Chapter 4 - Danger-Danger
Have you ever been in a moment in which time stops around you, be it either love or fear? Yh it's defiantly fear that has made time stop and my heart slows its beat to a crawl, I'm sure that Gamers Mind was supposed to prevent things like this, but guess not?
Anyway, where was I, ah yes shitting my pants as I stared into the eyes of a protective momma kitsune, one that could throw me to the moon at my current strength.
"H... hello, my name is Corvo, and this is Ranto, we have come here to ask for training," I say as I continue to lock eyes with Yakasa my eyes pleading for her to help us grow in power.
"Now why would I do that, epically for a fallen" Yakasa states, no emotion in her voice, hell she has an amazing poker face I can't read anything from her.
*Hey what's that supposed to mean, we haven't done anything wrong* she then ducks her head as Yakasa's eyes snap to her cowering under the weight of the stare. *s... sorry* even with Ranto in the corner of my vision, I could still see her tail tuck in and her get closer to the ground.
"Well, I can help you, I mean if you need anything is done on the down-low I can do it this makes sure that nothing comes back to you unless you advertise it, Hehe" I rub the back of my head, feeling silly for saying that to a being that is like 100x my power level already speaking off. Observe

HOLY SHIT, I flinch back eyes wide as the stats pop up, also what the hell are tiers.
[Tiers allow you to see what level you are in; they act as multipliers. Here is the list and there added multipliers

Tier - D - Supernatural - X2
Tier - C - High-level - X3
Tier - B - Ultimate - X4
Tier - A - God - X5
Tier - S - Primordial - X6
Yakasa is a high B nearing a Low A tier, meanwhile, someone like Sirzechs Lucifer would be a high Tier A nearing a low Tier S]
Fuck, fuck, fuck, what the fuck am I going to do, anything that I could do for her, she can do it herself with both arms tied behind her back.
Standing straight I start to talk "Please Lady Yakasa let me..." BOOM, a loud sound like an explosion resonates from behind me, myself, Ranto and Yakasa all turn to it as all our eyes widen as we see a 40ft wide, 100ft long snake, its scales are a metallic purple, its eyes shine with an emerald, green shine. Black spiral patterns flow down its body and its massive fangs pokes out of its closed maw.
But what shocks us is the chibi fox girl that is about to be crushed by it.
"KUNOU" Yakasa shouts arm extended.
Without thinking I cast Far-Step and Lightening burst at the same time, letting me clear the distance in the span of half a second, grabbing Kunou, tucking her into my body and jumping away with another Far-Step as the giant snake body slams the ground where we once were.
The force of the slam still manages to connect with me even with the distance that I created, "Ahhhhhhh" I shout in pain as a lump of concrete slams into my back, managing to twist so I don't land on Kunou, my eyes widen when I see the giant snake right behind me its maw wide, ready to swallow.
"Boom" blue fire slams into the side of its head, throwing it a few feet away, taking the opening I was given I jump up and start to run before another Youkai appears Infront of me, this being has black crow-like wings, with a crow head, it's wearing a hermit robe.
"Trust Yung-So, he's Kunou's bodyguard" Yakasa shouts still doing battle with the giant reptile. Using a quick Observe I look towards Yung-So.

Passing her over without a second thought I look back to the fight waiting for an opening that I can exploit, and there it is, right after I see Yakasa uppercut the snake stunning it, I speed towards it, wings out lightning sparking of my body making my speed multiply, as I get close I see out the corner of my eye Ranto calling bolts of lightning down from the now dark cloudily sky, I grin "Fuck you, you stupid danger noodle" as I cast Lightning Blade on both hands pushing it with more power than I can safely handle.
The snake's eyes widen as it sees what I'm attempting to do, its body contracting to put on a burst of speed to dodge, that's when Ranto's lightning bursts from the sky, slamming into it stunning it for a second, but a second is all I need, jumping towards its face I thrust both hands forward, one managing to strike its large fang, the other impaling into its left eye, it flinches back and starts screaming in pain, hopping to the ground back away as I use Observe on this snake.

