Alternate Ending
"What are your orders?" Hazel inquired, "Is the attack on Beacon still on schedule."
Salem placed a hand on her chin, deep in thought.
"...No."
"No?!" Cinder exclaimed.
"No. Hazel and Tyrian have been exposed, Arthur nearly exposed as well. Beacon will be on high alert. Not only that, but, while Cinder didn't reveal herself, Summer could easily track you down due to her Grimm modifications. As such, by the time your plan could come to fruition, Summer could've discovered you. Especially since I gave you her weapons as a gift. An oversight I had not intended."
"What shall we do, your grace?" Arthur questioned.
"Return to Evernight. We'll have to come up with a new plan. And it will not be simple. So long as Summer remains in Vale, it is no longer a possible target."
"As you command."
With that, Salem's agents had fled from Vale. While her agents would create chaos in the other kingdoms, Vale would remain off limits so long as Summer remained.
Clover and Robyn would return to Atlas, with Robyn eventually getting a Council seat. James would bring her in on the war against Salem, and the two of them would begin to mend relationships between Atlas and Mantle.
Qrow would continue his work for Ozpin and, whenever he was in Atlas, he would occasionally drink with Robyn and Clover.
Raven would return to the Branwen Tribe, and, while the public didn't know it, she dethroned Lil' Miss Malachite as Mistral's Underworld Queen. Occasionally, she'd visit the others, but only in bird form. Only Qrow and Summer would consistently notice her visits.
Team RWBY would go on to eventually graduate and, while they could never find a way to cure Summer of her condition, Ruby and Yang never cared much for it. When they left to explore the world, Summer followed them. It would be years before Salem would make her move against Vale.
But that isn't the story we're talking about. This is simply what might've happened.
Author's Notes: Very much a 'If Salem was actually being smart' situation. I kept it as bare bones as possible, as I wanted to leave the imagination to you guys.
