SUMMARY:

Lucifer and Michael are working through their issues with the help of Chloe. Chloe doesn't mind being in the middle, really it can be quite enjoyable, as long as the twins are on the same page, and as long as she can keep her issues under control. As if they didn't already have enough on their plates, God decides to make an overdue visit to Earth.

This is Part 2 of my 'Fallen Angel' series. This starts directly where Part 1: Behind Your Eyes left off – will need to read first to understand this one.

DISCLAIMER: I unfortunately do not own the Lucifer TV series. I wish though.

NOTES:

The awaited Part 2 is here. Yay!

Some notes before we continue:

-This will have elements from Season 5b but will be more AU than Part 1. Certain scenes will be changed in the order they appear. Some scenes/episodes will be completely skipped over. One such episode is "Daniel Espinoza: Naked and Afraid". Dan did not shoot Lucifer in this AU so there was absolutely no reason for Lucifer to get back at him. Other storylines are happening in the background and are mentioned as they intertwine with our trio.

-More Trixie! Who didn't want to see more of Trixie in the last two seasons? I know there were restrictions and she had started moving on to bigger things (go her!) but I needed the Trixie fix.

-Angel anatomy, physiology, and instincts will be explored heavily with some surprises along the way.

-Wings. Need I say more?

-Part 2 will earn its M rating. There is plenty of angst and plot so no worries but sex will be included more so than in Part 1. This is Lucifer so…*shrugs* I can only control him so much and Michael develops a mind of his own in later chapters. I tried. (Granted not very hard but it's the thought that counts, right?)

-This is a twincest story. Warnings will be placed at the start of each applicable chapter as was done in Part 1.

So, with those out of the way – let the story telling commence.

"How dare you shell me?!"

"You threw out a banana peel!"

Strings of Spanish spewed forth making Michael laugh.

If anyone had told him that he would be sitting here, in the Devils penthouse, playing Mario Cart with a tiny wisp of a human, and he would be thoroughly enjoying it, Michael may have had to kill them for the sheer absurdity of it. Yet, here he was.

Seven days have passed since he and Lucifer had somewhat mended things. All secrets and miscommunications had been taken care of anyway. It has also been seven days since his wing had been broke and stuck in this torturous sling.

He longed to stretch out the cramped muscles and scratch at the itchy feathers but it was not yet healed much to his frustration. Lucifer had somehow gotten a hold of a portable radiography machine so they wouldn't have to risk damaging it again by taking the splint off too soon. The thing wasn't even completely healed yet. According to Ella, it still liked a couple days, hopefully that was all it took.

Seven days he has been stuck in the penthouse. Not being able to furl his wings away put a huge limit on where he could go. Yes, he could go down to Lux for a change of scenery during the day, but that was it. Michael was beginning to feel stuck and caged.

Chloe and Lucifer helped, or tried to. Chloe brought him books, which with nothing else to do he could easily finish three to five of them within a day depending on the length. They tried entertaining him with board games of all things when Chloe wasn't straightening up her house or spending time with Trixie. Dan had even stopped by once with case files for him to help go through.

He and Lucifer had gone through many of the movies Lucifer had, minus the x-rated ones of course, although Lucifer tried to convince him that it could be good learning material. Michael had very promptly nipped that in the bud. He did sit through Hot Tub High School, and although he could have done without the movie itself, he could admit that Lucifer had a point about Chloe's part. Wank bank material indeed.

After their first little foray, Ella had discovered that some of the bandages had indeed worked lose and had quite literally given him hell for it. Apparently, despite being tied down, his wing had stretched and wiggled enough that Ella was concerned that he could have risked the bone unsettling. Chloe had put an immediate halt on all of it, much to Lucifer's, and if he was honest with himself, Michael's disappointment.

"Ha! I still won! Take that ángel tonto!" Ella cheered jumping from her seat on the couch.

Michael scoffed with a fond eye roll. Who knew the little Latina could be so competitive? "Not surprising considering I've only started playing today."

Ella turned to smile brightly at him where he still sat on the back of the couch, bare feet on the cushions, and wings hanging down past the back. "Nah, you are doing really well, Michael. You are a natural at this stuff."

"It's basic hand to eye coordination." Michael shrugged. "What could be so hard about it?" He motioned toward the popcorn on the table as he spoke and Ella handed the bowl to him. "Thanks."

