Chapter 1: Her Nono
After Kurt and Blaine's funeral, no one could get two-year-old Liza Marie Anderson to stop crying. It wasn't until after, Noah Puckerman, took her in his arms, and put his forehead against hers. That she started to calm down and asks, "Why dis happen, Nono? Why bad men hurt you? Why bad men kill Dada and papa?!"
Noah was mute now, due to an attack overseas, a month before Kurt and Blaine were killed. So, he couldn't answer her, yet they didn't need words at this moment. All they needed was each other, and nothing else mattered.
Then Liza Marie says, "Nono, take room peas. Me no like here. Me sad, need you." Soon she just breaks down as Noah takes her to her room.
An hour later, Noah sent Quinn a text saying, "Babe, tell Mr. H Liza Marie is asleep, and I can't leave because she is laying on top of me, right now. Ha, I tried to a half-hour ago, and she said in her sleep, "My Nono, no leave!'' God, she is so much like Rachel."
Rachel, who was looking over Quinn's shoulder, shouts, "I saw that, Puck! God, being mute hasn't changed you one bit!"
Then Santana says, "Yea, well, I hope your shouting doesn't wake up Liza Marie. Because she is like Puck when someone doesn't let her sleep."
Soon Santana gets a text from Noah saying, "I'm mute, not deaf, Satan. Now, shut it! Liza Marie is not like me! She is an angel."
Another hour later, Noah comes out with Liza Marie and goes to the kitchen making two loaded bacon sandwiches.
As the others watched them eat, it was Beth that said, "Ha, he is my daddy, and she is my niece. Yet, both of them can't see how alike they are. I mean, yea, she is like Rachel, but I have seen her acting like him more in the last six months."
Rachel is about to say something to Beth, when Liza Marie says, "Mean Beff, your dada, not mine!"
Beth just looks at Noah and says, "He is your dada now, Liza Marie. Your dads felt bad because he had to give me up and made a mute gigolo your only godparent. The son of a bitch, hasn't even told his girlfriend Quinn that he is gay now!"
Noah stands up and glares at Beth before he texts Burt. Who gets in Beth's face saying, "Puck was raped Beth! He is not gay! He was raped!" Then he shows her the text from Noah, before she starts to cry, and runs out of the house.
After this, Noah and Liza Marie go back to her room. Then everyone hears Liza Marie say, "My Nono, not hers! Big meanie, hate her!"
Quinn says to Burt, "Blaine told me that Kurt only chose Puck, because he was the only one that could handle her."
Then Rachel says, "Ha, he was right. Plus, Puck spoils her. Ha, after a doctor told Blaine she was underweight, he took her to Puck's house for a week's stay, and when he took her back to the doctor. He was told she gained twenty pounds. I don't know what she ate, though, because the only fattening thing in his house is bacon. The rest of it was food people on Keto diets ate."
The others just laughed at her and Santana says, "Rachel, bacon is in the Keto diet."
Liza Marie was the first to come out of her room, as she was holding Noah's hand, and says as she looked at the others, "Sorry leave, hurting heart. Want Nono, want grandparents. Miss dads, Nono helps. You hurt, make sad."
Rachel tries to speak, before Liza Marie screams, "No, go! Want Nono! Not you! My Nono, not Beff's! She left! Dads gone! Want Nono!"
Soon, Noah picks her up and Burt says to Rachel, "Your daughter lost her dads and has a bond with Puck. Now, you want to take her away from him like Quinn did Beth?! Rachel, if you do that, it might hurt her more!"
Liza Marie screams, "My Nono!"
Before, Jake comes up to Rachel and says, "I never got to choose who my dad was and hated the fact I wasn't wanted by him! Puck grew up knowing our dad left his family for my mom! Kurt and Blaine didn't choose to leave Liza Marie! They were taken from her! Mr. H., is right, if you take her from Puck it will hurt her more! Now, like Liza Marie said, go, she has Puck, and doesn't want you!"
Soon Jake is about to leave, when Liza Marie says, "Uncle Jake, stay peas. Nono's bubba, still family. Papa's bubba in heart. Speak for Nono. Okay?"
Burt laughs as he says, "Ha, Jake, I think she just wants you to stay because she doesn't want me to have another heart attack being Puck's voice."
That night, Noah was sleeping in Liza Marie's bed with her, when she started having a nightmare. There was no way to let Burt and Carole know because all her stuff was packed away. So, Noah just held her close as he hummed.
The next day, Noah sent Burt a text saying, "How the hell am I going to take care of Liza Marie. If I can't fucking talk? This is crazy! I mean, I'm learning sign language, but not everyone understands it, and texting or writing things down can get old fast. Plus, having you or Jake talk for me makes me feel like a baby! She had a nightmare last night and I had no way to tell you!"
Burt chuckles as he texted back, "You didn't talk much in high school and let your fists do most of the talking for you, Puck. Ha, hell, Lou Ferrigno didn't talk in The Incredible Hulk TV series."
Noah goes into the living room holding Liza Marie as Burt sits on the couch reading his newspaper. Then Noah grunts and Carole says, "Honey, really? I can't believe you said that to Puck."
Burt looks up from his newspaper, as Liza Marie sits next to Noah on the couch, and says, "Look, Puck, I know it's going to be hard, and I'm sorry you feel like a baby. But you can do this, we all believe in you here."
After Burt says this, Quinn comes in and says, "Sorry, Mr. and Mrs. H., but I need to ask Puck something, and it can't wait."
Then she knelt down on one knee and pulls out a ring box before she says, "Noah Elijah Puckerman, I know the man is supposed to ask here, but I'm not waiting until you get your voice back. Anyway, Noah Elijah Puckerman, Will you marry me?"
Noah shakes his head, yes, and Quinn puts the ring on his finger. Before putting a small ring on her own, then Burt says, "That's Elizabeth's and my engagement rings. Where did you find them, Quinn?"
Quinn looks at Burt and says, "In that box of Finn's things you gave to Puck."
