President Kimble looked at the golden, shimmering card before him. The fourth Quarter Quell twist.

This year, to remind the District's that the adults within their communities brought forward the dark days, the Tributes this year will be between the ages of 20 and 30 years old.

Twenty-five years ago it may have been exciting to the Capitol citizens. Now it was a boring twist for a pageant that was losing it's following.

In recent years Capitol TV has expanded. the top shows included small game shows, reality shows of Capitol life, or dating shows. People had started to crave drama. The type of drama a group of teens fighting for their lives didn't give. A pool of older Tributes would definitely increase the drama but how much would they generate when faced with death.

"What were the figures for last year?" Kimble asked, leaning back and looking at head Gamemaker Franic.

"It continues to be steady but most of these viewers are not active. The show with the highest active viewers was 'Split or Stick'" Kimble groaned.

Split or Stick was the Capitol's most popular show. A dating show based off the format of the Hunger Games. Each year Twenty-Four single adults from across Panem would volunteer. They'd pair up and the public would vote them out weekly until a final couple was crowned the winners. The winners get the final choice of taking the prize money and house for themselves, leaving their partner in poverty, or agreeing to a public marriage in front of Panem. it was full of drama, love, and betrayal and the Capitol public loved it.

Initially the two shows would have little in common. how could a death game and a dating show be merged. Yet as Kimble sat and listened to Franic rambling on about viewing figures, an idea started to form in his head.

What if this year the people voted out instead of going home to poverty, were placed into the Hunger Games?

How The Games Will Work:

Twenty-six volunteers are chosen from across Panem (not the Capitol). These people applied for Split or Stick before the Capitol had decided a twist so as far as they knew, they were applying to just be on a harmless dating show. They find out upon arriving at the show itself about the twist.

The "Tributes" will filter in slowly. The show starts with ten Tributes (5 male, 5 female) who will then pair up with a Tribute of their choice. throughout the weeks, new Tributes will be added with the intention of tearing up pairs and trying to keep themselves in the games (these are usually the most good looking people selected). Every week a pair or a Tribute is voted out. these will then be transferred to Capitol accommodation. once the winners have been crowned, rejected Tributes will be placed into the Arena.

As before the twist, the crowned winner (most popular Tribute in the winner pair) gets to decide if they want to split, take the money, the mansion and send their partner into the Hunger Games. Or they can agree and the pair will be married on the spot.

So I'm the best case scenario there are 3 victors. Two possible winners of the dating show and one from the Hunger Games.

What Will The Tributes Be Like:

Unlike with usual Hunger Games, these Tributes have been selected primarily for the dating show. However, the Capitol did keep in mind that these people would also have to put on a show in the Arena. Due to this there will be two types of Tributes chosen.

the Split or Stick Tribute:

-Attractive (above average or gorgeous).

-The type to cause drama

-Wondering eye when it comes to love.

-Big personality.

-Does not want to go into the Games (more likely to do everything they can to stay in the dating show)

the Hunger Games Tribute:

-Pro Capitol

-Strong (possibly trained to be a Career in their youth)

-Wants to be part of the Hunger Games.

-Sadistic.

All these Tributes will be between 20 and 30 years old. Keep in mind they want to be on the dating show as they volunteered for it. The Hunger Games twist gets sprung on them once the dating show starts.
