(Early Authors Note: Greetings! I am back again and with chapter 9! I took a bit of time off, but now I'm back and ready to continue this Tale!
To 54Godamora: No doubt about it. Those shipgirls won't ever let go.
Now, enjoy!)
Three days.
Three long days since Kaga and Yorktown completely erased the slipspace drive that could've gotten Olaf and the others back home. At first, they were all angry as can be. But after some more thought (along with remembering 'The Kiss') they got a laugh out of it all and decided to make the most of it.
Besides, they knew that once they signed up for the UNSC they would probably never return. They had all made their peace before leaving for Reach all that time ago.
Now, here they all are at the Azur Lane base.
With Spartan Olaf-013 as the new commander.
It all started a day after the 'farewell' speech. A rather important-looking person drove up into the base and asked to speak with 'the Spartan who single-handley saved us all'. Olaf kept trying to say everyone helped, but no one really chose to take any credit. Olaf was the one who really did carry the battle, especially when Cholok attacked.
To that end, high-command of Azur Lane made Olaf, though he was from a different world, commander of the shipgirls of Azur Lane.
At first, Olaf didn't know what to say (or do for that matter), but a party was still thrown, and everyone had a good time.
Kyle had nearly drunk himself into a stupor, Finn was discussing with Nagato and Bismark what they will do now that they are part of the alliance again, and the whole crew in general was just mingling with the others. At the end of it all, everyone gathered around for one big picture.
It was a tight fit so everyone could get in, but it worked out and now Olaf has a nice picture to bring with him back home.
Once the fun was done, Olaf went to what was now his own quarters in the base for a long night's sleep. It felt rather nice, being in charge of something as large and important as Azur Lane. But Olaf would never forget (or give up on) trying to recreate a slipspace drive and return home. He sighed, wondering what to do with his life now that he'll be stuck here for a while, and opened the door to his room.
All to find a dark lighting, blue rose petals with a sweet scent, and a kitsune waiting for him.

"Yeeeeaaaah no. I-i'm not dealing with any of…" he then gestured at the sight before him "this."
At this, Kaga pouted and said "Oh, come now Dear Commander." Kaga saying 'Dear Commander' (something that Akagi usually says) is one of the many red flags popping up in Olafs mind. "I simply wish to help you relieve the stress of commanding so many people. So, come here. Or will I have to come to you?"
Olaf was just too dumbstruck to say anything. This was still technically a ship, and 'getting it on' with one would probably be incredibly weird, and hurt like heck. But what does he know?
Nevertheless, he just quickly turns and runs away.
A disappointed Kaga soon gains a smirk and says "Very well then. Game on."
As he is still running through the dark halls, Olaf soon stumbles outside into the fresh air. He took a breath and felt relaxed already. Nothing like a crisp, night air to relax the mind and body. Olaf then walked along the pier and then off onto the beach, where he stumbled into Yorktown (of all ships). But he remembered how she usually liked looking at the stars as well as him.
When she felt his stare, Yorktown turned (rather quickly) and said "Oh! Olaf… I didn't know you were there."
He simply replied "No worries. I hope I didn't startle you or anything. Just thought I might… take one last look at the sky before getting some long shut-eye."
"Oh. Well then, have a good night Olaf. Or, well…" Yorktown then got a little too close to Olaf and said "do I call you Commander now? And, you can call me anything you like, m'kay?" she then grabbed one of Olaf's hands and guided it to a, uh… 'pillowy area' while the other she guided 'down and behind'. "Y'know, even though I'm fixed and ready now, I might still need someone to do… surface-feeling maintenance just so I don't have anything wrong. Don't you think so?"
As Olaf looked away from where Yorktown put his hands (he knew pulling away gently wouldn't do much because she would grab him again, and he didn't want to forcefully push her down), he was taken by complete surprise. When Kaga had that little 'scene' earlier, Olaf had just vaguely suspected she would do something like that, so he wasn't as surprised as you or me would have been. But, ever since aiding in Yorktowns repairs, the ship herself has been acting weird.
Now, by no means is Olaf able to see the future, rather, he has a rather interesting gift of 'foresight'. At least a kind of foresight (nothing like how Elves might). The fact that Yorktown aided in the slipspace drives' destruction should've made Olaf think and at least get a hunch as to thinking Yorktown would pull something like this.
But, being a Spartan (and therefore someone whose main (and basically only) purpose is for battle), he has never experienced, let alone thought of, love. That, along with the fact that he's just a person who isn't really suspicious of his allies (after knowing them for a while), made him entirely unprepared for the acts that both Kaga and Yorktown have done (and all in one night too!)
His senses quickly came back to him and wrenched himself away from Yorktown. A good thing too, she was starting to have this odd look on her face and was panting and breathing heavily, but not as if she was tired. He backed away, turned and sped off, saying "G-good night Yorktown!"
Said ship just smiled a (very lewd) smile and said, "Oh. I hoped you would run off and prepare your tools. I'll be waiting tomorrow."
Unbeknownst to her, Kaga was hiding nearby and watched the whole thing. She then said to herself "Tch. That Eagle Union thief thinks she can steal Olaf's heart? She won't get him this easy again. So watch your back Yorktown, or else you might just get back on your way to becoming a pile of scrap."
Kaga was only half kidding…
Olaf (as quietly as a Spartan could be), snuck back to his room and sighed in relief when he saw Kaga wasn't there. He quickly closed and locked the door, then undressed and went to bed.
And to think his first night would be more hectic than the party…
Nevertheless, he'll put up with this if it means getting a new slipspace drive. Seer should already be hard at work in building it. Olaf had dropped off his ship's scientists and technicians (but not all, of course) to aid in the endeavor.
At Installation 07-B...
Suffice to say… things could have gone better.
The fact that the scientists were more concerned with studying Installation 07-B wasn't the biggest problem, it was the fact that this world just doesn't have enough of (or any at all) of the required materials.
Besides, the slipspace drive was created in a world that was clearly way more advanced than this world in terms of spacecraft. It was something that ought to have been seen coming, but Olaf, Finn and Kyle (in their zealousness to return home) didn't see and some say downright neglected and/or ignored it. Honestly, Seer told them they might not have enough, but noooooooo they say 'Oh, I'm sure things will work out'.
They wouldn't work out very well back then, and they aren't working well now.
So, for now, progress is somewhere between a slow crawl and an abrupt halt (due in no small part to the 'help' Olaf sent here). Really, just 07-B is a long-lost Halo Ring, that doesn't make it a damn museum! They need to keep their hands to themselves!
That aside, all that can be done for the drive is hope for something to come along and change things.
(Ending Authors Note: And that's a wrap! The first chapter to what will be part Bisoku Zenshin and the continuation of Olaf and Choloks story is done! Now, if you are wondering what prima nocta means, it (from what Edward Longshanks in Braveheart says) means 'first night'. So, both Yorktown and Kaga were trying to have 'sexual relations with Olaf, and on his first night. I hope you all enjoyed and don't forget to please review (that really goes a long way in helping my Tales), follow, favorite and share with others. Farewell!
