Hello, everyone, Dylan here, I'd like to just make a few notes about this story before y'all start reading.
Firstly, this entire story is co-written by three people. Chris, Raj, and myself. Those are not exactly our names, but we deemed them good enough to use for this story. Another note is that this takes place in the My Hero Academia universe, but is not necessarily going to be partnered up with the main plotline all that often. I guess we'll see what we do with that.
Anyways, thank you all for listening, and enjoy!
Raj here, just wanna add some stuff. I have no knowledge of MHA, I'm only doing this because Dylan and Chris want to (but I am interested). Also, yes, Raj is my name in this. What does that imply? I'm Indian, deal with it. (Clarification: Indian origin, born and brought up in the US of A) If Dylan and Chris allow, I'll make sure to make references for all my Indian brothers and sisters out there. Okay, that's all. Bye.
Chris here, I started this. Period.

(Dylan's POV)
Do you ever get that feeling right when you wake up, where there's that dry taste in your mouth and a painful headache that dominates your senses? I think it's when the human body doesn't get enough water, and is crying out about its dehydration. Well, let's just say that I'm getting that feeling tenfold right now.
I'm in a dark room with little visibility. I sit up and try to remember how I got here. Last I remember, I was with my friends on our bus ride home. But… I can't recall much after that. There was some loud horn blaring, and then a sudden jerk… and now I'm here. What happened?
Pushing aside that thought for the moment, I get up and try to focus on my surroundings. It's dark and musty here, and the humidity is making my skin swelter. Lucky for me, I'm still wearing my shoes, so the puddles of water on the ground are no match for my stompers. Unluckily, however, I still can't see crap and slip over some wetness below me.
Apparently, the sound I made of utterly failing to do simple human things like walking awakes something not too far from me. I shudder in anticipation. The groaning it's doing is making my skin crawl.
"Dylan, what the hell are you doing?" my friend from school, Christian, asked. From the sound of his voice, I can tell that his head is killing him just as much as mine is.
"Chris, do you have any idea where we are? I can't see crap," I mutter tiredly. "Weren't we just on the school bus?"
Chris sits up and gives me the 'I'm too tired for this shit' look, then replies, "All I know is that our bus got hit right when you joked about a car crash. You're lucky we're not dead, or I would have killed you again."
Great, we're off to a great start.
"Would you two stop arguing? There's actually a chance we're in danger here," Rajesh, another one of our friends complains.
"Yeah, screw that noise, we're definitely gonna die here," I retort.
"Relax, we're not going to die. You just haven't tried yet," he says.
Chris puts a hand on Raj's shoulder and shakes his head. "Heh, it's cute you think that," he says, amused.
"Look, are we going to just sit around and talk, or are we actually going to get out of here alive?" Raj yells back.
"Sheesh, we can do both, my guy," I say, putting my hands up in surrender.
"Whatever. This is why you don't pull, Dylan," he grumbles. What did he just say about me?! "C'mon, let's find a way out."
Ugh, fine, I guess we can do that. Chris puts on his backpack that was leaning against the ground and starts trekking in a random direction. Wait, how come he gets his backpack and I don't?
"Raj, why does Chris have- WAIT YOU DO, TOO?!" I cry out in distress as Raj fits his bag on his back as well. "WHY AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO GETS HANDICAPPED HERE?!"
Well this blows. I'm walking alongside these morons and I've got to hold everything I've got in my hands! They won't even let me borrow their baggage space. It's fine, I'm not mad or anything. I'd never be mad over something this… frickin'... TRIVIAL. Ugh!
Regardless, we're nearing some light outside of wherever the hell we appeared in. There's a good chance it'll open up to somewhere where we can assess our situation. We run into the light and… SLIP. Yeah, uh, we may have forgotten to slow down before we exited the cave. A huge puddle of water that lay at the entrance of the cavern was obscured by our inability to adjust our eyes to the light quick enough.
So now here we are, slipping and sliding down the slope of this sucky mountain, trying to get a hold onto the rocky slabs that are stabbing into our skin. Or, apparently, just my skin, because the two next to me are enjoying a fun sledding down an icy, snowy track, while I'm suffering through this crap.
"STOP ENJOYING YOURSELF, I'M IN UNIMAGINABLE PAIN." Dylan retaliates.
"Oh, suck it up. We're nearing the bottom of this mountain, anyway," Chris dismisses my agony.
"Yup, get ready, we're about to hit the bottom!" Raj yells in excitement. WHY IS HE HAPPY?!
