Chapter 1: The Boy Who Played with Water. (3/3)
"Draw!"
It must have been an hour or two since Len and Toph started to fight each other. As the two practically spent a considerable amount of time attacking each other but neither actually succeeding. Until they both basically fell on the floor exhausted and decided to consider that a draw.
Dammit, the twerp is pretty good. Len thought in annoyance as he tried to regain his breath after being forced to jump around in order to avoid her attacks. He's not a specialist in Earthbending but he knows that what she did is beyond even master levels.
How did he dodge everything?! Toph thought in deep confusion as it shouldn't be possible to dodge all of her attacks like that. Especially since she kept constant pressure on him.
Both the long haired boy and the blind girl just sat in next to one another breathing heavily.
"Not bad for a Blind Twerp." Len ended up praising the girl.
"Not bad for a Stomp boy." Toph had to praise him as well as he was probably the only one to ever last this long against her. Stomp boy is because he stomps when he walks.
"So, tell me..." He took a deep breath. "How exactly do you parents manage to hide a girl with Earthbending skills that put a lot of veteran Benders to shame?" The long haired boy had to ask as this girl's skills were unbelievable.
"By being delusional to believe that being blind makes me fragile and incapable of looking after myself." Toph told him in annoyance, not at Len but at the subject of her parents overbearing behavior towards her.
"Ever considered tossing a boulder at them, that should change their opinion in less than an instant." Len semi-joked, as he thinks you need some unbelievable level of delusion and stupidity to actually think that the blind twerp next to him is fragile.
"More than once to be honest." She admitted, mostly towards her dad. "What are you anyway?" This guy is definitely tough, he almost hit me multiple times. Toph thought his skills were very impressive.
"A lot of things." Len spoke as he laid on the grass. "A hobo, a wanderer , a mercenary, an outlaw, a pirate and the list goes on..." He told her as he enjoyed the soft grass.
Sounds cool! Toph thought as she also laid on the grass next to him. Except for the hobo part.
Both the hobo boy and the blind girl laid next to one another while staring at the sky. Well, Len was staring at the sky, Toph was simply staring at whatever her eyes were pointed to without being able to actually see it. Neither said a word, probably because they didn't have anything to talk about with one another and under other circumstances.
Len would normally use the opening to attack, but truth be told, he was exhausted and the Blind Twerp wasn't hostile anymore. Though Len wanted to do something, he decided to wait a bit for it.
Toph was actually very relaxed. Because she surprisingly had fun, as he was much more of a challenge than the other guys in the Earth Rumble. I should probably head back before they notice my absence. She thought in deep annoyance that going back to play Ms. Fragile wasn't something that she was looking forward to.
Laziness kind of took over the two of them, Toph knew she should get up and head back but she was actually way too tired from their fight.
"I'm gonna take a nap." Len informed her. "You should head back before they notice your absence or... Don't, I don't care."
Toph sighed as he was right. "Hmmm..." She sat up lazily and was trying to find the energy to move.
Len sat up as well in order to do one last thing before falling asleep. "One more thing..." He called her attention.
"Wha-" Toph moved her head towards the sound of his voice, and once she did, out of complete nowhere, the boy that she was fighting against, grabbed her cheeks and forcibly pressed his lips into hers. Causing the girl to widen her blind eyes in complete and utter surprise. Paralyzed since it was literally her first kiss and because of how sudden it was.
Damn, her breath stinks. It was Len's opinion about the kiss. Beggars can't be choosers can they? Truth is, he has a habit of forcibly kissing girls that he likes, which is something really, really bad, but he doesn't care. Besides, they should be grateful because Len is kind of picky. She's kind of cute, in an annoying way.
What the!? What am I supposed to do!? Toph asked herself as she was completely clueless about the situation, only standing still as the hobo boy that she just met forcibly kissed her lips.
...
...
...
...
OKAY! THAT'S IT! Toph thought as creates an Earth gauntlet on her right fist as while he was distracted and prepared to hit his face with it.
Luckily, Len noticed what she was about to do and immediately pulled back and evaded her incoming uppercut by performing several back handsprings in order to create distance between the two. She took much longer than I expected. Len thought humorlessly since it usually takes between ten or twenty seconds before he gets hit.
"WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO THAT FOR!?" Toph asked in rage to the hobo boy that stole her first kiss.
