Jasper Park, Alberta, Canada, a lovely vacation spot for people. It is teaming with tons of wild and wonder. One of the parks more permanent residents is one of epic proportions. This resident happens to look very much like a blonde grey wolf, but he is so much more. His bloodline is one of legend. The resident was born human. His mother was a witch, and his father was a Guardian. The Guardian is a protector of all. That was what he was created to do. He looks like a regular athletic male human, but he possesses many abilities. He can shape-shift into any animal alive of extinct on Earth, he has super-speed, strength, and endurance, can use magic, manipulate elements, has eternal youth, and is almost impervious to any attack. He learned every fighting skill known to man, and has vast amounts of knowledge to add to his arsenal. He has the ability to give people his long lasting life if he chooses to do so. Over the years, the Guardian fell in love with a witch named Sarah, and he and his love got married. He gave his wife and brother in law the long lasting life, so he wouldn't have to see his loved ones perish. The Guardian gained a wife, and a brother in-law in his merry crew. A few years later, on one of the Guardians many travels, the group came across a magical tribe of natives called the Amarocks. These natives had many magical gifts. One of these natives was named Waya. He was the strongest warrior of the tribe, and sparred with the Guardian daily. Soon, this sparring turned into a friendship. Waya taught the Guardian and his family the way of the Amarocks, and the Guardian taught Waya many other things that he learned from his travels. After the Amarocks elders grew fearful of the Guardians powers, and him learning their secrets, they decided to try and harness the Guardians and his family's powers. Waya stepped in and he was trapped inside a mask. After some time the Guardian managed to break Waya out of his prison, but Waya looked different. Waya was turned into a giant magical wolf who was bound by a wolf mask. Waya left his tribe and turned the hardy trio into a quartet. A few hundred years go by, and the Guardian and his lover's family grew, when they realized that the witch was pregnant. 9 months later, a little girl was born. They named her Drew. She had dirty blonde hair, and brown eyes. She grew up as an only child for eight years. She was being taught to fight, and use magic by her family members. After those eight years, The wife became pregnant once again, and nine months later, a little boy was born. He was called, Dean. Dean had blonde hair and blue eyes. Eight years went by, and now both siblings were being taught by their family members. For some reason, Dean was absorbing the teachings faster than his sister. He was catching up to his sisters knowledge of fighting, and using magic at an alarming rate. He was soon on par with his sister. His uncle then devised an idea. He would make something to make Dean stronger. After Dean suffered a nightmare, his uncle decided that was the time to inject his experiment into Dean. He did so, and soon realized that he made a grave mistake. Not only were the hosts abilities enhanced by the experiment, but the experiment took over the host. He couldn't remove the experiment from Dean. The uncle decided that the only way to protect his family, was to eliminate the experiment, his nephew included. The Guardian soon caught wind of his brother-in-law's plan, and decided to talk him out of it. There are very few ways a Guardian can be killed, family is one of them. The Guardian did not take into account his brother-in-law taking a knife, and stabbing him in the back. The Guardian's wife casted a spell that froze her brother in place, but not for long. She grabbed the intended target, her youngest son, and packed items for him to have including Waya's mask. He packed some other items and they were gone. She put Dean in a camper trailer that was going to Jasper National Park, Alberta, Canada. That was the last time Dean saw his mother. He made it to Jasper and, after saving three pups from poachers, met a wolf family. After some time of playing with the pups, Dean was soon made by the mother wolf to stay with her family. After a few months of adventures with the wolf family, Dean had a most unwanted visitor, his uncle. Dean and his uncle then proceeded to fight, in which Dean lost the fight. His uncle then proceeded to tell him that his family, their family, was all dead. With that said, Dean closed his eyes, but the final hit didn't come. He heard a small voice and saw that it was one of the pups he saved. The uncle then grew irritated, and decided to eliminate the wolves. This triggered something in Dean. The experiment had taken over, and Dean lost himself to the anger. He then began to wipe the floor with his uncle. Before he could deal the final blow, Dean gained control. After the fight with his uncle, he waited for his family to get him. He then received horrible news. His family wasn't coming back for him. He was utterly shattered by the news, but after some help from the wolves, he learned to cope. He then went back to his old home, to gain information. He got that and so much more. He received a bodyguard in the form or Waya's descendant, and a she-wolf long thought to be dead. After a run in with more poachers, Dean decided to accept the wolves offer to be apart of their family. He then became their son and brother. After this, Dean went on so many adventures. He helped train his siblings in order to win an assortment of games against another team of pups. He cured a blind she-wolf who had a spiritual connection to a forest that protected her. He has had many more, and has grown so much in the time since he was adopted. Being a wolf has advanced his aging. In just one and a half years, Dean has grown from a small pup, to a teenager about to go off to alpha school. As of now, the son of the Guardian was falling on his face, a lot.
