The All Valley tournament had ended and Cobra Kai was declared the champion dojo with the victory in the skills competition, after that, Eli Moskowitz (aka Hawk) won the male tournament, tying the dispute, everything then depended on the female tournament, Daniel and Johnny even teamed up to help Samantha in her fight against her biggest rival Tory Nichols, she fought really well, but in the end, Tory was the winner, thus giving the victory of the tournament to Cobra Kai, to make matters worse, Daniel and Johnny made a bet with Kreese that if they lost they would close their dojos, moreover Miguel went to Mexico City to look for his father, a very bad man, Johnny now has the mission to go after him and make sure he comes home safely, meanwhile, Daniel was at the cemetery talking to his former sensei, as if apologizing to him.
Daniel: I did everything I thought was right, I followed all of Miyagi-Do's teachings, I even put aside my rivalry and joined Johnny... but nothing worked, now I have to give up my dojo and stop being a sensei, but there's a lot at stake to honor a deal made with men who have no honor, if Cobra Kai is going to keep growing and getting stronger I have to do what I can to stop them... even if that means having to going on the offense...
Daniel then looks away and next to him was none other than another of his former rivals, Chozen Toguchi.
Daniel: I know this is not your fight and I know it's a lot to ask... but will you help me to finally put an end to Cobra Kai?
Chozen is silent for a few seconds, but then he says something.
Chozen: Yoshi. (no, he wasn't referring to Mario's dinosaur friend, it's a Japanese expression, like he's saying 'Hell yeah')
That same day the Cobra Kai dojo was celebrating its victory at the Kyler Park's house, among them were the two finalists, the male runner-up Robby Keene and of course, the female champion Tory Nichols, after the end of the party, she and Robby were talking.
Tory: This party was great, don't you think?
Robby: Yeah, all thanks to you, you won the tournament for us.
Tory: Don't worry, I'm sure you'll win next year.
Robby: Yeah, about that...
Robby wasn't sure what to do, seeing Kenny giving Anthony a beating after the tournament, Robby realized that Kenny was being corrupted by Cobra Kai and that was not what he wanted, not for himself, nor for Kenny, on the other hand, him and Tory really got along and she would probably stay at Cobra Kai after her win, but then he decided to tell her what he was thinking.
Robby: Tory, look, I... don't get this wrong, it has nothing to do with you but... I'm thinking about leaving Cobra Kai.
Tory: What? why?
Robby: You know, before I came here my dad and I talked and I think we can finally get along again and... I don't want to ruin this, I hope you understand.
Tory's answer shocked Robby, he wasn't expecting this.
Tory: You know... I was thinking about leaving too.
Robby: Really, why?
Tory: Personal reasons, my mom is getting worse and worse, as much as I like karate I think now I should focus on her and my brother, I'm going to put karate aside for a while.
Tory still hasn't told Robby about what she saw, Terry Silver bribing the judge for Cobra Kai to win, but she didn't want to tell anyone yet, primarily because she didn't have any proof, she just saw Silver doing what he did and secondly because... if she told let's say to Amanda Larusso, what would happen then? it would be like she was admitting 'I can't beat Samantha on my own' and she was too proud to admit it, so for now she would keep that secret to herself.
That night, Daniel came home with Chozen and Amanda saw them both.
Amanda: Finally you've arrived... (she sees Chozen) oh sorry, you are?
Daniel: This is Chozen Toguchi, him and I are... old friends, I called him here because after we lost the tournament... (he sees that Samantha didn't react well to hearing that phrase) no, Samantha, I don't meant...
Samantha: I... I'm sorry.
Daniel: No, it wasn't your fault, well, as I was saying, this guy understands Miyagi-Do even more than I do, so he's going to teach the students new techniques so we can finally put an end to Cobra Kai.
Chozen: Hai, Chozen won't let some foreigners tell what Miyagi-Do can and can't do, these guys will pay.
Amanda: I see, well, nice to meet you Chozen.
Chozen: I say the same about you and I assume that (Samantha) is the daughter he talked about so much.
Samantha: Yes, I'm Samantha, I'll be at practice tomorrow... but if you don't mind, I've had a rough day and I think I'm going to sleep now.
Her parents just nod and she goes to her room.
Things weren't looking good for Samantha Larusso, she felt her life was going downhill, starting with her relationship with Miguel, on prom night, she lost her mind as soon as she saw Robby and Tory together, she was seeing her ex with her biggest enemy, of course Miguel was also distracted, but after that he still accused her and that's why I haven't even started talking about the tournament yet, Miguel said he would be there to cheer for her but he wasn't, she hadn't even seen him since then, but the final straw was the final fight, she had scored a point on Tory BEFORE she left the mat, but the referee didn't count that point, then when Tory elbowed her in the eye the referee only gave a warning, when in fact she should lose a point, but Samantha was confident that she could get through it all, she would train harder, more than she ever trained in her life, so that when that happened she wouldn't make the same mistake again.
The next day they were in class, Anthony was talking to his annoying friends (I don't remember their names so I'll just call them 'annoying friend 1' and 'annoying friend 2'), when Kenny showed up.