"OH NO NONO NONO NONO NONO!" Yeah, you guessed it. We are fast approaching the end, and a huge pile of snow awaits us to cushion the fall, but as we get closer, a problem arises: A huge freaking tree.
Slam!
As the other two enjoy the nice and comfy snow, my face is plastered to this dumb bark. Why is it always me?!
"Hey, Dylan, get your lazy butt over here. We're not going to wait on you all day," Chris shouts at me.
"Yeah, we're going to look for a nearby town or city!" Raj exclaims. Really? They really don't care that my skin is literally attached to this wood. It's like the tree loves me or something. Can't say it doesn't make my head buzz, though. That might just be the intense pain, though.
Chris, Raj, and I set off on our expedition to the nearest town. Unfortunately, truck-kun wasn't kind enough to supply us with our cell phones, so we couldn't find our way home. Besides, there probably wouldn't be any reception around here anyway. So while we randomly wander around, looking for some sign of civilization, Raj has the greatest idea freaking ever.
"Hey, let's split up, gang!" Raj declares, his finger pointing to the sky.
"What the fu- no! Why the hell would we split up in the middle of this fucking winter wonderland. For all we know, there isn't life here at all. I'm not about to die alone," Chris reprimands him.
"Yeah, what the hell, Raj. I know you're not the brightest, but uh, that's fucking retarded," I comment.
"I don't need your help putting him down, Dylan," Chris glares at me. "You're just as much of an idiot as he is."
The one time I try to back him up, he does this…
Well anyways, let's focus on the road. It's starting to get really cold out here, I'm glad that we all wear jackets on the regular. Actually… what's that in the distance? Is that a pillar of smoke?
"Guys, y'all seeing this?" Raj interrupts my thoughts.
"Yeah, it looks like a fire," Chris agrees. "And a lot of it. That's a sign of people."
"So we all are in agreement that's our destination?" I ask.
"Yeah, obviously. Get your head in the game, Dylan," Chris mutters as he and Raj walk past me. W-what?
Why am I the third wheel to this crap?!
Several minutes of walking later, and we get close enough to see where the smoke is coming from. And yeah, it turns out that's definitely a fire. And Chris was right, it's a hell lot of it. In fact, that's probably because the fire has an entire town to fuel it.
Holy crap, the town's on fire!
"Woah, what happened here?" Raj mutters. I shake my head. I have no clue.
Chris gets abnormally close to the fire. Is he even okay? I walk near him, but the heat starts to burn my skin. Heck, whenever Raj gets near, the fire cools down next to him. I swear, these two are polar opposites and yet they still team up to make my life hell.
Speaking of hell, I try to find what caused this abomination of Satan. By no means could a place like this get smothered by a fire so easily. After all, it's so cold!
Just as I think that, we hear a scream echo from a distance. It's coming from… inside the town?! Holy hell, I think shit's about to go down.
"Guys, did you hear that scream just now?!" I babble panickily.
Chris and Raj put on a determined look, like they were going to investigate what caused this. Why are they so calm about this?! WE JUST GOT TRANSPORTED TO THE MIDDLE OF FUCKING NOWHERE! AM I THE ONLY ONE THAT IS STILL SURPRISED BY ANYTHING ANYMORE?!
"C'mon. We need to see if the people are alright," Chris says as he makes a path through the flames for the rest of us.
"Er, uh, the scream sounded like it was coming from the middle of town," I say. Raj nods.
"Uh, there were screams, right? Does that mean people are still in there?" he asks.
"I think so," I reply. "It's just what I heard. Raj, set down your backpack and get ready to start carrying people. There might be some who are injured." He looks concerned, but agrees.
I don't know why I'm all of a sudden so calm, after all, every single one of my nerves are acting up at the moment. But I know one thing for certain: These people need our help.
"Chris, you have the highest heat tolerance out of all of us. Try looking around for people, but stay out of houses. It's too dangerous that they could collapse on top of you."
"What're you going to do?" Chris asks.
"I'll be mapping out the escape routes. It's a possibility that the fire will spread and block our exit, so I'll find other ways to get out of here."
"Got it!" we all yell, and we go to work.
First, Chris sees a family struggling to get out of their house. Then, he helps pull them out and gives them to Raj, who carries the ones that are too weak to stand on their own. Finally, Raj follows me to my route I have planned. Eventually, we set everyone outside of the town's perimeter. Chris found some unscathed blankets and provided them to the poor people.
