RISE OF THE MIDORIYA BROTHERS

CHAPTER 1: MEETING

"K-kacchan…stop h-hurting him." A young boy of around 10 years of age says as he stands protectively in front of a young boy. He had dark green messy hair with green eyes and freckles on each cheek. He is also fair skinned. This is Izuku Midoriya.

"Stupid Deku! What can a quirkless loser like you do?!" A boy of the same age as Izuku says loudly. He has spiky ash blond hair with red eyes and is also fair skinned. Behind him where two of his friends who had smirks on their faces. This is Katsuki Bakugo.

"I-I'll s-stop you…" Izuku says as he shakily gets in a fighting pose, ready to go up against three quirked individuals in order to protect the whimpering boy behind him. He knew he wasn't going to win. He had no quirk.

"Oh~ trying to be a hero! Huh Deku?!" He says as his right palm, a smirk appearing on his face. "Looks like we'll have to teach you a lesson." Bakugo says as the two kids behind him readied their quirks. Izuku shakes even more, readying himself for the amount of pain he was going to feel after this but it's not like he wasn't used to it, though it still hurt.

Bakugo then lunged towards the green haired boy ready to use his explosions on him but he didn't have the chance to when a flame coated fist smashed onto his right cheek, sending him crashing onto the ground hard.

Everyone was shocked, especially Izuku that someone had punched Bakugo right on the face. A hard punch. Everyone looks towards the person who had done that. Standing there was a boy of around the same age as them with black straight hair, tanned skin and brown eyes. He was wearing a black shirt with white shorts and black shoes with black bands on his wrists. His right fist was coated in reddish-orange flames confirming that he was the one who had punched Bakugo.

Izuku, though relieved that the newcomer had saved him, he was also worried. Bakugo might be arrogant, but he was also strong and there were not many kids that could beat him. In fact, there weren't any he had seen so far. He was afraid of what he would do to the boy.

Bakugo gets up while rubbing his bruise and glares at the boy. He was pissed. Who does this extra think he is to punch him like that?! "You! You're gonna pay for that you damn extra?!" He says as he intensifies his glare.

The boy glares just as hard back at Bakugo. "Who are you calling an extra?! You bully!" The boys yells at Bakugo. Bakugo then smirks. "Who else than the next number one hero!" He says in a arrogant tone. The boy scoffs.

"Yeah like that would ever happen buddy! The way you are now, you're more like a villain! If anything, I'd say that kid over there could be number 1!" He says as he points at Izuku who flinches a bit at that.

'Me. The number one hero?' Though it was the dream he's had since he first heard of heroes, he also had his doubts that he could do it! He was quirkless after all. He felt happy that someone actually thought he could be a hero but then realized that the boy didn't know he was quirkless and that's why he said something like that.

Bakugo, meanwhile, was furious. First this extra appears out of nowhere and delivers a really hard punch to the face(he could still feel it) when he was about to beat up the useless nerd, but he also has that gall to call him a villain and then says that Deku has a better chance at becoming a hero. It infuriated him so badly. He was gonna beat up this guy and teach him his place.

"DIE!" Bakugo cries out as with the help of his explosions, he launches himself towards the black haired boy. He goes sets out both his hands as they ignite with explosions ready to blow up the kid. As he gets closer, he then releases his explosions as it hits and engulfs the kid causing dust to rise up. Bakugo lands on the ground, a smirk on his face. "Wow just like that? What a loser."

"Yeah what a weakling!"

"Nice one Katsuki!"

"Well now that the extra's dealt with, we can now deal with shitty De-" He was cut off by a flame coated fist smashing into his gut causing him to gasp in pain and double over while holding his stomach.

He looks up as the smoke clears to reveal the boy, with no bruises at all. In fact, the only thing that showed that he was hit was the burn marks on his clothes. Bakugo and the others were shocked. Well Izuku was both amazed and shocked.

"W-what the…h-how?" Bakugo says as he rubs he rubs his stomach.

"Your explosions won't work on me buddy." He says as he raises his still fire coated fist and yells out. "FIRE DRAGON'S IRON FIST!" He punches Bakugo hard on the face sending him flying back, passed the other two bullies and crashes onto the ground, again, though this time he was knocked unconscious.

The other two bullies become shocked and scared. Their leader and strongest member just got beat up with three punches and the opponent didn't have any scratch on him. They begin to shake, fearing what the boy would do to them next. The boy then faces them with a blank look. "Huh? Why are you shaking like that?" He asked as the fire disappears from his fist. "Well I don't really wanna know. Just take your friend and leave." He says. The two boys didn't waste time and rush towards Bakugo, carry him and leave the place.

The boy then sighs and looks towards Izuku, who had stars in his eyes, as well as the other boy. He approaches them just as the other boy stands up and walks up to him. "T-thanks…you saved me back there." He says.

"No problem. Couldn't let jerks like that do what they want?" He says.

"R-right thanks again!" The smaller boy says as he begins to run off in a random direction. Probably home. The black haired boy then looked at Izuku, who still had stars in his eyes had a wide smile. It weirded him out.

"Hey dude? You okay?!" He asks.

"Woah that was so cool! You were able to beat Kacchan! What's your quirk?! Why didn't you get hurt from the explosion?!" Izuku then began to mumble. The boy sweatdrops.

'Wait. Green messy hair, freckles on cheeks, a bit shorter than me. Hmm and he kinda smells like Ms. Inko.' He thought before. "Hey are you Izuku Midoriya?" He asks causing the boy to stop his mumbling and look at him.