"You're kind of cute," He spoke in response, which caused Toph to widen her blind eyes and blush a bit in response. "Despite the fact that your breath stinks like a sewer." Immediately following the compliment with an insult.
Toph grinned her teeth after hearing the comment about her breath and immediately launched a boulder at Len. Who immediately ducked and started to move towards the opposite reaction.
"Bye, you Blind Twerp." He ran in the opposite direction.
"GET BACK HERE!" She yelled in rage as she launched more and more boulders in his direction.
That Blind Twerp was pretty good. Len thought as he laid on his bed inside the inn with only his underwear on. The stupid plan will take place tomorrow, and as soon as I trick those idiots and take everything for myself, I will have to get out of here. The boy with long shaggy hair already started to plan.
It took a few hours but he managed to come up with a few ideas. Basically, he decided to write an incriminating letter and plant it on the idiot that will help him invade the treasure belonging to the Blind Twerp's family. After he takes him down of course, Len already had a plan for that. All he had to do was wait until it was time to set the plan into motion.
Deciding to catch some shut eye, but when Len closed his eyes to fall asleep, someone knocked on the door.
"Go away!" Len yelled as soon as he heard the first knock.
"Hey!" He heard the voice of the owner of the inn. "You didn't pay the day's rent!"
"I'll pay the day's rent when the day comes, now go away!" Len yelled at the man before he covered himself with the blanket.
"WHAT!?" It was the man's response. "OPEN THIS DOOR AND GIVE ME THE DAY'S RENT OR ELSE!" He foolishly tried to threaten Len.
"Or else that ugly daughter of yours will have to wipe your blood off the floor?" Len asked because that was precisely what was going to happen if he opened that door.
"YOU LITTLE RASCAL!" The man angrily started to try to unlock the door.
Len only sighed and sat up on the bed to prepare himself for the man's entrance. Bring it on... Once the idiot unlocked the door with the extra key, Len saw the owner of the inn. He was just as ugly as his daughter, he was bald, hairy and fat, but he was a relatively big guy but size never intimidated Len, and he was wearing a green outfit.
"NOW Y-" Before the idiot could yell, Len stood up from the bed and charged at the men, delivering a push kick into his chest which caused him to stumble back into the wall right past the door frame.
"Should have listened." Len spoke as he approached the man, who tried to punch him, but simply took the punch like it was nothing and immediately swung a punch of his own which caused the man to fall into the floor as soon as it landed. But the boy with shaggy hair didn't stop there, he kicked the guy on the face before grabbing him by the collar of the top of his outfit and lifted him off the floor, before he grabbed his face with his left hand and smashed into the wall, three times, until he collapsed on the floor unconscious. Once he was down, Len looked to the side where there were several people staring at him. "Back to your rooms, now." He ordered the people there and they obeyed him.
"P-please," Suddenly, the guy's ugly daughter appeared from the other side. "Don't hurt my father anymore."
"With age comes wisdom... Whoever said that, is a moron." He commented as he meet too many old guys that were unbelivably stupid. "I'm paying the rent tomorrow and that's final, your dad should have listened and if anyone else knocks on my door before that, I'm burning this entire place to the ground." Len threatened the girl. "Am I being clear?"
The girl fearfully nodded. I would probably steal a kiss if she was pretty. He thought before he made his way back into the room and shut the door.
The rest of the night went all smoothly and the owner of the inn that he was staying at was smart enough to not bother him again. Len actually kept his word and paid for the room the next morning. Once he did, he basically spent the whole day with Xin Fu and his group of idiots. He mostly watched their practice and memorized all of the details of the plan, or at least the details that the moron decided to share with Len. The long and dowright torturing wait finally came to an end once the night arrived and the spectators started to enter the Arena for the Earth Rumble.
"What exactly am I waiting for?" Len, who was standing there in full gear, asked Xin Fu as they watched the expectators enter the stadium. Although, there was a very slight addition to his outfit, which was a green cloak that went low enough to hide Len's weapons. I'm starting to think that the Innkeeper's daughter is actually a guy, because the clothes were quite masculine. He thought since he stole the cloak from her.
"For the people that own the estate that we're about to rob." Xin Fu replied to him as he watched the expectators enter the arena.
