It was early morning when Francois returned home from the bar. He wasn't sure what to think about the information that Andres gave him. Who knew the meek lady he met years ago was capable of such evil towards her own children. And the man that she called husband so many years ago didn't even bother to take in his own children but left them instead. It was sad and wrong but its life.
Francois lit a cigarette while quietly making his way to his room before Oliver woke up with his morning routine and chipper attitude. That man was always too much. With his thoughts running about Francois had failed to realize that he had an intruder cleaning his room.
"Oliver what are you doing?" The Frenchman sighed. He was going to need another cigarette for this.
" I'm cleaning silly! Good morning by the way!"
"Oliver"
"Where were you last night. Those poor dears needed cheering up and you were nowhere to be found."
"You know I'm not good at that."
"Nonsense! Mya seems comfortable around you. She asked about you. I was worried"
"Well don't. Look I'm tired, can we do this later."
"Later. Later he says!"
Francois sighed again; he is going to need more than one cigarette for this.
"I was with Andres"
" Excuse me! Why were you with him?"
"I needed information on the girls. If we are going to protect them like you and the boys seem so keen on doing, we need to know everything about them."
Oliver sighed, Francois was right, but it still didn't sit right with him. Andres was as good as Francois at getting information.
"Why didn't you do it yourself?"
"I'm a bit biased towards the children. I may find something that I won't be so levelheaded about. Besides I'm too lazy to do so myself, Andres owed me one."
"You could have just asked Faye herself."
"You think she'd tell us everything?"
"Well, no but"
"Exactly" Francois cut Oliver off before he began his explanation.
"Look, the information that Andres gave me is sound."
Oliver sighed; he knew the Frenchman was right, but it didn't mean that he had to admit it either.
"Let's hear it then."
"Oliver, for the last time. We can do this later. After I've gotten some sleep."
"Sleep later asshat! We're doing this now! So, talk."
Both men turned around to see Al storming inside the room while Matt was leaning on the door post. Francois stared down the boys for a few seconds before sighing. He really should have known better. Instead, he started talking
While Francois explained everything to Oliver, Faye was having a rough Saturday morning. All three of her siblings were on her bed due to nightmares and clung to her the entire night. Unfortunately, all three just went to sleep and hour ago and looked like they were about to wake up again. It was going to be a long day.
'Where are they?'
It had been months since he went out. Any meetings that were scheduled had been cancelled as of late. What was going on with his other counterparts?
Before he could make any assumptions, his phone went off notifying him of a text, before quickly reading it. "Again" Kuro sighed before walking off from the destined meeting place. Luciano had called off their meeting and Lutz didn't bother to show up. 'What are those two up to?'
With that in mind Kuro decided to go and track down his allies.
'Who to track down first? Lutz should be at work right about now...might as well start with him.'
And with that he headed to the shelter Lutz was employed at.
Meanwhile at Mayday Pet Shelter and Rescue
Faye and Lutz were having quite a day.
"She just had to go and call out, didn't she?" Lutz growled as he stamped another adoption form.
"If she's sick, she's sick"
"You can stop taking her side, she's not here you know."
"I'm not taking sides."
"Yeah. You are."
"Look. Sandy's our boss and all but when has she taken a day off?"
"Last time she was sick."
"Exactly! Now if you want to growl about someone, be mad at the sorry excuse of help that was sent to us!" The girl explained, her companion was quiet for a few minutes before starting up again.
"I can't believe those two are no shows!"
"..."
"They just didn't show up without a word to anyone! Knowing damn well they are on the schedule. Just who do they think they are!"
"Uh Lutz"
"I, on the other hand at least give you a heads up! Or I just sleep on the couch! No wonder Sandy puts up with me. We should get her something nice."
"You should get her something nice"
"Are we not together in this?"
"No. No, we are not."
"Come on liebling" Lutz cooed while holding his arms out for a hug. Faye stood there staring at the man blankly.
"Back off"
"Come on! Give me a hug!"
"Lutz"
"How about a kiss?"
Again, Faye stood in the same spot staring at her coworker and friend before taking off down the hall.
"FAYE!"
"NOPE!"
"COME BACK!"
"NO!"
"YOU OWE ME A KISS!"
"I OWE YOU NOTHING!"
"I'M DOING WORK FOR YOU!"
"I don't get paid enough for this"
Typical Lutz occupying his time with a girl. He should have known better. The German would often miss meetings for whatever caught his attention. It would always fall on Kuro or Luciano to drag him to meetings. Sadly, Kuro did not feel like interrupting whatever that was and left the shelter the same way he entered. Luciano would have the answers that he seeked. If, he could find him of course.
It was always easy to find various mafia members but never the man himself. This could take a while.