"You make it sound so easy but you haven't beaten me yet." Ella teased.

"Who says I'm not just letting you win?" Michael raised an eyebrow chewing on the popcorn he put in his mouth.

A look of indignant shock took over Ella's face. "You better not be." She punched him in the shoulder knocking some of the popcorn out of the bowl.

Michael sighed leaning to grab it from the couch cushions before popping it in his mouth. He set the bowl beside his feet and wiped his hands on the pants Chloe had grabbed for him from the villa. "Okay, fine, rematch." Michael challenged picking up the controller.

Ella smirked as she turned to re-pick her character. "You are so on."

Turns out, he hadn't been lying as he completely wiped her out. Ella sat staring at the screen in shock and dismay as Michael munched on his popcorn victorious with his character having taken first while hers was dead last.

"That…that was…so not fair." Ella sighed.

Michael chuckled. "I did tell you."

Ella hopped up. "Okay, new game."

"Diminuta, that was the fifth game in the past two hours." Michael laughed while also feeling a bit concerned.

"Yes, and you keep mastering them within minutes. I am determined to find one you don't."

"If you insist."

Michael set the now empty bowl back on the table as he stood to stretch allowing his right wing to shake out a bit. The left one flared up with an itch that made him clench his teeth against the urge to rub it against the nearest wall. No doubt some of his feathers were molting with nowhere to go and getting knotted together. Damn his luck.

"What's going on, Ella?" He asked trying to take his mind off his wing.

"What do you mean? Nothing's going on." Ella jumbled out as the loading screen for the newest game came up.

"You said that too quickly."

She turned to look at him with wide eyes and an innocent expression. "Too fast? I always talk fast."

Michael nodded. "Yes, you do, but it takes a liar to know one." He raised a brow and crossed his arms over his chest, daring her to say otherwise.

Ella stared him down for about a minute but when Michael didn't let up she sighed and hunched over a bit. "That obvious, huh?"

Michael moved back to his seat on the back of the couch leaning on his knees. "You hide it well under your smiles and laughter, but I know better than anyone how to hide behind a mask. Plus, I can tell something is off by the low level of fear you are constantly carrying recently."

Ella sat down beside his legs and stared down at her hands. "Guess that's what happens when you date a serial killer." She mumbled quietly.

Michael watched the little human just taking her in. She looked sad, lost, and even smaller than normal. Her cheery personality always made her seem bigger than she actually was so to see her look so small unnerved him. Michael took a quick peek into her. Ella's fear was wrapped around her, not out of control, but constant. Her statement was true, but there was something else just lurking underneath it all.

"What did he say to you?" He tried to keep his voice even but a slight growl entered it anyway.

Ella looked up at him in mild shock before a soft smile appeared. It disappeared about as quickly as it appeared. She looked away again; back down at her hands as they fidgeted. "That he could sense a similar darkness in me, and that it was one reason he approached."

"And you believe him?" When Ella didn't respond he sighed a little. "Ella, everyone has darkness in their souls. The point is what you do with that darkness." Michael leaned over a bit more to try to see Ella's face, but she turned from him. "Do you want to go out and kill innocent people?"

Ella wiped around to face him so quickly he was concerned she would give herself whiplash. "Of course not!"

"Okay, then you are nothing like him." He stated sitting back straight.

Ella watched him clearly confused. "That's it. Just like that."

"My job is to know souls, Ella. A soul that doesn't want to judge itself comes before me and I do the judging." Michael looked at Ella intently. "All souls have darkness to varying degrees. Some give into it and it swarms them. Others have brighter souls despite everything. Yours is most assuredly one of the brightest souls I've come across."

"Wait, you can see our souls?" Ella asked sounding very nervous at the idea.

Michael shook his head. "Not the way you are thinking. I can't see them while living; only once the body starts failing do they become clear to me. It's more of a feeling. Fears can give a lot of information about a person." He sighed. "His words are making you fearful because you don't want to believe them not because they are true."

Ella looked away from him again staring at the start screen on the TV. "I don't come from the cleanest family. My brothers are heavy into shady things; drugs, cartels, you name it. It's where I got my hotwiring and lock picking skills from, among other things."

"And yet, here you are, working with the LAPD as a forensic scientist."

"I've always had an interest in death and its causes."

"You still aren't killing anyone." Michael moved to kneel in front of Ella making her look at him. "Yes, there is darkness, Ella, but instead of using it to hurt people, you are using it to help. Instead of being the killer, you are helping track the killer down. That makes the difference."

