Ford was working on a handheld portal device that could transport the user to any dimension. Ford was going to help Dipper to use it once he was old enough, but in the meantime, Dipper was going to practice using it.
Dipper was given the device and was now trying to practice.
"Careful, careful..."
Mabel was lurking in the dark, waiting to suprise Dipper.
"HELLO!"
Dipper fumbled with the device. It fell to the floor.
"Mabel you just made me drop my... wait, NOOOOO MABEL DO YOU JUST REALISE WHAT YOU'VE DONE?!"
Mabel shruggs it off as nothing, completely oblivious.
"Mabel, that was a mini handheld portal device! IT CONTAINED A DIMENSIONAL RIFT!" Dipper freaked.
"Oh."
The portal device announced "Going to dimension C49WATCHFIC618."
Dipper and Mabel both look at each other and scream.
Meanwhile...
The mayor was introducing a brand new town hall but most people by now were looking at the familiar sight of a rift. Everyone was screaming as the mayor was trying to calm everyone down. A silhouette shaped like a robot could be seen in the rift.
A zipping sound could be heard as the rift closed once everyone was sucked in.