"Me and the moron over there could have simply waited in front of the estate, not only we would have much more time due to the time it takes to get here and get back but we could have also even make it back here so the moron could even participate in this joke of a competition an escape without being noticed." Len complained as he already didn't like the fact that they had to wait to put this stupid plan into motion. His complaints came to an end as soon as they began, however, as they actually saw the Beifong family entering the arena with some guards accompanying them. And no sign of the Blind Twerp, meaning that she will be there. He thought in deep annoyance as he completely forgot about the girl named, Toph Beifong. But... That can work in my advantage, if I can just trick the idiot into fighting her and he lasts long enough... The boy with shaggy hair was already planning ahead. Even if he's incompetent, he should last at least a minute or atlest half-a-minute agaist the Blind Twerp. "Come on, if we run we may actually accomplish this." He told the Gecko, who was standing behind him.
"We will drag this for as long as possible, but you two need to hurry." Xin Fu told the two of them before he ran to join the other idiots.
With that, Len and Gecko went through the back entrance of the arena in order to not draw any suspicions. But once they were out, the two of them ran exceptionally quickly towards their destination without looking back. By running, it only took them fourteen minutes to arrive at the Beifong mansion. Once they got close enough, Len told the Gecko to move to take the west side while Len took the east side. As they had to take down the guards before doing anything, and there was also the Blind Twerp, but Len was actually hoping that she would try to keep the fragile girl act in front of other people.
As soon as Len found the right spot, he climbed the wall in order to enter the place. But as he climbed he heard a guard walking on the other side, so once he reached the top of the wall, he looked down to see the guard standing there, observing the area. Len simply unwrapped his chain and launched at the guard, the chain wrapped itself around the guard's neck and Len pulled him as he struggled to break free. He was dead when he pulled him all the way up, so Len dumped his body on the other side of the wall before he jumped on the opposite side. As soon as he landed on the ground, Len made his way to the main building by passing through the large garden, running while hiding in the shadows and avoiding any more guards. It was easy since they rigidly followed the same pattern, at each guard that Len encountered on his way to the main building, he got rid of it.
The first guard, stabbed on the back with his sword.
The second guard, he slit his throat
The third and last guard, stabbed on the back of the head.
Once he dispatched the main guards, he finally made his way to the inside. Where a fourth guard was located, but before Len could get rid of him. The one called Gecko appeared and launched two small rocks on the guard's head, knocking him out cold. "Weak..." It was Len's comment before he walked past him and moved towards the main area. "What are the possible areas where the vault could be again?" He asked the masked idiot.
"Xin Fu said that the possible locations are the north or the east building." Gecko explained to Len.
"Then get your butt to the east building and start searching." Len rudely ordered him before moving to search the north building, which happened to be the one that he was currently in.
The masked idiot nodded and moved out of the building, leaving Len by himself. Truth be told, Len already knows where the vault most likely is. Right in front of the entrance, there was a wall with a large symbol of a flying boar, the symbol of the Beifong family; its form is that of a light-colored boar with large, white wings. These rich idiots almost always hide their treasures or secret areas in plain sight. Although, there was a possibility that he might be wrong, the boy wearing a green cloak was having a very good feeling about this. As he approached the wall where the giant symbol was, Len knew that he needed something to break the wall down.
So he decided to walk outside and search for something to destroy the wall, luckily, he caught sight of the kitchen, which was located on the west building. Once he entered however. he noticed a servant inside. "Who are you?!" She was probably a cook or something like that, but luckily, she was the only one inside.
"Hi, I'm Toph's boyfriend, is she around?" He couldn't resist.
"WHAT!?" The woman reacted accordingly. "There is no way in hell that you're Lady Toph's boyfriend, who are you?!"
"I'm the guy that Toph went on a date with yesterday when she sneaked out the house." Len had to hold himself to not laugh at the face that the woman made after he said that. "It was a lovely date, I'm still thinking about that wonderful kiss we shared." He made a goofy smirk, in truth, he still didn't get rid of the horrible taste of her horrible breath. "And she asked me to meet her here today after her parents left the house, do you know how difficult it is to sneak into the place?" This woman is going to have a heart attack if I continue. So, let us continue a little more. "So, is she here or not?" He asked in deep amusement. "Her Stomping Boy is waiting."
"Unbelievable!" The woman spoke angrily. "Her father will know about this! You stay right here!" She yelled at him before she made her way out of the kitchen, probably to find the Blind Twerp.
That left the long-haired boy alone in the kitchen, which allowed him to search for what he wanted. Now, I need something that will help me set that wall in fire.
"What are you talking about?"