Ella stared at him blinking away tears. She smiled softly. "Who knew you could be so…heartfelt."

Michael rolled his eyes with a small scoff. "If anyone knows darkness and fear it's me." He had lived with both for over a millennia. They still haunted him, but it was steadily getting better.

Ella chuckled wetly before surrounding him in a hug. Michael froze a moment, unsure exactly what he was meant to do, but eventually hugged her back. A soft rhythmic flapping reached his ears.

"Let's not tell Lucifer okay?"

Ella laughed.

The sound of wings was heard from the balcony just before Lucifer walked in with a smile. "Don't tell me what?"

Ella sat up shocked while Michael stood. "You heard that? You weren't even in the room!"

Lucifer shared a smirk with Michael as though he had a secret.

Michael shook his head. "Our hearing is better than humans." He explained for Ella. "I heard him coming before you did."

"Well, that explains a lot." Ella sighed a little put out.

"Playing Grand Theft Auto were you?" Lucifer asked from the bar before drinking from the glass he had poured for himself.

Ella smiled suddenly animated once again. "We were about to. Want to join us?"

"Not tonight I'm afraid." Lucifer did look genuinely remorseful. "As much fun as it would be, I'm only here to find out if Michael would like to join the Detective and myself for dinner."

Michael tilted his head a bit. "Dinner?"

Lucifer finished his drink. "Yes." He set the glass down facing them more fully. "The Detective thought it might be nice to get you out of the penthouse for a few hours at least, so suggested having dinner at her place tonight."

"Aaawww." Ella cooed. "That's so sweet. You should totally go, Michael." She turned around to start gathering up her stuff.

"Okay, only two problems." Michael pointed back at his wings. "I don't fit into a car and I can't currently fly. Sure I can try to use the excuse of cosplay…I think that is the word…but I'm sure Chloe lives far enough away walking isn't feasible."

Lucifer sent his brother a 'no shit' look before replying. "You would have to consent to being flown but I could get us there no problem." Lucifer held his arms out with a smile as though the problem was completely solved.

Michael gave his twin a deadpan stare hearing Ella chuckling softly behind him. "Carry me? Seriously?"

Lucifer huffed a sigh dropping his arms clearly insulted. "I'm not going to drop you."

"Go on, Michael." Ella rested a hand on his shoulder. "You were pacing like a caged animal when I arrived. A change of scenery will do you good."

It was true. Seven days stuck here and he was ready to yank his hair out. Being literally grounded to one place was not treating him well. He had no idea how Lucifer managed for seven years without his wings. Michael would have gone insane.

"I'm gonna head on out." Ella continued moving toward the elevator. "We'll take another radiograph of your wing in two days and see how things are." She informed Michael before waving as the elevator doors closed behind her.

No sooner had the elevator dinged her departure than was Michael caught up in a kiss. He grumbled in surprise but relaxed into it regardless. Lucifer grinned at him when he pulled away.

"Ready?"

"Not taking no for an answer are you?" Michael asked dryly.

It wasn't that he didn't trust that Lucifer wouldn't drop him; it was just that being carried like some damsel just wasn't what he had in mind.

"Miss Lopez is right. You need out of your ivory tower for a night." Lucifer softened his grin into a gentle smile. "No one but us will know."

Michael sighed. He supposed that was true enough. "Alright… fine." He stabbed Lucifer in the chest with a finger giving him a stern look. "Keep any jokes or innuendos out of it."

Lucifer laughed. "Very well."

He leaned over to sweep Michael's legs up over one arm with the other cradling his back just under his wings. Michael wrapped his arms around his brothers neck and buried his face into his neck with groan. Damn this was embarrassing.

"Alright?" Lucifer asked softly as he moved them to the balcony but Michael could hear the grin in his voice.

"Make this quick." Michael mumbled into Lucifer's ear.

The sound of Lucifer's wings unfurling made Michael jump a bit but with one flap they had them in the air. The feeling of the night air rushing through his wings had Michael turning to feel it on his face. Lucifer had taken them high enough that the air was fresh and crisp as he breathed it in.

If there was one thing he hated the most right now it was not being able to fly, and it wasn't just because he was being carried like a child by his brother. He was meant to be in the sky.