And so we worked like this for a while, but our good fortune eventually ran out. See uh, remember how I called this fire "hell's fire"? Well, it would just so happen to turn out that I was more right than I thought I was.
The cause of this fire was anything but natural. An insane tornado of flames whisked the rooftops and beared down on our capabilities to help everyone. Chris, Raj, and I looked at each other and nodded. We knew we had to take this fiend down.
"Guys, whatever is causing the fire tornado has to be somewhere around here. We should split up and search for the culprit," I say, pumping my fist.
"Yeah, make sure to alert the others if you find him. And don't take any risks! We all need to stay alive," Chris backs me up.
"Wait, why the hell is it that when I say we should split up, y'all are mad at me, but when Dylan says it, it's PERFECTLY FINE?!" Raj cries out. Heh, idiot.
"Whatever. Let's get going," Chris says, pulling on some fingerless gloves. Wait, where'd he get those from? "We've got a village to save."
(No one's POV)
The three of them split off from the center of the city. Dylan runs through the street, with heaps of burning buildings around him. Chris takes a higher route, jumping over burning debris and climbing up falling buildings. Raj dodges and weaves through the flames, ignoring any and all repercussions by repelling the fire from his body. Eventually, they meet up at a common point.
"Guys, I think I see something in the sky," Raj points out to the others. "Look, it's like a flying fireball!"
The three of them look up and inspect the glowing object of interest. It shines a deathly light of flames onto the houses, and in a flash, obliterates the top of the other buildings in the area. The heat wave hit them, and Dylan and Raj went to find cover. However, Chris just stood there against the blast wave of air.
"Guys, it's not that bad. Wait, where'd you two go?" Chris asks. "We've got a battle to fight!"
"How did you not feel that?! We were hiding and it still hurt- agh whatever, you're right, let's finish this guy!" Dylan yells, jumping around trying to disperse the heat on his body.
"I don't know about you guys, but how the hell are we supposed to fight a giant ball of gas?" Raj points out. "I don't even think it's physical."
As if just to prove him wrong, said 'ball of gas' reforms and takes the shape of a person. The man, now floating in the sky, walks down to the highschool students and waves his arm. The blast of heat that comes from it is enough to knock Dylan and Raj off their feet.
"What do you want? Why are you doing this?!" Chris yells in defiance. "These people are suffering because of your actions!"
"Hehehe, oh you children. You don't understand a single thing that's going on here, do you? So much of this world is just going over your heads. Well, no matter, because I'll crush your heads anyways!" He screams a battle cry before charging up a huge ball of fire. Then, he releases it.
"Go fuck yourse-", the gigantic flame wheel hits Chris dead-on.
"Chris!" Dylan and Raj yell in dismay. They really believe their friend died in front of them.
"Y'know, you should really wait for people to finish talking before fighting," Chris says, waving his hand as the fire sinks into his skin, being completely absorbed.
"Haha, Chris is hot now," Raj jokes.
"Wah- HOW?!" Dylan screams. "WE JUST SAW YOU DIE, WHAT THE FUCK?!"
Chris holds out his hand, and a solar glow starts to form on the tip of his palm. "Nice shot, big guy. But now it's my turn." The solar glow increases tenfold, and the heat from it becomes even hotter than the fire surrounding them. Once it turns bright red from the heat, he releases the charge at the villain, blasting him away.
"Ha, Chris sure burned him!" Raj jokes.
"AM I THE ONLY SANE ONE LEFT HERE?! CHRIS SHOULD BE FUCKING DEAD!" Dylan literally screeched.
Chris blows on his finger, as if to cool it off. "Pretty cool, huh?" he says.
The response is a combination of Raj nodding his head and smiling while Dylan freaks out and cries.
Suddenly, the air around them turns grim once again.
"YOU FOOLS, DID YOU THINK YOU COULD DEFEAT ME WITH JUST ONE BLOW?! I'M HERE TO END THE FIGHT BEFORE YOU CAN FIGURE OUT WHY YOUR PATHETIC LIVES WILL DIE," the suspicious man shouts in anger.
"Well, looks like your newfound powers are super good at pissing him off," Dylan comments at Chris as they prepare for battle.
"Thanks! I was trying," Chris smiles.
Raj steps up in front of the two of us, now closer to the fiend than before. He grips his hand tightly and looks to the sky above us. "Good. It's nighttime," he grins.
