Dinah Laurel Lance sat on the rim of her bathtub. One hand covered her mouth, the other holding a pregnancy test.

She had ignored the signs. The exhaustion, the irritability, her costume feeling a bit tight. She passed everything off as fatigue from overextending herself between her night and day jobs.

What had she been thinking? Sleeping with Oliver? Truthfully she hadn't, not wanting to call it a night after a slow night on patrol she had asked Ollie to spar. Eventually, they ended up on the floor, Oliver shirtless and her in a sports bra. She kissed him on impulse from there one thing led to another.

Now they were going to have a child, she had always dreamed of having Oliver's children. Although under different circumstances, they weren't together despite her confession of love in that hospital room, after Darhk had nearly killed her.

They had been dancing around each other for months now, ever since she returned from Central. It had been just the two of them in the field with Felicity behind the comms. The three of them had become a well-oiled machine.

Her newfound strength and durability had only added to that, not to mention an actual Canary Cry all thanks to the second particle accelerator explosion. How was the team going to work with only Ollie in the field? Just far the Throwing Star Killer and the Vigilante had eluded them.

"Laurel, you okay?" Thea knocked on the bathroom door, bringing Laurel out of her thoughts.

"Just a second," Laurel responded, shoving both the pregnancy test and box deep into the garbage.

"You okay?" Thea asked, noticing Laurel's rather flustered look.

"I'm fine," she responded too quickly.

Thea gave Laurel a look, "Truth please,"

"I'm pregnant!" She blurted out.

"What!?" Thea started, in disbelief.

"I'm pregnant," Laurel said again, this time in a controlled voice.

Thea was speechless standing there with her mouth open.

"It's Ollie's," Laurel whispered, this got an immediate reaction out of Thea.

"Oh god, that's wonderful Laurel," Thea shouted, bouncing up and down, before embracing the older woman in a hug.

Laurel stiffened, "Thea, what have I done? Felicity,"

Thea withdrew, her hands dropped to her side, "Laurel, you don't want this?"

Laurel looked down, "I've always wanted to have Oliver's children. But not like this, Thea. We're not even together," tears begin to form in her eyes

"Laurel," Thea pulled her back into a hug, and just held her there without saying another word.

Two Days Later, Starling City Woman's Hospital

Dr. Williams smiled, at the quite nervous and fidgety Laurel Lance. While Thea fussed over her, just as nervous, "So you're pregnant," she announced, with a smile looking over the blood test.

Laurel smiled, it wasn't like she already knew this but to have it officially confirmed, with something other than an unreliable pregnancy test. She squeezed Thea's hand looking up at her with a wide grin on her face.

"Alright, Ms. Lance," Dr. Williams, sat down on the chair and started filling out paperwork, "I'm setting you up for another appointment in 2 weeks' time until then I'm prescribing you prenatal vitamins, remember to drink lots of fluids, you may continue whatever workout routine you seem to use," Dr. Williams, commenting on Laurel's extremely fit physique.

"So what now?" Thea asked.

Dr. Williams, swiveled her chair back around face the pair, "An ultrasound, get our first look at the baby, just let me gather necessary materials,"

"I'm so giving Oliver a list of places to propose," Thea whispered into Laurel's ear.

"Thea, Felicity," she whispered back.

"Laurel…." Thea was cut off by the returning Doctor.

"Alright, you ready," Dr. Williams asked.

"Yea," Laurel answered, clutching Thea's hand.

Dr. Williams, applying the gel "Alright let's see what we have here,"

Laurel turned to the screen and watched with diligence, "Oh God." She breathed, seeing her child for the first time as small as it was.

Holding Laurel's left hand, Thea smiled with the biggest smile you've ever seen plastered on her face, as she stared at the screen looking at her future niece or nephew.

"Alright, you're indeed about 8 weeks pregnant. Your guess was right on the money Ms. Lance, I'll just get you a screenshot here so you can share with family and friends if you choose to do so,"

Laurel's apartment/Evening

Laurel sat silently on the couch, staring at the picture in her hands. She was pregnant, the child was Ollie's. He needed to know, she had wanted to tell him tonight. Laurel had called him only to discover he had a date with Susan Williams, Channel 52 reporter.

Placing the ultrasound picture on the coffee table, she put her head in her hands and let out a deep sob. Things hadn't gone as she suspected, Felicity was dating Billy Malone, a detective her father knew well.

She expected the pair to find their way back to each other by now, yet here she was pregnant with Ollie's child while he was dating a reporter of all things. Which caused her to question Oliver's wisdom, given the fact that Oliver was a damn vigilante.

Williams what's good at what she did, channel 52's most hard-hitting reporter. Her stories had earned her many rewards, exposing much corruption within the city government.

If Williams even got the sniff of something, she wouldn't stop exposing everything, therefore, putting herself and her unborn child at risk. She really needed to talk to him, before his relationship with Susan progressed any further.

Oliver's Apartment

Susan gawked at Oliver's naked torso, she had never taken things this far to get a story. Yet despite the distraction of his amazing body, she got that she needed the Bratva tattoo, captain no less.

She had the confirmation she needed, there was nothing to do but enjoy Oliver's glorious body. As they stripped each other of their remaining clothes as they fell softly onto his bed.

Morning

Oliver smiled, waking up to Susan's naked form. Last night's lovemaking had been rather vigorous. Oliver hadn't exactly planned to end up back at his apartment, especially since this was only their third date.

It had been a while, not since Laurel in the bunker two months ago. Oliver sighed deeply, neither of them had spoken up at night. Laurel had left him there on the mat without saying a word.

"Hi," Susan mumbled, breaking Oliver from his thoughts.

"Morning," Oliver said, leaning in for a kiss.

Susan responded by straddling him, "Another round?" She mumbled picking up where they left off last night.

Laurel's apartment

"Oh god, not again," Laurel groaned, as she emptied her stomach on the toilet. Thea was beside her with her hand resting on her back as the other kept her hair out of the way.

"Laurel," Thea whispered softly, concerned for the woman she considered a sister.

Laurel lifted her head, "I need him, Thea,"

"I know," Thea pulled her in for a hug. In the hope, it would at least provide some comfort. She was angry at her brother for doing this to Laurel, seemingly without consideration. Especially knowing Oliver had taken Susan home with him last night.