They landed quickly just as Michael had asked, beside the Corvette. He stepped away, while Lucifer furled his wings away, looking around the neighborhood they had landed in. Lucifer guided him toward Chloe's to get him inside before any neighbors spotted his wings. Not that it would be easy; they blended in well with the shadows they portrayed.

Chloe greeted them both at the door chuckling as Michael had to twist and angle his wings just right to even get them through the door. He sighed in annoyance but a quick kiss from Chloe lifted his mood.

Lucifer made a beeline toward the kitchen area. "Everything hold alright?" He asked already tying the apron in place.

"I know how to keep things on a simmer, Lucifer."

"Yes, you do." Lucifer grinned with a wink. "But I meant the food."

"So did I." Chloe rolled her eyes fondly but the Devil had already focused on other things.

Michael shook his head deciding to see just what smelled so good while Chloe went back to working on what she was doing before they arrived. It looked and smelled like a shrimp Alfredo but Michael had never been real good with cooking in general.

He picked at the random bits of food that had been pre-prepared just in a bid to annoy Lucifer because he could. It worked, of course, Lucifer smacking at him with hands or the current utensil he happened to have in his hands. Only when Lucifer growled and flashed his Devil eyes did Michael hold up his hands in surrender and back away. It still didn't stop him from snatching up a warm cookie that had been cooling on a plate at the end of the bar. Lucifer growled and grumbled more but let him by with it.

He had to hold his wing close to prevent it from bumping into anything. Bringing him here had been a nice thought but he would be more than happy to return to the penthouse by the time this was over, just for the ability to walk around without feeling like he could potentially trash the place without meaning to.

Michael walked around a bit observing the small home as he took bites from the cookie he had stolen. Obvious signs of the child that lived here were placed here and there. Multiple drawings took up one wall; Trixie had some skill if Michael said so himself. A backpack was propped against the back of the couch where it had no doubt been discarded the moment Trixie had entered the home. Kid and family movies took up the majority of the DVD shelf. Chloe exited Trixie's room, where she had been putting away clothes, just as Lucifer called to set the table. She enlisted Michael to help handing him plates and silverware while she carried glasses.

It felt so foreign to him. Michael did as asked but it felt like someone else had taken control of his body. When was the last time he had been invited to anything? Or asked to actually help with small tasks that were obviously designed just to make him feel included?

The meal itself went without a hitch. Lucifer started telling stories of their "childhood" days and the pranks they pulled on their siblings. Chloe listened with apt attention clearly enjoying herself as she laughed with them. Michael, despite feeling so at odds, interjected to correct any embellishments that Lucifer tried to add earning multiple eye rolls and huffs from said embellishing Devil.

Things were going well. Too well, Michael thought. He could not escape the itch that something was going to happen soon to upend all of this.

Perhaps it was because things were going so well that had Michael so antsy all of a sudden. He and Lucifer had avoided talking any further about feelings and such; the last emotional reveal seemed to be as far as they could get. Lucifer didn't seem to want to risk this little bit of happiness either so left the subject well alone. Chloe was following their lead so far although Michael could tell she was just as fearful of rocking the boat as they were.

This was a little slice of a heaven Michael thought he would never have. If the past was anything to go by, it wouldn't last much longer.

They had just finished and were working on clearing everything away when the door slammed open and the joyful cry of a child was heard.

"Mom is home, Dad, and Lucifer is here too!" Trixie called right before she turned around into the room.

Michael froze. Trixie stood staring at him with awe struck eyes. Well, not so much as at him, but at the wings on his back he was currently unable to furl away.

Chloe and Lucifer looked at each other with wide eyes before looking at Dan as he jerked to a stop in the door way. Dan looked at all of them in turn as the situation registered on his face.

"Fuck." Dan cursed despite his young daughter being not a few steps away.

"Wow." Trixie breathed not hearing a syllable her dad said.

LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

Chloe didn't dare to breathe. It felt like hours passed as they all stood staring at each other and Trixie as her daughter stared at Michael's wings. Michael to his credit, acted calm even though Chloe could tell he was anything but. Dan hadn't moved from the doorway and Lucifer stood still beside her. His form was tense as he glared over at Dan before placing the plates he had in his hands in the sink.

"A phone call would have been nice, Daniel. Maybe some forewarning." Lucifer had a slight growl in his voice.

"It was my night to have her. I figured Chloe would be with you." Dan defended himself.

"Well, she is with me, obviously."

