There was movement in the void. Like pixels shredding apart and stitching together. Muffled noises, and distorted screams, in the otherwise perpetual silence of it. A set of red eyes, coming together, falling apart, opening.
The sensation was crushing. Swiping at air, a little flash saw something solid manifest. A heart, or the pieces of one. Shredded in half, torn at the seams. Glowing purple, and bright. The dark latching to it, like a strange gurgling jelly. Molding, and grasping at it, pulling it away. The breaking hand reaching for it, grasping at the edges.
"I expected more partner...stay...DETERMINED." Something whispered within a memory.
The eyes glowed, the hand solidifying, as the heart snapped back together. Shadows snapping, freeing it, finally. The word |RESTART| briefly flashing as a result. Light flooding from it, consuming the dark, and stabilizing the pieces, before, finally, they vanished from the dark.