"You are the worst goose I have ever seen," spoke Marcel, a goose who was a friend to the family.
"And duck," spoke Paddy, a duck, who was also a friend of the family. They were teaching Dean to fly.
The goose who face planted into ground spit up some dirt, and looked at the two critics.
"I got maybe five seconds off the ground," said the frustrated Dean. "I don't know what I am doing wrong."
"You're scared of falling," spoke Marcel. "The air is not going to bite you, it is there to help you be free in the sky. You must be true to yourself, and not lie to the sky. I hope you understand that because that is how paddy and I were told."
"I don't understand." Dean then shifted into a human. He was now a teenager about seventeen or so. He had blue eyes, and medium length hair. He wore a black sweatshirt and grey sweatpants. "How more true to myself can I be? I am the son of the Guardian, adopted by two wolves, part time human and I am a soon to be alpha. How true can I be?"
The birds couldn't give him an answer, for they did not know what to say.
"Enough training today," spoke Marcel. "Take a break, and we will train again when we return. Practice until then."
"I will. Thank you guys so much."
"You're welcome," spoke Paddy. "We will be back within a few months."
"Ok, I will see you guy's later," said Dean.
"Goodbye," they said. With that, they flew off.
Dean was left to his sorry lonesome. That was until he heard a rustle in the bush. A squirrel then popped out of the bush. Dean smiled, but then something jumped out of the other bush. It was a wolf, a brownish grey one. It let out a snarl and lunged at Dean but he then grabbed the wolf in a headlock. It couldn't shake him off.
"Tap Ty, tap," spoke Dean.
"Never," spoke Ty. "You'll have to knock me out." Dean then released his best friend.
"I am not carrying you back to your den."
"I almost had you. That would have made me up two."
"Where did you learn to count!? We're even."
"Since whe-" before Ty could finish that sentence, Dean had tackled him to the ground. This has become a tradition amongst the two friends to tackle one another to catch the other by surprise.
"Ok we're even, now get off me."
"That's what I thought."
"So," began Dean. "Where are my siblings?"
"Right behind you," spoke a voice behind Dean.
Dean turned to see all three of his siblings, Runt, Stinky, and Claudette. They all had grown up and are teenagers like Dean. Stinky was a large wolf, a little smaller than Garth, his uncle, but still a teenager, so he has some growing to do. He was about Dean's size when he is a wolf. Claudette is about as tall as her mother, and really quick. The one who has had the biggest change was Runt. He was not as big as Stinky, but he had gained muscle. He looked less like an omega, and more of an alpha. He was taller than Claudette. He shifted into his wolf form. He had his blue eyes, and blonde fur. He looked rather unnatural as a bright blonde, blue eyed wolf.
"Hey guys," said Dean.
"Hey," said Runt. "What are you doing?"
"I was trying to fly, but I am still not getting the hang of it, and Ty tried to tackle me."
"As usual," spoke Claudette.
"Indeed," continued Dean. "Key word "tried." You guys missed Marcel and Paddy. They will probably be back after while we are at alpha school."
"Sounds like you had fun," spoke Stinky.
"Yep."
"You ready to go home," asked Claudette. "We need to get a good nights rest, for when we see mom tomorrow."
"Oh yeah, mom's coming back from her hunting trip," remembered Dean. "Has 14 moons gone by that quick? It'll be nice to spend time with mom as a family before we go off to alpha school, and you learn to be an omega." He looked at his brother, Runt. He smiled at Dean's remark.