Toph decided to have an early night and was in a deep sleep, snoring loudly in her room. Until the woman that forgot the name that works in the kitchen, bashed into her room and started to yell at her over something that she was having difficulty understanding.
"Don't play dumb with me, little lady." The woman spoke like she was scolding her. "I know about you and that boy with long hair."
Toph was justifiably startled by what she said. How did she find out?! She was worried over the scolding that she was probably going to get from her father. "Look, I can explain." The Blind Girl tried to talk her way out of the situation.
"Save your explanation to your parents, little lady!" The woman didn't let Toph speak. "With such an unrefined looking boy."
What the hell does fighting have to do with being refined? Toph didn't understand. "Look, we were only having fun, we didn't really go overboard." It was a lie, since they were fighting each other at full force.
Somehow, Toph actually got the idea that the woman was making a shocked expression. "Fun?! Fun!? Oh my goodness!"
Toph was even more confused, not understanding what the hell was wrong with that woman.
"Your mother will have a heart attack when she sees that boy." She mumbled to herself, but that caused Toph to widen her eyes in response.
"What do you mean see him?" Toph asked in deep confusion.
"Your Stomping Boy is in the kitchen right now and he told me everything about what you two did the previous night." The woman spoke apprehensively.
Toph started to sweat nervously. "E-everything?" She was worried that a very specific part of the previous night came up.
"Yes, he told me how he is still thinking about that wonderful kiss you two shared." Hearing that, caused Toph to both blush and grind her teeth in anger.
AAAAHHHHH! I'M GONNA KILL THAT HOBO BASTARD! She thought in deep fury and embarrassment.
There you go! He thought happily as he saw the wall collapse after he used cooking oil to set it on fire, and he smirked in response to it. I knew it. And his suspicion was correct, there was a passage behind the wall. He brought a big vase filled with cooking oil there and only used a part of it to burn the wall.
Moving his head to look at the door, Len could only watch as the smoke appeared outside. Because Len couldn't resist and he ended up setting the kitchen on fire as well. But then his attention was called to the idiot called Gecko, who just entered through the door once again.
"I found the entrance, the fire should cause a distraction, now come on." Len bluntly told the idiot before he entered the vault through the wall that he just destroyed.
"Why did you do that?" The masked idiot asked Len as he followed him through the passage which led the two into a staircase.
"Because I felt like it, and it's not like we had much time anyway." The time it took to get there, plus the time they spent passing through the guards and searching was more than enough for the match to go and Len highly doubted that anyone would stick around for a match that lasted that long.
"You're crazy." The Gecko replied to Len.
"Have you ever looked in the mirror?" Because anyone who wears an outfit like that has to be crazy. "Actually, forget that question, you're probably worse without that stupid costume."
Before the idiot could reply, the two of them arrived at the end of the stairs, and came across a big wooden door.
"Earthbending." Len ordered Gecko as he pointed at the door.
Gecko didn't reply, he simply launched several small boulders at the door, which damaged it enough. But Len had enough and simply charged at the door and delivered a jumping back kick at the door, which finished the destruction of the door. But as soon as the door was busted open, Len was surprised by a large room.
A large empty room.
"What?!" Gecko immediately entered the empty room in deep confusion.
Len, on the other hand, had a thought on his head. How did Xin Fu even know about this secret vault? Or better yet, how did he know if there was anything inside it. The boy with shaggy hair thought as he didn't really ask about that during their conversation. Did that moron just made us go through all of this based purely on completely loose lead?
...
...
...
...
"I don't get it, where is th-" Gecko was trying to speak in order to voice his confusion but before he could, Len approached him from behind and elbowed him in the face, knocking him out.
"Your boss messed it up, and made me waste my time." Len responded his stupid question. "But don't worry, I'll get some compensation from him and the Beifong family can get the satisfaction of having their home invader arrested."
With that, Len left the Earthbender called Gecko inside the empty secret vault unconscious while he made his way out of the vault but once he passed through the wall that he destroyed, he was greeted by a very large boulder going in his direction.
He evaded by jumping out of the way and the boulder caused a considerable amount of damage on the wall that it collided with. "Hey, Blind Twerp." The boy with long-hair saw the blind Earthbender standing at the entrance. "Did you miss me?"
"As a matter of fact, I did." She replied with a smirk before she made a pillar appear from below Len, but when he jumped to evade it, another pillar appeared from the left.
That managed to hit him and caused him to slide on the floor. "Ohhh..." He grunted before he stood up. "Round three, Blind Twerp?"
