The Next River Boy.

Chapter 1

"Are you sure about this?" 45 year old, Erica Sharpe, looked at her husband, 51 year old, Darryl Braxton as they stood in the garden of their house Brax had brought. She wandered over to the small pond, which had fish in.

"I'm sure, Rick" Brax's voice was gravelly, as the years wore, but what was clear was their love for each other and their son, Casey Braxton.

"We'll talk to Case together" Ricky said, leaning back in to Brax's arms.

"Good idea. " Brax kissed the top of his wife's head.

"Hey, mum, hey dad " Casey greeted his parents.

"Case, mate, sit down. There's something your mum and I wanna talk to you about" Brax said, gesturing for the 17 - year old to take a sit.

Casey pulled a seat out from the kitchen table and Ricky took a moment to look at her son: he'd inheriated her blonde hair, Brax's nose and a birthday present from his parents, they'd allowed him to get "Blood & Sand" on his chest. "What's this about?"

Ricky took a sip of her tea, before answering. "Case, your dad and I have been thinking. We are moving back to Summer Bay. "

"Summer Bay?" Casey said. "What's that?"

"It's a small town. Your dad used to own a restaraunt called Angelos there. Your uncles Kyle, Casey and Heath worked there" Casey knew about his uncle Casey, once he had started talking: on his 5th birthday, Brax and Ricky had sat him down, and with the help of photos, explained that the boy with light brown hair, was his uncle, who had died.

"Why did you guys leave?"

"I had an accident. " Ricky's eyes filled with tears then and even though over the years she'd come to terms with not being able to give Brax another child, it also strenghtened their bond. "I was trapped in a caravan, a wall fell on me."

Brax squeezed Ricky's hand. "Your mum was trapped, I found her, but she had to have surgery, it was the only way to save her life. "

Casey stood up, and grabbing his board, he walked out of their home.