"Yeah," began Claudette. "We have 30 moons before we head off to alpha school."
"Yep," began Stinky, "and then it will be spring until we come back."
"Stop it, you're going to make your dad cry," spoke a voice coming up behind the siblings.
Humphrey, their father, came up to them and smiled.
"What's up Dad," said Dean.
"Nothing much, Marcel and Paddy told me where you were, so I decided to see how flying was going."
"If you call falling on my face a lot "flying", then I am an expert."
His father laughed and patted him on the back.
"You'll get there. You just need practice."
"Thanks Dad."
"Hey, it's my job to keep your spirits up as your dad. Now, how about we head home."
"Dean," spoke an unknown female voice.
Dean looked to the voice and saw a light brownish grey she-wolf.
"Kayla," he said. "Uh, I'll catch up with you guy's. I gotta go do something."
"Go to your girlfriend, son. Everyone else, let's head home."
"But Mr. Humphrey, I am not your pup," said Tyson.
"Ty, you have slept at our den more times than I can count. You are apart of the family. Now, you can either come to our den and eat some leftovers, go to your own parents den, or you can go anywhere but here. Leave Dean and his girlfriend in peace."
"You said food? Lead the way pop," joked Ty.
"See you when you get home son."
"Yes sir."
Dean then went to his girlfriend.
"Hey," he said.
"Hi, would you want to walk with me?"
"Wherever you are going, I will follow."
"Great."
The two then took a stroll around the territory making small talk. They always liked to stroll. Dean met Kayla shortly after he was adopted into the pack. They hit it off, and began to date. They lost track of time, and, before they knew it, It was dark. The moon was high in the sky. The two of them began to walk to Kayla's den. Her parents were both off on the hunting trip that Kate, Dean's mother, was on.
As they were heading back, Dean grew tense.
"What's wrong Dean," asked Kayla.
"I feel like we're being watched."
"I don't hear anything, or smell. Are you ok?"
"Maybe not. I need sleep. My head must be playing tricks on me."
They continued to walk, and soon made it to Kayla's den.
"You sure you don't want me to stay with you tonight?"
"Dean, for the last time, no. I can take care of myself. You don't need to protect me. I will be fine."
"Ok, I will see you tomorrow then. Goodnight Kayla."
"Goodnight Guard wolf." That is her little nickname for him. She then licked his cheek, and went into her den.
Dean then began to stroll back to his family's den. Before he got there, he decided to take a detour and he ended up at a log cabin. He turned human, but stopped before he hit the steps. He held his head and nose. This has been happening more frequently now to Dean. It started as just a bloody nose, but now it hurts his head and chest. He quickly made himself presentable and cleaned the blood off his shirt. He knocked on the door once he composed himself.
"It's open," spoke a voice inside.
Dean opened the door, and walked in to see a very tall Native American man in the kitchen wearing an apron that said in big letters "This is a manly apron, for a manly man, doing manly things, with manly food." He was cooking steak at the moment.
The whole scenario had Dean rolling on the ground.
"What's so funny," asked Tikanni. Dean's new bodyguard. "Can't a man make his dinner in peace?"
"I'm sorry I disturbed the manly man doing his manly things," laughed Dean. Tikanni looked down at his apron. "This was a gift from a friend of mine," answered Tikanni.
"Well you look great, Tuffy."
"Thank you! Now, to what do I owe the pleasure of this visit, Dean."
"Nothing, just killing time, and I wanted to see how our prisoner was." Tuffy put his apron away and left his food untouched. He
"She is still resting. She is very malnourished, but she is getting the fluids she needs. I also healed her scratches."
"Good." Dean then moved to a room and peered in. He saw a she-wolf. A very skinny she-wolf. She was very familiar to Dean.
"So, you wanna fill me in on how you know her," asked Tuffy.
"Well, I don't know her per say, but I know of her."
"Would you care to share with the class?"
"She is called Princess," and her father is a wolf named Charles who called himself "King." He wanted to take our territory. I choked him out and gained control of his pack. Whoever wanted to join our pack, was allowed to, and whoever didn't, ran for the hills. Charles ran one direction, and Princess ran another. I don't know her real name."
"Ok, thanks for the profile. Now why are you really here?"
