face his grandfather's wrath once again.
His grandfather monkey D Garp forced him to eat a cannon so he can turn his arms into cannons, along with some cannonballs.
Next Luffy was going up against a giant bear. It took everything out of Luffy before finishing the bear off with that big mouth of his.
Next day Luffy was forced to live with bandit. Which led to Luffy meeting two boys named Ace and Sabo. The three boys became brothers.
Until one day Sabo decided to run away so he can get free from his family. Only to get shot at by a world noble.
After seeing this Luffy Decided to show no Marcy to evil people.
After hearing what happened to Sabo Garp decided to train Luffy in the ways of the six power master skills and to see which types of haki Luffy has.
As the years go by Luffy learned to use soru, geppo, iron body and paper arts. He even learned to use the three forms of haki.
After turning 17 it was time for Luffy to set sail to the great unknown.
(At the docks)
Luffy is wearing a white button up shirt, black pants, and black boots.
Welp time to head out said Luffy as he stepped onboard his small boat.
As Luffy sail's away he starts to feel something below him.
Just like that a giant sea king shows up out of the water.
So the rumors about you are true huh? Asked Luffy with a smile.
The sea king roars at Luffy.
My turn said Luffy before releasing a small bet of haki onto the beast.
Just like that the sea king ran away from the island never to return again.
Just like that Luffy set sailed some more.
I wonder how big my crew Will be? Asked Luffy to himself.