"You betcha, Stomping Boy." She got into a stance, visibly angry.
I guess she talked with that woman from the kitchen. Len spoke while chuckling, before he unwrapped his chain. Sadly, I don't have time for this, so... Len used his chain to reach for the big vase filled with cooking oil that he brought from the kitchen. And tossed towards the blind Earthbender.
Unknowingly to him, she could easily detect him due to his habit of always stomping when he moves, so she easily noticed that he actually tossed something into her direction. To defend it, she simply raised an Earth wall, and the cooking oil simply spread around the earth wall that she created. Wait, that's that smell? Toph immediately noticed that something came out of that vase once it smashed into the Earth wall. But before she could react to it, Len launched his chain into the wall and sliced it upon impact. But the impact caused a spark to fly off and land into the cooking oil, setting it on fire. "What the!?" It was Toph's immediate reaction as she felt the warmth in front of her, and immediately could tell that it was fire.
Being so distracted by the fire, she didn't notice that Len actually jumped over her Earth wall that was on fire and landed behind her until she felt his feet touching the floor. But before she could do anything, Len grabbed her from behind and tossed her through the door frame. Toph simply rolled in the air and landed on her feet sliding on the ground before getting into a fighting stance again. Only for Len to walk outside with a smirk on his face and say. "Are you sure, it will break their perception of you." He pointed out.
Hearing that, actually caused Toph to notice that there were steps coming her way. No, not now! She thought in deep frustration as she already knew who was coming.
"TOPH!" Unfortunately, her fear was proven correct as she hears her father's voice calling her.
Len could see Toph's parents accompanied by a group of guards running in their direction. Leaving the long-haired boy with no options but to flee, but before he did that, there was something that he wanted to do first.
Toph could only frown in frustration as her parents got closer, there was no way that she could fight Len in front of them, which made her overwhelmingly frustrated. Sadly, her focus on her parents made Toph take her attention off Len and she didn't notice him getting closer, mostly because he was walking without stomping on the ground which was how Toph identified his location. And out of nowhere, Len touched her shoulders from behind.
"Wait!" Len yelled at her before she could attack him again. "Let's make a deal..."
Toph was confused and honestly had to use all of her willpower to resist the urge to crush him right there. "What kind of deal?"
"This whole mess was a plan from a guy named Xin Fu, the manager of the Earth Rumble tournament." Len explained while they watched everyone running in their direction. "Somehow, the idiot discovered a secret vault inside your home and convinced me to help him get it in exchange for an amount of it."
"That proves how much of a moron you are for accepting, my father empted that vault two years ago and placed it on a bank." Toph informed him, as he used some of the money to make some redecorations on her room.
"Well, Xin Fu is the bigger moron in this story since he managed to piss me off." Len stated to her. "So, here's the deal, I'm gonna pretend that I took you hostage so I can make my escape and you can go back to being the fragile daughter of your dumb parents and continue to hide how much of an awersome Earthbender you are while I go take my revenge on Xin Fu before I leave this place." He proposed.
"What the hell would I gain by doing that?" Toph asked as this moron was the only one that would gain something from that, and it would actually make her situation ten times worse as her parents would get ten times more overbearing because of this.
"Well, that's all I have to offer, unless you want to run away from this place and become my partner in crime or something?" That was not a serious question but unfortunately for Len, she actually heard that loud and clear and took it very seriously. "Because the alternative is me basically fighting my way out of here and hurting a lot of people that you know." He pointed out in hopes that it would make her reconsider, he had no problem in fighting his way out , but he really needed to save his energy for Xin Fu and his group of idiots.
...
...
...
...
...
"Alright." She said in response after a short silence.
"Alright, are you gonna play damsel in distress or scared little girl?"
"Alright, I am running away from this place and will become your partner in crime." That was what Toph was agreeing to.
Len, justifiably, widened his eyes in response to that. Wait?! I wasn't being serious... What is she... Well, her Earthbending skills will be very useful... After a small consideration, Len actually saw the benefits of it.
Toph, on the other hand, was just thinking. You know what, I'm tired of this... I love mom and dad, but I'm tired of playing this fragile little girl act, I want to leave this place and go on an adventure and since this moron clearly has an interesting life, why not? That was her opinion about the prospect.
Clearly the two of them were thinking in conjunction and seemed to be on the same page.
"Partners?" It was Len's only question.