Annoying friend 1: Look Larusso, it's that new kid, you were grounded because of him, are you going to let him escape like that?
Anthony: Look man, never mind, that was just a huge misunderstanding.
Kenny realized that Anthony was scared of him, but he was destined to fulfill the promise he had made, Anthony would enter a world of pain, so he resolves to provoke Anthony.
Kenny: What is it? Are you scared?... Lapusso.
Annoying friend 2: Dude, he called you Lapusso, are you going to let him get away with it? show us some of your karate.
Kenny: That's it, show me, I'm ready for your lameass karate.
Anthony didn't know what to do, Kenny had already beaten him up after the tournament, if they fought again, surely things wouldn't be better, but then Anthony had an idea.

This was getting weirder and weirder, it's ok for Miguel not to talk to Samantha, it's possible he's still mad at her, but he didn't even talk to his best friends, what happened to him?
Just that day, Johnny was in his apartment when Robby rang the doorbell, Johnny opened it and was happy to see his son.
Johnny: Robby, good to see you, what do you want?
Robby: I just thought we could spend time together, like father and son.
For a while, Johnny didn't know what to do, on the one hand he wanted to improve his relationship with his son, but on the other hand he had promised that he would go after Miguel, who had gone to Mexico to look for his father, Johnny didn't want to have to choose between his student and his son, but at this moment, Miguel needs him more than Robby, so with a broken heart, Johnny turned to his son and said:
Johnny: Look, I really wanted to do this, you have no idea, but now I just can't, because Miguel...
Robby (interrupting Johnny): It doesn't surprise me, you chose Miguel AGAIN!
Johnny: Robby, it's not that, it's just...
Robby: And here was I thinking you were going to change, thinking you wanted to redeem yourself for all this time you've been gone...
Johnny: I really want this, but you have to understand that...
Robby: I thought you cared about me and wanted to be a better father, but no, the moron over here was wrong and you chose Miguel, because Miguel is perfect, Miguel is the son you never had, Miguel is...
At that moment, Johnny couldn't take it anymore.
Johnny: QUIET! You really think I prefer Miguel over you? you think that? so you really don't understand, i agree i was a bad father, but i really want to change, i want to make things right with you, but now is not the time, now i HAVE to go after Miguel.
Robby: Of course, because Miguel is your favorite.
Johnny: I'M NOT DONE YET! you have no idea of all the crap Miguel had to put up with, you suffered in juvie? this was nothing close to what he suffered thinking he could never walk again, ever since you kicked him off the second floor he's been through more and more difficulties i know you have your own problems but it's not even 1% bad compared to what he had to go through and now, when he's finally recovering he decides to go to Mexico to look for his father, a guy who makes Kreese look like a little angel, he's at risk of life there, and I made a promise, I promised I'd always be by his side, and I'm going to keep that promise, when he's here we can spend some time together, but right now I really need to help him.
It was only then that Robby realized how wrong he was, at no point did he think about what Miguel had been going through since Robby kicked him from the second floor, as much as he was having difficulties in juvie it was probably nothing compared to what Miguel was going through, not even sure that he would walk again, for the first time he was sorry for everything he did, it's true that Miguel wasn't 100% right either, but what Miguel did was no excuse for Robby doing what he did, that's when he realized, he had to find Miguel and apologize to him.
Johnny: Okay, if you don't have anything else to say, I'm going now.
Robby: Wait... I... I want to go with you.
Johnny: Wait, are you serious?
Robby: You want to meet Miguel, I want to spend time with my dad, we both win... I mean, if that's okay with you.
Johnny: No, it's fine, of course you can come with me.
That afternoon at the Cobra Kai dojo:
Silver: Good morning students, before we start training I would like to inform you that sensei Kreese is going through some... legal problems, so until he gets back I'll take care of the dojo.
Hearing this, Tory already suspected that Silver had set up Kreese, just to get him out of the dojo and keep Cobra Kai for himself, not that she understood his motives, I mean, why a billionaire would need a karate dojo? but still she was determined to find out the truth.
Silver: That said, let's start the training (he sees someone at the door) wait a minute.
He goes to see who it was and finds Chozen.
Silver: Can I help you?
Chozen: You Terry Silver?
Silver: Yes, it's me, what do you want?
Chozen: Chozen came here to say, Miyagi-Do doesn't shut down.
Silver: What do you mean... wait, so Danny Boy won't keep his promise?
Chozen: This has nothing to do with Daniel-San, it has to do with me, you foreigner, have no right to decide what Miyagi-Do can do or not.
Silver: The deal was that whoever lost would shut down their dojo, they lost in a fair tournament, you have to accept that.

Silver: Was that a threat?
Chozen: No, it was just warning and I assure you, you don't want to see Chozen angry, goodbye.
Chozen leaves and Silver starts to think about what just happened.
Kenny: Sensei, who was that?
Silver: I don't know, I've never seen him before, but I know why he came here.
Silver wasn't feeling threatened by Chozen, but he believed he should be careful with this guy, if this was how Daniel wanted to play he had to fight back and he already knew exactly what to do.
