It was another day in Konohagakure.
Birds were chirping, flowers wer blooming, and Team 7 was being tortured once again by D-rank missions.
The mission this time? Well it was: To walk a dozen dogs, big and small.
Uzumaki Naruto obviously chose the biggest one to display his strength, Uchiha Sasuke and Haruno Sakura both chose small dogs, and Hatake Kakashi...well he was reading Icha Icha Paradise. Like usual.

After being dragged through dirt, splashed in river water, and chased in circles, the rest of Team Kakashi decided that Naruto had his energy drained enough. They brought the dogs back to their owners, and the Haruno and Uchiha went to their separate ways, with Kakashi and Naruto left to leave.
The Kyuubi jinchuuriki was laying on his back, asleep, covered in water and excess dirt while his silver haired sensei was with his back against a tree a few feet behind.
Kakashi looked up. It was getting dark. He put his book in his pouch. Quietly walking to the sleeping kitsune, the jounin picked up the genin in his arms. The Hatake shunshined to his youngest student's apartment. He opened the door, and stepped inside. Creeping through the rooms carrying the resident gently, Kakashi opened Naruto's bedroom door. He lifted the covers, placed the boy on the bed, and put the blankets on to his chin. Hesitating, he placed a light kiss on Naruto's forehead before leaving.
A few minutes later a pink hue appeared on the blond's cheeks. Naruto opened his eyes.
'Kakashi-sensei...'
And he spent the rest of the evening internally screaming.