"Partners." It was Toph's response.
Len smirked and had an idea. "What does the idea of getting some money out of your parents sound like?" He asked her as he hugged her from behind.
"It's technically my money too, so it wouldn't be stealing in a way." Toph seemed to be having the same idea as him.
"What are you doing with my daughter!?" Finally, Toph's parents and the guards got close enough to the two of them. There were around six guards with them and they seemed to be experienced Earthbenders, so they needed to be careful.
Len simply smirked before he drew his blade on the reverse grip and placed it next to Toph's throat. "Play along." He whispered in her ear.
Toph listened to him and faked an frightened expression. Causing their parents to make desperate faces in response to the act while the guards looked serious and seemed prepared to attack him. "The guards are about to do something, follow my lead." She subtly whispered the introduction to Len. Then she placed her left foot next to Len's, who noticed and the two in perfect conjunction, stomped their feet on the ground, and Toph subtly made a wall appear in front of them. The wall blocked their vision but it also blocked her parents and guards vision. So Len let go of Toph and he watched as she gracefully moved, clearing using Earthbending on the guards as he could hear their grunts of pain. "They're down." The Blind Girl informed him.
Len then retook the previous position and placed his blade next to her throat. "Move it slowly, and make your best frightened expression." He instructed her. Her response was to make a truly terrified face that was exactly what he wanted. "Perfect."
Toph then got rid of the wall that was blocking their vision and Len could see the guards knocked out on the floor and her parents looking even more desperate.
"No, please hurt her!" Her father begged.
Len simply smirked and said. "Let's make a deal then."
Before anyone asks me, Len is supposed to be an unapologetic asshole that does whatever the hell he wants, he is not a nice guy and I'm not writing him to be sympathetic, just understandable.
Fun fact: Len's chain is actually based on the Daggertail from Prince of Persia The Two Thrones.
Questions and Answers:
You should know been watching a lot of Azula's and her groups scenes and aside from increasing my eagerness for when Len meets them and the eventual ember island equivalent in this had me thinking about a few things
One when it comes to Azula's parents Len brings up how she shouldn't give a damn about either again hope with Azula we see Len I influencing her to not have so much pressure on herself and the extent to what she truly cares about to the likes of Ty Lee and Mai and even as Azula could call them Len's concubines haha so kinda Len's attitude of not giving a shit about the world or anyone else as a whole only caring for himself and the people he choices to care for
Also interested to see if Len would help Azula take over a certain earth nation capital with Len helping her Azula would have a easier time even than in canon
Last thing with Azula hope Len actually teaches her a firebending trick or two such as the fire breath
In regards to her two friends
Hope Mai in a rather bold move accepts Len's offer to pat her down to see how many weapons she carries on her person haha
Hope Ty Lee intentionally shows of just how… flexible she is around Len among other things haha
Can I also make a assumption that when Len eventually finds himself in the Northern Water tribe the only thing he's going to remotely like up there is Yue
I'm also guessing Katara left the southern tribe to venture North in this purely to learn more water bending till she crossed paths with Len and becomes one of the your the Avatar you have to help voices in the group
To which it's going to be so fun seeing Len shoot those notions of I have to do something because avatar reason x,y and z down
Lastly might have mentioned before but hope with Airbending Len invents the trick that lets him steal someone's breath away
More or less...
Well...
Hah, that would be interesting.
He would do that just to piss Zuko off.
And Len would shamelessly watch her, even if there's people around.
Len has a grandfather there, so... He might do what he did to Toph and the Waitress.
Not exactly...
His own words: Solver your own damn messes, I have other stuff to do.
Oh, I like that idea.
Bloody auto correct it was meant to be glad Len isn't ashamed when it comes to his state of dress
Thinking bout it's going to be fun reading the girls reaction to a mostly nude Len haha
Now saw a response to a legend of korra segment and I will say that is a shame that Len wouldn't be around in the Korra timeline as that means he'd die relatively young
I also can't help but love the idea of a older yet still handsome Len grumbling about having to deal with all this shit and just curb stomping everything that gets in the way of him getting to enjoy his retirement haha
Clarify wouldn't want to see a Korra era story until this one was finished haha
So even if all his past lives will annoy Len I got to ask which past Avatar in particular is Len going to loath because I'm thinking Roku or Kyoshi leaning a tad bit more towards Roku
I also just realised it's going to be fun reading Len possibly willingly cutting off his connection to the past lives and we know a link to the last lives isn't needed to get the Avatar state going
Can just picture the last lives shouting at Len not to do it and him just saying goodbye fuck you all and cutting them off
Oh yeah I'd be careful about how vulnerable you make Len to Benders after all surly he's fought and killed plenty of Benders already
Really really hope you do go with Len just clawing out a victory over Toph plus if he loses to her I don't see her wanting to leave with him
So possible for a preview of Len enjoying some decadence
Never...