Dean closed the door to let Princess rest.
"I need a spell's ingredients." Dean knew the spell, for he had read all the books. He knew as much spells as his family did.
"Ok, I got tons of spells and ingredients."
"Waya could speak to the dead."
"I can't, but I have a spell that could."
"I need the ingredients to it."
"Follow me."
Tikanni then lead Dean upstairs, and to a door at the end of the hallway to a door. Tikanni opened it and revealed a bookshelf, a desk, and a computer and printer.
"Welcome to my own personal library, and information spot," entered Tikanni.
"Cool."
Tikanni grabbed a book and turned through the pages. I got your ingredients. He then went to another room and grabbed all of the ingredients needed for the spell to be casted. Dean grabbed them, and placed some paper on the ground. Signs using the ingredients were drawn onto the paper. He then summoned his dagger, and it appeared in his hand. He then poked his thumb, and blood began gushing from the wound. He then placed the blood mark in the middle of the sign. He then began to chant.
"Hear what I say, ones that lay, something must be cried to the one who died. Julius, brother of Sarah, Brother-in-law to Jesse, the Guardian."
The sign, and Dean's eyes began glowing blue. The bright blue lights lit up the room. Tikanni leaned on the wall and waited. Soon the light began to form something on the paper. A shape of something humanoid began to shape itself. The shape is male. After a little while the male grew features of more detail. The male had long hair, black clothing, but he also had scratches and cuts all over him. He looked like he suffered an attack from a wild animal. This was someone Dean felt utter hatred toward. This was Dean's biological uncle, Julius.
"I appreciate you not using an ouija board," spoke Julius. "This would take all day to get a conversation."
"Hi Julius," said Dean coldly.
"How long has it been since I died? You look older."
"That's not important, but I need to ask you of something."
"Why would I answer it with your attitude like that?"
"Because you have no motive to lie. You are dead, and you are going to tell me something."
"Which is?"
"What happened to my sister?"
"Drew? I killed her, like everyone else."
"Don't lie to me. How did you kill her?"
The ghost began stuttering before making an answer.
"I stabbed her."
"Enough. Tell me the truth!"
"Ok, I had my fun," said Julius. "That night, the night it all happened, I had just finished snapping the neck of your mother. I went to Drew's room in hopes that she was still asleep, but I found that she was gone without a trace. I then used some magic to sense what my other senses couldn't. There was a large burst of magic by her bed. It was a portal. She made a portal out of the house. The portal was horribly misshapen, and very amateurishly made. She didn't know what she was doing, or where she was going, but luckily she left a lot of breadcrumbs in her rush to get away. I made a portal and teleported to her location. What I found was not pretty. She had made the portal over a ravine. I quickly began to heal her, but I then began to wonder why she did all this. I then looked into her memories to see what she saw. It was me stabbing Jesse in the back. I felt the fear in her heart. The pain she felt. It was unbearable. I decided that, in order to protect her, I would erase her memories."
"You what," exclaimed Dean.
"She wouldn't tell anyone our secrets, and she wouldn't be hurting anymore. I blocked her abilities from her father and mother. I took her to the hospital and paid for the hospital bill. I then left the hospital, and I made a portal back home. I then packed and began looking for you.
"Will she be able to get them back?"
"Once the key unlocks the lock I put in her head, they will begin to come back."
"How do I unlock it?"
"I don't know. Try to remind her of her past."
"Where did she portal too?"
Julius then began to hold his head.
"Not only did I erase her memories, but I erased mine as well. I erased her location."
"Why?"
"She left because of me. If I looked for her, she would hate me for the rest of her life. I know she would because I hated myself the moment I stabbed Jesse. I didn't want to hurt her more than I had to, so I erased her location from my mind."
Dean was happy and angry at the same time.
"Thank you for the answer."
"You're welcome, Dean. I don't know how you'll get her memories back, but good luck."
"Goodbye Julius."
The blue light began to disappear, and it was now Dean, Tikanni , and the moonlight shining through the window.
"Wow," said Tikanni. "That was something."
"My sister is alive, but I need to know where."
"That sounds like a tomorrow problem. Rest Dean, and we will find her."