"Huh? How do you know my name?" Izuku asks confused.

"Well yeah. I was adopted today and was told to look for you. You see you're my new brother now." The boy says with a grin.

"Eh?" Izuku exclaims shocked as he blinks trying to take in all the information. Brother? He's mum didn't tell him anything about having a new brother today. Maybe she wanted to surprise him. "Wait really?"

"Yeah it's nice to meet you bro! Though I didn't think we'd meet like this." He says as he chuckles. "But anyway the name's Ken. Ken Midoriya." He says as he sets out his hand for a handshake.

"You're…my…brother." Izuku says as he stands there, not sure if he heard things right.

"Yeah I just said that." Ken says still waiting for his handshake.

Izuku then proceeds to slap himself on both cheeks with his hands shocking Ken who didn't understand why he did that. "Did you just slap yourself?" Ken asks

"Y-yeah…it's just that, this is a big thing to hear just out of nowhere. I was making sure I was hearing things correctly." Izuku says. Ken nods at that. It made sense, even he would be shocked if he was in his shoes. "Well anyway since we're b-brothers, we should head back home." Izuku says, still getting used to the whole brother thing.

"Sure. Let's go bro!" He says as he then wraps an arm around the green haired boy's shoulder. "And while we're walking, you can tell me about yourself and why that kid was about to beat you up." Ken says.

"O-oh…okay. W-well I'm Izuku Midoriya and I'm 10. I like my mum, eating Katsudon and heroes especially Allmight!" He says as his face lits up.

'Great…a fanboy.'

"I also like to make notes on heroes. My dream is to be the number hero." He says with a smile. "Though I'm not so sure if I can." He mutters the last part to himself but Ken hears him.

"Hm? Why not?" He asks surprising Izuku.

"You heard that?"

"Yeah, part of my quirk. So why don't you think you can be a hero. The way you defended that boy looked heroic to me." Ken says looking forward. Izuku just sighs. Well if since he is his new brother, he would know sooner or later. Though a part of him was fearing what the black haired boy would do or say if he told him that he was…

"Let me guess. Cause you're quirkless, right?" Ken says surprising Izuku. "I heard boom boom boy yelling it before I got there." He adds. Izuku just looks away and closes his eyes waiting for the mocking that he was going to receive but instead received a bonk to the head.

"Ow…"

"You know you're pretty stupid Izuku." Ken says causing Izuku to flinch a bit. "If you wanna be a hero, then be a hero." He says simply.

"You make it sound easy." Izuku retorts.

"And you make it sound so hard." Ken retorts back. "After all you didn't let that stop you from protecting that kid and from what I've seen and heard, that is what heroes do right? Protecting people." He adds. "Besides I think that was cool."

"W-what you think I was cool? But I don't…" Izuku is cut off by another bonk to the head. "Ow!"

"Stop doubting yourself. Quirks aren't what make people cool! It's what they do with their lives that makes them cool!" Ken says. "If people are giving you a hard time because of it then do something about it."

"B-but I'm not like you! I can't fight back against Kacchan or the others!" Izuku says. "I'm not that strong." He says looking down. Ken then sighs before patting his head. A wide grin on his face as Izuku looks at the boy.

"Then you're in luck bro! I'll help you become stronger!" Ken says causing Izuku's eyes to go wide. "With my help, you'll be beating up guys like those jerks in no time and I'll make sure they don't hurt you in the meantime."

"R-really? Y-you'd do that?" Izuku asks tears threatening to spill out of his eyes.

"Yeah! We're brothers now right! We gotta have each other's backs!" Ken says. Izuku couldn't take it any more and begins to cry as he hugs the taller boy. "T-THANK YOU! WAAH!"

'Seriously, just like Ms. Inko. Or should I call her mum now.' Ken thought. After a few minutes, Izuku finally lets go of him and wipes his tears. "S-sorry…"

"No problem dude! Anyway let's hurry back home!"

"R-right. Wait what's your quirk anyway?" Izuku asks the boy who just smirks and raises his right fist up as fire engulfs it.

"My quirk is called Fire Dragon! I'm basically like a human version of a Dragon. It also grants me enhanced senses. It's why I was able to hear you that time." Izuku stares at the fire in awe. Then out of nowhere a notebook appears and he begins to write down what Ken told him.

"Uhh…where did you get that from?"

"Nowhere?"

Izuku then continues to write down what he knows before a question appears in his head. "Wait so why didn't Kacchan's explosion work on you?" He asks.

"Well due to my quirk I'm immune to fire or fire-based attacks. It's why I didn't feel boom boom boy's explosions. Also I can eat fire as well." He explains and Izuku's eyes go wider at the eating flames part.

"Wait eat fire?!"

"Yeah. It's pretty tasty. Well most of them." He says.

"Oookay?" Izuku says unsure of what to think of about the fact that someone can eat fire.

"Anyway let's hurry back home so we can get some sleep." Ken says. "We have school tomorrow and I plan on waking up early!" Ken says.

"Wait you're attending the same school as me?!" Izuku asks shocked and also happy that his new brother would be attending school with him. Maybe then he won't have to worry about Kacchan.

"Obviously." Ken says. "And then after school we'll begin training!" Ken finishes.

"What?! Tomorrow?!"

"Yes!"

"But can't it wait till next week?!"

"No! If you're gonna become strong, you have to start training as soon as possible! Plus I'm not taking no for an answer!"

"…fine."

The two boys then head off towards their home with smiles on their faces. This was the day a new bond, stronger than steel was formed and in years to come, they would be known as the world's greatest heroes.