Chris crosses his arms as he looks up in the sky, while Dylan is just straight up confused, but they let him because he can handle himself.
He stretches out his arm and closes his eyes. A familiar feeling rises in Raj's gut. It's like a pull of energy, and the energy flows into his arm and wraps it thoroughly, becoming like an arm guard around his sleeve. His other hand comes up into a position where the lunar-like power starts to gather. Slowly, it shapes the form of a bow and then solidifies.
Raj's smirk could not be wider now. With his free hand that's not holding the bow, he pulls back the string and aims. But the flame man is not letting him be this time. He flings another fireball their way so as to prevent Raj from firing.
Chris runs up and jumps, intercepting the flames and absorbing them. His skin starts to glow a fiery red at this point, and if someone were to look into his eyes, they'd see a crimson shine dancing in them.
Thanking Chris, Raj lets go off the string. An ethereal arrow appears out of nowhere, shining brighter than the moon, and flying at high speeds toward his target. The man actually looks afraid for a moment, and then nothing.
Like a candle being blown out, the villain's very essence is ripped apart.
Raj turns to the other two and smiles. "Guys, I think we might have powers."
"Nah, maybe?! I thought we were just in creative mode for a second there," Chris snarks.
"Uh-uh, you two have powers. Where's my shit? Why are we isekai'd and I always draw the short stick!" Dylan yells.
"Heh, your stick definitely is short, not gonna lie," Raj comments.
"Shut the fuck up," Dylan groans.
Unbeknownst to them, a sinister evil starts to reform from its resting place.
"Hey guys? If we just killed the dickhead, why're the fires still here?" Raj questions.
"I think we might need to keep an eye out. There's no telling if he's still alive after that," Chris says calmly.
Dylan gets an idea and puts his hand to the ground to listen.
"Uh, Dylan? What the hell are you doing?" Chris asks. "We have to get a move on."
"Just, just trust me on this one," Dylan says, barely a whisper.
The sound of nature filled Dylan's ears. He could hear the insects chirping thousands of miles away, and he could sense the local wildlife sleeping. The plants in the surrounding area were sleeping, but he could tell they enjoyed his presence.
"Uh guys?" Dylan speaks up. "I think I may have just become a vegan."
"A virgin? We already knew that," Chris retorts.
"No, a vegan! What- not a virgin!?" Dylan stumbles over his words.
"So what's your point?" Raj asks.
"Well, if y'all got sick fire and ice powers, I think I've got nature," Dylan replies. "It's like I can feel everything in nature, just by listening to the ground."
"Are you high?" Chris asks.
"Yes."
"Damn. I want what he's having," Raj says.
Dylan rests his hand against the ground once again and sits there for a moment. A minute or so passes, and then he stands up. "I think I know where we can find the asshat."
"Well that's convenient," Raj comments.
The three follow Dylan towards a pile of rubble laying on the ground. Chris's eyes widen as he realizes the remains of their foe are underneath it.
"Hey Chris," Dylan smiles, "Watch this."
Vines appear from the ground and grow around Dylan's body, then wrap around the pile of rubble, breaking it into smaller pieces. They lift the man from the rubble above the ground and lock him into place. Despite the flames, the vines did not allow the man to move, and Dylan's grinning showed. They hear thunder in the sky and see lightning crackling in the night sky and continue to progressively thunder more. Then, the lightning hit the man and electrocuted him. It continues nonstop for nearly a whole minute until the man actually dies. All that is left are his ashes on the ground, as they are blown away in the cold wind.
"Wow, you actually killed that man," Raj said, shocked.
"Congratulations, we killed a man that was tormenting a town," Chris remarked, "To be honest, he did deserve it."
"Yeah, team effort! High five, guys!" Dylan jumps up, excited. Raj is too shocked at what just occurred to join in, but Chris gives a halfhearted high five. "C'mon, y'all's team spirit needs some work."
The three stand in silence for a while. The fire dies down around them until the smoking ruins of the town are all that remain. Raj droops his head and laments, "We should've gotten here sooner."
"We did all we could. That's the important part," Chris counters. Both are still saddened by the loss that happened today.
Dylan, however, is still beaming uncontrollably. "Holy shit, we have powers!" he yells.
"Yeah, we kinda noticed," Chris says, starting to get irritated at his enthusiasm.
"As awesome as that is, you're a bit too excited for someone who just watched people's homes burn down," Raj replies.
Dylan looks at the ground around them and sighs. "Yeah, you're right, guys. Sorry."