"I hope to do so before I head to Alpha School."
"We will. Go rest now."
"Ok, thanks Tuffy."
"You're welcome, now get out of here and let me eat."
"Your manly meal for the manly man?"
"Ok, get out."
Dean left and headed home. Tuffy then began to put his apron back on and went back to preparing his food. Meanwhile someone was stirring. Princess rose up from her slumber. She was groggy, and her vision was blurry. She then gained consciousness and realized she had no idea where she was. She then realized that something was in her front leg. She then heard someone far off. She couldn't see anyone, but she heard him. The male was singing.
"Hello," she rasped.
The singing stopped, and she heard steps moving close by.
"I am coming in, and I have food, but I warn you, I am not a wolf."
"What are you," she asked. "And how can you understand me?"
"It will be easier if I explained face to face," spoke the male. "Just don't freak out, please."
"I will do my best."
With that Tikanni slowly opened the door. Princess' eyes grew in fear and shock.
"Woah woah," halted the human. "My name is Tikanni. I am a friend."
"How can you understand me?"
"It is due to my heritage."
"Where am I, and what is this?" She was referring to the IV.
"You are in my home, or den. That thing in your front leg is giving you nourishment. You are very thin and you need nutrition. I also brought some elk. You were fighting off a bear when you were found. I am a friend of Dean. You are in United Pack territory.
He then handed her a bowl of elk meat. She sniffed it and growled.
"Ok, eat it when you feel like it, but please keep that thing in your front leg. You need the nutrients. It'll probably be taken out tomorrow."
"You are strange."
"You don't know the half of it. What is the last thing you remember?"
She thought hard before something clicked. A bear had attacked her after she killed a deer. She tried to fight it off but couldn't and was cut on the side. Before she lost consciousness, she saw something get in between her and the bear. It roared at the bear. It had a pointed tail, and it pointed it at the bear.
"A bear attacked me, but something else came in between us."
"What was it?"
"I don't know, but it was fierce. It let out a roar that made the bear cower in fear."
"Huh, sounds like you had quite the traumatic experience."
"You don't believe me. Of course a human wouldn't. No one would."
"Hey, I believe that there are things we don't understand. Some stuff can't be explained. I know you are alive today. Whether something helped you or didn't, doesn't matter. You are alive. Why don't you get some rest, and I will help get the IV out of your front leg tomorrow?"
"Ok," she spoke.
"Ok, goodnight."
She then curled up, and soon fell back asleep. Tikanni made it back to his kitchen, finished his meal, ate, and went to sleep.
Dean had made it back, and he was fast asleep. He choose not to tell his family about his sister, for he wanted to tell everyone at once. He also had another announcement to make. As he was sleeping he soon began to stir. He opened his eyes and realized he was not in the den anymore. He was in a desert.
"Huh, this is new."
"Help me," screamed a feminine voice.
"What," asked Dean.
a statue of a dog laying down appeared next to him.
"Help me," screamed the voice again.
"Where are you," he screamed.
He looked to the sky to see a lone star. He then turned and heard a chuffing sound. He then saw a bear walking under the star.
"Help me," said the girl.
"I don't know where you are."
The voice continued to scream for help, but Dean didn't have a clue of who was asking.
"I don't know where you are!"
He then turned around and saw a girl. The girl stood a few inches shorter than him. She had black board shorts, a red T shirt, and open finger gloves. The girl looked like she had seen better days. Her right eye was swollen. Her lip was busted, and she had bruises all over.
"Help me," she screamed. Dean's eyes grew wide at the sight. He knew exactly who this was.
"Drew," he said to himself.
He quickly turned human and ran to his beaten sister.
"Drew, tell me where you are."
She just looked at him, and pointed to the bear and star.
"I don't understand."
She then said help me once more.
"Drew I-" before he could finish the sentence. He noticed Drew shrink. He looked at her feet and realized the sand was swallowing her up. She soon began to sink quicker.
"No no no, Drew. Please don't leave me again."
Dean grabbed her hand and pulled with all of his might, but it was no use. The sand swallowed her up; leaving Dean to this nightmare. He looked back at the bear, and the star.
"What are you trying to tell me, Drew."