Dan sighed closing the door silently. "Trixie forgot her bag. I didn't think you guys would be here."

Chloe sighed. It was a mistake clearly but it didn't change the fact that her daughter was currently starring in complete awe at a pair of angel wings. She moved a few steps closer to Trixie.

"Trixie, honey…"

"Are they real?" Trixie spoke over her mom clearly talking to Michael.

Michael glanced very quickly at Chloe from the corner of his eye before turning his attention back to the young girl in front of him. Lucifer took the glasses he held in his hands, clearly trying to keep busy, while Michael smiled warmly at Trixie. Chloe was shocked to note the smile was genuine even though he was just as tense as everyone else.

"Animatronic. Pretty cool, huh?"

Chloe blinked multiple times. She was so used to Lucifer, who always told the truth no matter how outlandish it was, she had honestly not expected the outright lie. How could she have forgotten that while Lucifer hated lying, Michael had no such qualms?

"Why is one all bandaged?" Trixie inquired twisting her head to get a better look at the splinted up wing.

"Fallen Angel cosplay. Do I pull it off?" Michael held out his arms and turned in a circle for the girl. His wings barely shifted.

Chloe was unsure if she was impressed or bothered he was lying to her daughter so easily. Complete mixed feelings, although it was probably better to keep her daughter uninvolved as much as possible.

Trixie looked at Michael with a calculated look before turning to Lucifer. Chloe cringed knowing that Trixie was going to ask Lucifer the same questions.

"Are they real, Lucifer?" Trixie asked sending the Devil an 'I know you don't lie' look.

Lucifer looked at Michael from his place at the sink, shirt sleeves rolled up and hands deep into soapy water. He was most assuredly stressed and keeping busy to look unbothered. Michael simply stared back with an eyebrow raised.

He smiled tensely before addressing Trixie. "The feathers are." A simple answer and it wasn't a lie.

"How did he get all of them on there?"

Lucifer raised his hands in clear frustration, soap bubbles falling from his hands. "My brother has many unknown talents. Ask him."

Chloe tried not to sigh but couldn't stop how nervous she felt. Lucifer may not lie outright, but the Devil was very good at dodging around it, and at pinning the task onto someone else. It also didn't help that Lucifer was clearly worried. Trixie took the bait turning back to Michael.

Dan by this point had finally moved to sit at the bar, clearly watching and leaving the answering to them even as he snitched a cookie for himself.

"Can I touch them?" Trixie asked innocently.

Chloe knew enough about her daughter that Trixie was not just asking out of curiosity. "Trixie, let's not be rude."

"I'm not being rude, mom." Trixie argued. "All I did was ask a question."

Chloe opened her mouth but Michael stopped her.

"She's not buying it, Chloe." He said sending her a guilty but 'I tried' look before turning back to Trixie. Slowly, his right wing unfolded and curled around until it was within reach of Trixie who was watching with an excited expression. "Gently. Don't pull the feathers."

Dan and Chloe quickly turned to Lucifer as their young daughter reached out a hand and gently stroked down the dark feathers.

Lucifer sighed now drying his hands on a towel. "It's most likely fine. Children are usually more accepting of the Celestial than adults." Lucifer held worry in his gaze and his body was still tense. Chloe half expected him to bolt from the room any second. He was clearly unsure of Trixie's reaction or if she would connect all the dots.

"They are so soft." Trixie cooed with a smile, now with both hands stroking along both sides of the wing.

Lucifer quickly moved forward making a shooing motion with his hands prompting Michael to pull his wing back with a slight smile and Trixie to look disgruntled. "Yes, very soft, but they are not meant for touching."

Chloe noticed the glare Lucifer sent Michael for even allowing Trixie to touch them further than a simple pat. Hmm, seems that possessiveness over his twins wings wasn't just with her.

"Do you have wings, Lucifer?"

The room seemed to freeze as they all looked to Lucifer to see his reaction. Lucifer swallowed thickly looking down at the small human.

"What makes you ask that, urchin?"

"He's your brother." Trixie held a clear 'duh' look. "Besides, if the Devil is a fallen angel, and you are the Devil, then you must have wings."

Lucifer blinked owlishly at Trixie unable to respond.

Dan stood sensing the tenseness of the room. "Come on, Trix, get your bag."

Trixie immediately argued. "I can see his wings," she pointed to Michael "I've seen Maze's face, and I've seen Lucifer's eyes. Why can't I see Lucifer's wings?"