Even with all the attacks we have been doing, it still has more than half HP, not letting it get any time to react I summon Serpent-Fang Spear to my hand channelling my Lightning Flow technique through it, my wings flap as they propel me towards its face once more I manage to just scratch it before all I feel is pain as its tail slams into me, launching me far away, the next thing I know is that I'm embedded into a large rock, cracks appearing around me as air and blood escape my mouth
*CORVO* Ranto screams as she flashes next to me, trying to see if I'm ok, my eyes start to close as I see Manda striking towards us.
No, no, no it can't end like this, get up Corvo, get up, up, UP, UP, darkness overtakes me as my eyes close.
Yakasa POV
Watching as the fallen child manipulate lightning to impale this demon snake in the eye permanently blinding it and defanging it of one of its canines, I couldn't help but be impressed, while no way near her level of power he was strong, in a few years he can compare to the real monster of this wide world,
Holding Kunou closer to myself, I gasped as the child was hit hard and flew into the surrounding derbies, she could hear the creaks of broken bones and smell the blood from here, hearing the panic shouts of the Raijū tugged at her heart but her daughter came first.
Closing her eyes and whispering a small prayer "let's go" I say as I start to move out. I freeze as a power stops me in my track
spinning around I stare at the scene in front of me, the demon snake has been stopped in its place, they're holding it back with one hand, a white glow surrounds his body is the fallen child
"That's Touki, how can a fallen use Touki," Yung-So said, his tone in shock and disbelief, I couldn't blame him, I was in the same state of mind, I blink in shock, that all it took, one second the fallen, no Corvo he has earned that right, just punched the demon snake, Touki and light surrounds his fist, it throws it back, its body has fist indents in its body as it lands dust flying into the air.
As the dust settles, I see Corvo on the face first on the ground unconscious, the Raijū fussing over him, the area where the demon snake landed is barren of all life, the grass and plant life is dead, and the snake has disappeared. A large hole in the ground, "looks like it's burrowed away my lady " Yung-So states. "yes, I see that. Pick up the boy and let's go, he deserves some rest he saved my little Kunou"
Back to Corvo
Opening my eyes I groan in pain as my body feels like it has been through the wringer, I am sore from head to toe then even further beyond, looking around without moving my body I see that I am in a large room, hell this room is half the size of my apartment back in Kuoh, I I can see the cream walls that are holding framed pictures of animals, not normal one though, these hold images of Kitsune, Nekomata, Tengú, and many others.
The next thing I know my eyes are covered by a fluffy form as my name is shouted out by Ranto, the cat-like Raijū deciding that the best course of action when seeing your friend wake up is to jump on their face and smother them
"Ranto get off" I tried to say but my voice muffled, she didn't, me saying that just made her snuggle in more, moving my arms in a slow motion, due to pain and not trying to spook her, I get my hands around her and try to use my feeble strength to pull her off.
We go at this for a few minutes, before I hear some giggling making us freeze, not wasting any time I lift Ranto off my face and take a deep gasp of air, spinner her around I look deep into her eyes, my eyes softening looking at her eyes as I see the tear building up in the corner of her eyes.
Just bringing Ranto into my chest I hold her while my eyes look onto the source of the giggling, there standing at the doorway are 2 females Kitsune, Yakasa and Kunou standing there, the older woman with a smirk while little Kunou is the one giggling.
"I see that you up and feeling better if you are playing around like that" Yakasa states still having that shit-eating grin, "Mama, can I play with the kitty," Kunou asks with wide eyes, "Not at the moment darling, I still need to talk to young Corvo here" she just pouts at not being able to play.
"It's ok, I don't mind if Ranto doesn't" "Sure I don't mind, get better Corvo, or I am going to slap you silly like last time" "Pretty sure I kicked your ass kitty cat" I deadpan, then I just throw Ranto towards Kunou "have fun, please look after her, she is trouble incarnate" "Hey" Kunou just giggled hugging Ranto a bit too tight as I see her eyes widen and her face redden from lack of oxygen before she is dragged out the room by a very happy Kunou.
"Now that we are alone, do you remember what happened?" Yakasa suddenly stated, "N... No, I have no recollection of what happened, why did something bad happen" Yakasa hum's just staring at me "No, nothing bad, I'm going to ask some questions ok, I want you to answer truthy ok" "ok, no problem"
"Ok, question 1, what is your name and what are you?"
"My name is Corvo, I am 11 years old, and I am a 2-winged fallen angel"
"Question 2, have you had any training before coming here"
"Only self-taught, I am a mage before a warrior, that's why I wanted to come here and learn from the Youkai"
Yakasa just hums as she contemplates this, "Ok last question, are you working for any other fraction and what is your rank in the Grigori "
"I'm not working for anyone, my sister didn't want me to join anything at my age, my sister is Benemune by the way"
"hmmmm, ok then did you know that when you were knocked out you somehow used Touki."

"Oh, Oh hell yes" I pump my fist in the air
"Yes, yes, I understand that you are happy, before anything though I want to thank you for saving my baby, I froze up when I saw what was going to happen to her, it's thanks to you that she is alive. So, thank you." she bows her head to me as she says this.
"If I remember right, you said you want training from us for your services, is that offer still on the table."
My eyes widen in surprise as I sit up straight more "Y... yes it's still on the table, thank you"
"That's good then, rest up tomorrow we will start your training" Yakasa gives me a beaming smile, then walks out the door.
Starting to close my eyes I get the image of an older me, 12 wings as black as the void, controlling magic as easy as breathing, with a family a few kids and a silhouette of a woman standing next to me, hand in hand.
"I want that" I mutter as I fall into a blissful sleep.

So, I wanted to create my very own self-insert story, I have taken inspiration from TheDarkWolfShiro for this, so go take a look at his stories, they are amazing.
I own my own OC and maybe a few other characters that may appear later on in the story.