(Azula: Smirk.
Ty Lee: Widened her eyes
Mai: No reaction, but don't stop looking.
Toph: Clueless look at its direction.
Everyone else, looks away embarrassed)
Sorry...
Kind of...
He will feel very inclined to do that.
His vulnerability isn't drastic but he has to be extra careful.
It was a draw..
Sorry, maybe in the next chapter (If you have any specific request.)
hmm not a bad toph-len intro
I'm glad.
hmmm intrigue xD
What?
Nice
Good
Nice
Good
Nice
Good
Good thing Len kept his guard up haha
Side note glad Len is ashamed when it comes to whatever state of dress he's in
Pretty ballsy plan on Xin Fu part to rob the Beifong family still glad Len immediately knew what the intentions of the plan actually are going to be fun seeing him screw Xin Fu over
Love that Len immediately knew Toph was more than she appeared and highly capable I like his ability to instantly read people and see what they are about thinking about really neat that he can tell a lot about a person from a glance
Well Toph and Len certainly had a interesting first meeting haha and to be honest I hope next chapter we get the tail end of their fight with it either ending with Len just eking out the win and then the two get to talking
So alteration to a previous statement hope Len leaves town with Toph on his arm and a bit of the Beifong wealth after all its not like the family is going to run out of money like ever haha and Toph is entitled to that money anyway haha
Thrilled you liked his animal companion suggestions with them really hoping you go with him having a Sabertooth Moose Lion with their still being a Shirshu in the group thanks to June speaking of Animals glad you liked the idea that Len finds the air nomad temples to be teeming with wildlife instead of being desolate for the most part
Guessing with Airbending he will be getting some tips from Aang when he pops up but neat to learn he's going to be a self taught master but that should only happen once otherwise if that could happen a lot why would each new Avatar not just commune with the past Avatars to learn everything about Bending in place of being taught by teachers on the mortal plain
The fact Len's team Avatar is going to be forced on him for the most part still cracks me up a little I can just picture a scene where he says something like I invited some of you to wander the world with me the rest of you fuckers just keep following me around
Also liking the fact that Len will be dealing with issues like Zhao and even Jet immediately
One happy with the conformation that we will be getting a "beach episode" in this and that Azula is going to be pursuing Len like that honestly I hope with his great analytic abilities and a bit of common sense he knows why Azula is a tad social inept and that he finds her "flirting" to be oddly endearing
Speaking of Azula hope Len can help her with her issues and in summary while Azula stays Azula she stops caring in the slightest for Ozai, and becomes a better friend to Mai and Ty Lee and caring for a handful of people the rest of the world is still of course beneath her and those she cares about
Yes.
Not one bit.
More like a stupid plan that backfired for him, because now he manage to piss Len off.
That is one of his greatest strengths.
They did more than just talk...
Not before Len gets some payback for the time Xin Fu made him waste. And Toph is indeed entitled to that money.
The animal companion will probably appear after a few more chapters.
That's actually a little more complicated.
Some will be forced, others are there for other reasons.
One will suffer a pretty painful end and the other will suffer a painful beating.
I'm gonna be very honest with you, although Len is a skirt-chaser, his true love will definitely be Azula. (Len actually inputs his habit of forcibly kissing every pretty girl he likes on her and unlike all the others, she actually likes it.)
More or less...
I wonder will Len get along with Aang spirit. I can see a great dynamic with these two, there both the opposite, and I see these two bond as sibling. Aang being the younger nice brother, while Len as the older jackass brother.
I know that you said that Len is a unapologetic person, however I would like to see if Aang and Len get into an argument, Len says something to Aang that crosses the line, an a chapter later Len apologies to Aang, and there were there bone starts to group
After Len encounters Aang's body, his spirit kind of becomes a companion to Len. (Aang explains that the previous Avatars sent him due to Len's refusal to actually do his duty.)
Len's backstory will actually explain why he's such an asshole. In truth he used to be just like Aang when he was younger.