"When did you see his eyes?"

"You saw Maze's face?"

Chloe and Lucifer spoke at the same time. They did a quick glance at each other before focusing once more on Trixie. Trixie sighed very annoyed with all them.

"Lucifer used them to scare the bully when we first met and Maze showed me her face that Halloween." Trixie glared at them. "Do you guys really think I'm so dumb not to know?"

"What? No, Trixie, not at all." Chloe quickly jumped in to run interference. "You're very smart, so it's no wonder you figured it out, I just wasn't aware that you had or that you had so early. I didn't even know the truth that soon."

Trixie stomped off to grab her bag from where it was leaning against the couch. She stomped back to the door before looking at Chloe. "You did, mom, you were just too scared to admit it." Trixie then opened the door and walked out.

"Trixie!" Chloe called.

Dan ran a hand through his hair. "I'll talk to her, Chlo." He promised before he left after their daughter.

The three left stood silent for many moments. Chloe felt her heart break with the realization that her daughter had known all along. The things that she has been through that Chloe had been unaware of. What kind of mother was she that she never noticed?

"Don't Chloe." Michael stated suddenly. Chloe startled looking at him confused until she realized he was feeling her fear. "Trixie is mad, yes, but her ire is more directed toward Lucifer than you."

"Me?" Lucifer turned toward them aghast. "Whatever did I do?"

Michael eyed him calmly. "Maybe it's more a question of what you didn't do."

"What does that mean?" Lucifer was glaring at Michael now. The current events were affecting him more than Chloe was sure he would admit.

Michael returned the glare. "I don't know. It was the feeling I got from her." Michael looked over at Chloe. "I couldn't get a good enough read before she left so I'm unsure of the exact cause." He admitted softly.

"She's afraid of Lucifer?" Chloe barely got the words out even though they made no sense. Trixie had never acted scared of Lucifer as long as she has known him. It was even more significant that Trixie had known Lucifer was the Devil this entire time.

Lucifer looked like his entire world was about to implode before Michael quickly jumped in. "No, not at all." He shoved his brothers shoulder just enough to grab his attention. "Trixie is not afraid of you, Lucifer. She is a complicated one so it will take more time with her to get a clear answer."

Chloe shook her head softly when Lucifer looked to her for lie detection. He relaxed minutely.

"Complicated one?" She asked Michael.

"I'm sure you've heard Lucifer use the term when he's used his mojo." If Michael had noticed Lucifer looking to her for confirmation he wasn't lying, he didn't let on. "Some humans are harder to read thus more complicated. The more complicated a human is the harder they are to pull out their desires or fears." Michael looked thoughtful. "Children usually aren't so complicated though considering they are so open with their feelings."

"Would Trixie hitting her preteen years make a difference?" Chloe asked.

"How old is she?" Michael asked.

"Eleven."

Michael nodded. "Teenagers are a jumbled mess." He cringed.

Lucifer scoffed. "And how many have you come in contact with?"

"A fair few over the millennia." Michael retorted. "Teenagers are teenagers no matter what century they are from."

Chloe figured that made sense but it didn't lessen her fear much. She hated that Trixie was mad at her, what mother didn't hate it when their children were upset, but she couldn't blame her daughter one bit. They had lied to her on so many occasions but Trixie had never called them on it. It now made sense why Trixie kept asking where Lucifer had gone despite Chloe having already told her. She had known Lucifer hadn't just ran off to Florida and kept asking hoping Chloe would cave and be truthful with her. It made Chloe's insides twist with guilt at having lied to her daughter so much recently.

"Chloe."

She looked up just as Michael wrapped his arms around her and tugged her close. Lucifer hugged her up from behind.

"The urchin never stays mad at you for long, Detective." Lucifer mumbled into her hair.

"Let's give her some time then I'll talk to her and see how I can help." Michael stated stepping back some. "But don't let guilt cloud you over okay. No need to judge yourself so harshly just for protecting your child."

The meaning behind Michael's words was not lost on Chloe. Chloe couldn't help but wonder how many mothers had judged their selves too harshly. She shivered and wanted to cry at the thought.

Please note that I know VERY little Spanish. I'm using Google translate for the few phrases of Spanish that will be in this so please don't come at me with pitchforks…..

ángel tonto – silly angel

diminuta – tiny/tiny one
