These are not my characters. I make zero dollars from this. Just plugging characters into my original story. Full disclosure this could go a bit sideways with the plot that is my favorite way to write things. Stick around for the ride.
Brian POV
"You reach her yet brother?" Roman asked him
I shook my head.
"Really screwed up this time and she wasn't wrong to be mad. I basically ignored her. She won't even pick up the phone to tell me off." I confessed.
"Does she have any contacts in the area that may know where she is?" Dom asked.
I thought about it and then jumped up.
"She has an old boyfriend in the city. He's still in love with her. If she needed a place to escape he wouldn't turn her away." I said.
"Let's go," Dom said standing up and heading for the door. I kissed Mia and hustled after him.
20 minutes later found us pulling up in front of the Hyperion Hotel.
"This place looks like a Dive. You sure this is the right place Bro?" Dom asked.
"Yeah, he should be here." I pushed open the door and stopped. Dozens of young girls were spread out around the room and I saw a few familiar faces.
"Angel," I called when I saw him come around the corner.
"Brian?" he asked as I headed in his direction and silence took over.
"Where is she?" I asked.
"Who are you? I heard behind us.
"Rupert, where is she?"I repeated my question to the man I'd met years ago.
"Giles, who is this?" A redhead asked.
"This is Buffy's brother," The Englishman told her.
"She never told us she had a brother. She isn't here. We've relieved her of duty." I guy with an eyepatch said.
I stepped toward him before Dom grabbed my shoulder. "What do you mean relieved of duty? Did you drug her? If you hurt her? I'll make sure nobody sees the light of day ever again." My voice grew louder the angrier I got.
"You don't know anything and it is time for you to leave." The redhead said again and then waved several girls towards me.
"Touch me and everyone will be rounded up and arrested," I growled and pulled back my shirt revealing my badge, and spoke once more. "Now I will ask again, where is my sister?"
"I can make you leave without touching you." The redhead girl said lifting her arms.
"Enough!" Angle yelled. "You need to remember that you all are only here because Buffy asked me to provide a safe haven for a few days. Otherwise, You would have been on your own. Brian, if you and your friend follow me, we can talk in my office." Dom and I moved to follow him.
"Angel, you don't mean that. Buffy was a loose cannon." was called after use.
The man in question stopped abruptly and spun around.
"You all need to remember who I am. 24 hours Giles and I will be physically removing everyone."
We entered an elevator and silently headed to the top floor. He was gesturing us towards the end of the hall. Once inside the office, he locked the door behind him.
"Please have a seat, First, Buffy is okay." I flopped back into the chair.
"As well as Pet can be since she has been back." Another voice said from behind us.
"Spike," I held out my hand towards him.
"Hello Prat," he replied shaking it. Dom laughed.
"Seems like this guy knows you, Brian." Dom joked.
"Yeah Spike and I have always been best friends. Look, I know my behavior has sucked the past few weeks but she is my sister. Did they hurt her?" I implored.
"Not physically but the emotional toll on top of everything else has been a lot. They've basically said she cannot be the leader. We even heard rumblings of binding her slayer abilities." Angel explained.
"Her what?" Dom asked.
"I will explain everything as soon as we can see her Dom," I assured him.
He looked skeptical but nodded.
"We've set her up near here. They don't know where she is. Just my team, Spike and Faith." Angel continued.
"Any way you can take us to her? I need to beg for her forgiveness." I pleaded.
Both of the men who loved my sister stared at me.
"I'll take him to grovel to the Queen." Faith's voice said as she entered.
Spike and Faith snuck us out the back and we followed her on a black motorcycle. 25 minutes later we pulled up to a small house. We followed her up the few steps to the front door before she knocked sticking a key in the lock and pushing it open.
"Yo B, You've got guests. Got any food?"
"Delivery is arriving soon, Spike called to say you were coming. Like I would let you starve." a voice responded from upstairs.
A few moments later, Buffy came downstairs.
"Brian?" She said as she deflated a bit.
"Hey," I said stepping closer.
"I don't have any energy to fight with you." She admitted
"I don't want to fight. I am here to quote Faith, "Grovel to the queen." I admitted.
She shook her head vehemently, "I'm not the queen," She spat. "They kicked me out of my own house and put me in danger. If it weren't for Spike letting me sleep in his crypt I wouldn't have slept till after Sunnydale."
She started to sob I moved forward and snagged her before her knees buckled. Swinging her up and carrying her over to the couch, just rocking her.
Once her sobs quieted I spoke, "I really am sorry baby girl." I felt her hands grip my shirt.
"I forgive you. I was just really hurt and angry. I didn't mean to hurt you." I heard Faith laugh.
"You hurt him B? What did you do?" Faith inquired.
"Slammed him into a car face first. I thought my sister was going to lose it. Roman stopped us all from interfering." Dom added.
"Sounds in line with Queen B and her anger management issues." Faith joked.
"Don't make me kick your ass again Faith." The voice from my lap called.
There was a knock on the door.
"I will get it. Dinner's on me." Faith called.
Buffy jumped up. "Stealing my wallet doesn't count as you paying." She yelled and headed towards the door. She paused and turned to face Dom who was leaning on the all.
I chuckled as she sized him up.
"Hi, I'm Buffy." She held out a hand.
"Dom." He replied.
"Excuse me I have to go shake her again." Off she dashed as Dom watched her leave.
"Hey," I hissed. "That's my sister."
He gave me a grin and followed her.
