"This is the life, eh, Daisy?"

"Yeah, Donald. It sure is."

Donald Duck and Daisy Duck were on wooden sun loungers on the former's big boat. Donald was wearing a red and yellow Hawaiian shirt and a straw hat while Daisy wore a strapless dark purple one-piece swimsuit with a pink sarong skirt around her legs and a sun hat. And they were drinking coconut milk through straws out of half coconut shells.

The ducks had spent two weeks exploring the Dominican Republic for their second trip together. They loved seeing all the lovely beaches, the beautiful palm trees, the gorgeous waterfalls, the tall striking mountains and the fun activities they did. Even with Donald, having bad luck as usual, failing at most of the activities, they had a great time together and they could laugh at the same time together. That was something that neither of them had ever done before with anyone else in their whole lives. And another good thing was that because they came in Donald's boat they could sail and visit any part of the island whenever they like and didn't need to spend money and time on hotels (another thing that Donald's Uncle Scrooge approved off or would have if he ever said it).

The romantic ducks both agreed that this trip was better than the first one they took last year and they both felt it was one that they both earned from their busy lives. For two weeks, Daisy was glad that she didn't have to worry about pleasing Emma Glamour and Donald was glad that he could have a break from his busy family at McDuck Manor and all the fast, dangerous, whacky adventures he had with them.

It was nice and quiet without the kids. The last trip they took last year was around the world and they brought with them two young ducks called May and June after Donald helped his family defeat the evil Director Buzzford and his evil organization F.O.W.L. Though the young ducks were great company, Donald and Daisy decided that they weren't ready for kids, despite the former having more experience raising kids like he did with his nephews Huey, Dewey and Louie. He even had more experience raising them than their own mother Della Duck, who was his twin sister. But the good news was that May and June still lived in McDuck Manor and could play and go on adventures with Huey, Dewey, Louie, Webby and their friends Lena and Violet.

Donald and Daisy loved visiting the Dominican Republic that they decided to sit on their sun loungers and see it one last time before they sailed back to Duckburg. They even held hands as they watched the beautiful island and drank their coconut milk.

"I've really enjoyed this trip, Donald," Daisy said.

"And so have I, Daisy," Donald said. "But my most favourite part of the trip was being with you."

Daisy started to tear up with joy. "You really mean it?"

"I do." Then his beak was greeted by a kiss.

"And spending time with you has been my favourite part of this trip as well," Daisy said.

"Aww," he said, blushing.

"Donald?"

"Yes, Daisy?"

"I think I heard something."

"Like what?" A rusty axe landing near his feet was not what Donald expected.

The ducks looked up to see their boat had stowaways onboard. They looked like monsters wearing pirates' clothing, including pirate hats, pirate eyepatches, pirate boots, pirate ripped pants and jolly roger shirts under their pirate battered coats. They looked like sea monsters of all kinds, no matter the shape, size or level of scariness. They had faces of the most terrifying marine life. Some had shark faces, some had angler fish faces, some had eel faces and some had kraken faces.

"Come on, Daisy!" Donald cried. "Let's scram!" He grabbed her and they tried to leave, but they were greeted by pirate swords all around them. They couldn't escape.

"Sit back down!" one of the pirates yelled.

Two even knocked the ducks down onto the sun loungers.

"What do you sea monster pirates want?" Daisy demanded angrily.

"We only seek information."

The trapped ducks looked ahead to see one pirate approaching them, who had a face like a leopard seal.

"Are you the captain of these freaks?" Daisy asked.

"Captain Breeze, at your service." The captain grabbed Daisy's hand and tried to kiss it, but she yanked it free.

"Eww!" she moaned.

"What information do you want?" Donald demanded.

"The location of Hubert, Dewellyn and Louis Duck," Captain Breeze replied.

"Huey, Dewey and Louie?" Donald cried. "What do you want with them?"

"That is none of your concern."

Donald quacked his angriest quack. "I spent more than a decade raising them while their mother went to the moon and their father – Well, I don't even know who the father is – but my point is you do not – I repeat NOT – tell me that they are not my concern!"

"Well, if you won't tell us willing, we will get information out of you, one way or another." Breeze snapped his tentacle fingers.

The trapped ducks saw that the sea monster pirates get closer to them.

"Tell me you have an idea to escape these sea freaks, Donald," Daisy said.

Donald thought. "I have only one."

"Then let's do it."

"Get onto my sun lounger."

Daisy was very puzzled. "What?"

"I said, get onto my –"

"I heard what you said, Donald! I just don't see how –"

"Trust me, Daisy! It's the only way!"

Daisy did what she was told. Then she got wrapped up by Donald's arm. She hoped his plan would work as she saw the sea monster pirates getting closer to them.

"We've got you now!" said one of the sea monster pirates, as they approached the trapped ducks.

"Good luck trying to escape us!" another one mocked.

Then Donald reached for a lever near him and pulled it.

"Throw the net now!" Breeze yelled.

The two pirates who held the fishing net threw it, but it just hid the wooden lounger that the ducks sat on. It didn't even have them on it.

"Captain, they've gone!" one pirate reported.

"Well, don't just stand there, your morons!" Breeze ordered. "Search the whole ship! Find them!"

The pirates spread out and started to search the whole ship.

After a few minutes, one pirate, Lieutenant Seaweed, who had an angler fish face, reported to Breeze. "We searched the whole ship, every bolt and screw, and the ducks not on this ship

Breeze growled angrily. "How could they escape?"

"I don't know, sir," Seaweed replied.

"You don't know?" Breeze roared. "You've got a light blub hanging above your head and you don't have any bright ideas?"

"It's called an esca or illicium, sir. And I've never considered –"

"I don't care! Just find those ducks!"

"I've found them, Captain."

Breeze and Seaweed ran to a pirate, who had a shark face and was pointing out to sea. They looked ahead and saw a speedboat speeding away. He saw the two ducks were on them.

All the pirates were worried about what Breeze was going to say or do and they were very surprised when he just chuckled.

"Do you want us to go after them, sir?" Seaweed asked.

The captain just smiled. "No, Lieutenant Seaweed. They were clever enough to escape us, but I would like to see them try to escape the rest of the fleet."

"Shall I even alert Admiral Beakship?"

"No. Let's stay out of their personal business."
